With winter upon us, it's crucial to exercise caution when driving in adverse weather. Please stay informed about road conditions, and ensure your vehicles are prepared for the challenges that the season may bring.

Reflecting on the holiday season, I want to express my gratitude to our community for their incredible support during our successful toy drive.

Thanks to your generosity, we were able to provide, in partnership, for numerous American Canyon families, spreading joy and warmth during this festive time.

It's essential to remember that winter months often see an increase in home fires. I urge you to familiarize yourselves with your home's escape routes and review fire safety measures, such as checking your smoke and carbon monoxide alarms. Being proactive and prepared can make a significant difference in ensuring the safety of your loved ones and property.

COMMMUNITY OUTREACH Toys For Tots Thanks to the generosity of the American Canyon community the needs of the American Canyon community were once again met through the Toys for Tots program.

AmCanFire partnered with the United States Marine Corp Reserve and the American Canyon Family Resource Center. Thank you Am Can!

Partnership with Napa County Animal Shelter AmCanFire joined other Public Safety agencies in Napa County in partnership with Napa County Animal Shelter in finding FUR-ever homes for dogs, cats, and other homeless friends. Pictured here is Probationary Firefighter Kreps, Porche and Chief Belyea.

EXPLORER CORNER

For our December training we did interview prep with all the explorers. Each explorer was asked to bring a resume to drill, and they all participated in fire service style interviews. The goal of this month's drill was to provide an opportunity to each explorer to enter an interview environment with the feedback from the advisors running the panel. Hopefully, this opportunity will better prepare them for entering the job market whether it be a fire service interview or just their first job.
