Dear Mu Mu, where do you live? I live in Murphy. It is in the state of North Carolina in the United States of America. It is in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Our weather is sometimes hot, sometimes cold, but mostly rainy. What is your weather like?

Dear Hagan, I live in Chengdu, China. It is in the Sichuan Province. I live in the mountains too. Our weather is sometimes hot, sometimes cold, but mostly rainy too!

If you visit Chengdu you might like to see panda bears at the Panda Research Center. Pandas are cute! They eat 40 pounds of bamboo a day. They also eat carrots, apples, and special bread made just for pandas. Pandas are very popular in China!

Dear Mu Mu, we have bears too! But ours are black bears. Black bears eat fruits, berries, fish, and other small animals. Black bears are not cute, because they can hurt humans if we invade their space!

Dear Hagan, close to Chengdu we have a river. It is called the Ming River. The Ming River is part of the Dujiangyan Irrigation Project that is an irrigation and flood control project. It has been around for thousands of years! Many people come to see it because it is a very beautiful place.

Dear Mu Mu, in Murphy we have a river called Valley River. Our river runs into the Hiwassee Lake. We fish, swim, tube, and boat on the lake. It is a fun place to go!

Dear Hagan, what do you like to eat in Murphy? In Chengdu we like to eat spicy food!

The spicier the better! Our spiciest dish is called Hot Pot! It has a lot of peppers and spices in it. The food is so hot it makes you sweat. But we like spicy food in Chengdu!

Dear Mu Mu, if you come to Murphy you might eat fried chicken, gravy and biscuits, pizza, or hamburgers. My favorite foods to eat are pizza and grapes. These are not very spicy though!

Dear Hagan, what is your school day like? Our school is very interesting. The first thing we do at the beginning of the day is exercise. This is called calisthenics and it is fun! At our school we might learn music, art, math, or learn to speak English!

Dear Mu Mu, at our school, first thing in the morning, we eat breakfast and then we unpack in our classroom. We might do science, math, or work on our Chromebooks.

We also do art, music, gym, and library. School is fun!

Dear Mu Mu, I hope I can come visit Chengdu one day!
