NON-PROFIT SPOTLIGHT: African United Foundation Inc.

My name is William Esemu Nkemson. I am the Executive Director of African United Foundation Inc.

Our vision is to ensure that every child and young adult in Africa receives the education they deserve and becomes inspired to achieve what they once thought was impossible. The authentic leadership team of African United Foundation, Inc, understands the challenges and real world issues facing children in the Southwest Region of Africa. Each member of the Executive Team grew up in Cameroon, Africa and now resides in the United States. William Nkemson, Christopher Akeibom Toh & Henrietta Bettah each have a deep compassion for the situation and circumstances facing children and young adults, yet more importantly, they want to do something about it

The education system in Africa is dismal for children who have lost one or both parents and have no choice but to attend the public schools. The focus of African United Foundation is to provide safe spaces, compassionate instructors, and partnerships with Private Schools to ensure children are treated with dignity, respect, and care, so they can learn and develop.

Through the provision of support, guidance, education, training, and resources, African United Foundation will do good for others, be a positive light and improve the quality of life for African Children.

Our Back to School Donation in Cameroon will take place in December. Participate in our BACK-TO-SCHOOL DRIVE and/or our HOLIDAY KWANZA DRIVE! The Back-To-School Drive is in Honor of the June 16 “Day of the African Child” as celebrated in Africa.

We need notebook paper, pencils, erasers, colored pencils, markers, and solid-colored bookbags, are preferred. Gift Cards from Walmart, Target, Sam’s Club, Office Max, or Staples are also welcome, so items can be purchased here in the U.S. and then distributed in Africa.
