My Company Program

To encourage growth and prevent micro, small and medium-sized companies in Barueri from ending their activities, the city hall, in partnership with Sebrae and the business accelerator InovaHub, implemented the My Company Program.

Through its Secretariat of Industry, Commerce and Labor (Sict), the municipality will work with startups and micro, small and medium-sized companies, registered in the National Register of Legal Entities (CNPJ) and based in the city.

Companies that enroll in the Program will have access to online content and mentoring. This knowledge material can help entrepreneurs reach new heights of growth.

Women’s Entrepreneurship Week

The city hall of Barueri, through its Secretariat for Women and in partnership with Sebrae, held the Women’s Entrepreneurship Week.

The event aims to create new opportunities for female entrepreneurship, with meetings and lectures related to the topic. On the days of the event, there is an exhibition of the products of entrepreneurs from Barueri.

Permanently, the city has the Sebrae Aqui Mulher post, which helps women in the city to pursue their goals and build their businesses. On site it is possible to obtain information on how to be an Individual Microentrepreneur (MEI).

For the second consecutive year, Barueri was elected the most competitive city in Brazil, according to a study carried out by the Public Leadership Center (CLP), and published by the newspaper O Estado de São Paulo.

The city leads the ranking of Competitiveness and Sustainability of Municipalities. In 2021, it achieved an overall score of 68.26 points; the difference between this score and that of the previous year is 3.93 points above the score obtained in the previous year.

The CLP study analyzes three dimensions: Institutions,

Society and Economy; in which 13 categories are analyzed: Fiscal Sustainability, Operation of the Public Machine, Environment, Access to Health, Quality of Health, Access to Education, Quality of Education, Safety, Sanitation and Environment, Economic Insertion, Innovation and Economic Dynamism, Capital Human and Telecommunications.

Among the 411 municipalities, with more than 80 thousand inhabitants, Barueri reached the first position, followed by the municipalities of São Caetano do Sul/SP and Florianópolis/SC; respectively.

The startups, who participate in the My Company Program, will also compete for a spot on the reality show “Startups Battle – Stage Barueri”. The winner will receive a R$1 million prize in acceleration and media and another trip to Silicon Valley, USA. The micro, small and medium-sized companies compete for a prize of R$ 100,000 in media and will participate in a reality show, shown on the Inova 360 program.

My Future Program

Aimed at the professional qualification of Barueri citizens, My Future Program, by the Department of Industry, Commerce and Work, offers professional training courses free of charge.

Among the courses offered are self-employed electricians, access controllers, management processes and small business management. Classes will be available on the online platform, for student access.
