In the third semester, the architectural concept of site response and programme was explored. A critique of contemporary programmatic driven design methodologies is presented in this thirteen week studio series where the notion of programme has been deduced to have abetted the capitalistic accumulation process of space itself. A new parlance and renegotiation of space, or termed Benign Territorialism was thus rigorously explored, with copious experimentations to make viable a circulation-driven design methodologies that will offer a wider range and type of spatial democracy, manifested through visual porosity, as an alternative design ethos.
