Christopher is a graduate student at the University of Oregon whose work explores multidisciplinary experiences which enrich society through design. Raised by social activists in rural, urban, and suburban Chicagoland, he was immersed in diverse communities with complex economic and spatial histories. Childhood cross-country roadtrips camping in state and national parks also inspired interest in intercommunity dialogue and ecological advocacy.
Christopher's design interests lie in multi-scalar systems thinking, clear diagramming, collaborating with professionals and communities, and design detailing. He is currently exploring the rich textures and colors in mixed planting beds, and integrating natural and built material palettes.
In his free time Christopher is an enthusiastic rock climber, backcountry wilderness expeditioner, ink/watercolorist, and street medic.
