My name is Mary Jenkins, and I am the Founder/CEO of Cancer Option Collaborative, previously known as Christians Overcoming Cancer. We were founded in 2006 to help active treatment cancer patients succeed on their road to recovery through awareness, emotional support, and financial relief services. We specialize in bringing together resources to help them prevent eviction, utility disconnect, car repos, and more!

My desire is to impact the world of cancer to help those in the toughest battle of their life.

One of our success stories is the time we were able to arrange emergency transportation services from Columbus, OH to Toledo, OH for the mother of a little girl who was in treatment. The girl and her mother were life-flighted to Children's Hospital here due to some complications. After being stabilized and discharged, the mother was left to arrange a ride home to Toledo. Having little funds and not seeing a way to get home, the family was referred to The COC. Not only did we arrange transportation for both mom and daughter, but we were able to cover the cost as well.

Another success of The COC was when we stopped the eviction of a man who was battling stage IV cancer. We brought his bill current, and paid an additional month's rent!

We are excited about our “5 ALIVE Challenge” where we are seeking 10,000 people who will do 3 things. First, commit to making a monthly donation. Second, challenge 2 others to do the same. Third, impact the lives of those in treatment by sharing that they accepted the challenge, on social media.

In December, we will have the "Cancer Can't Stop Christmas" program where we provide wishlist presents to children 17 and under whose lives have been touched by cancer.

Coming in July 2023, is our “Raising the Bar Barber and Beauty Expo,” where industry professionals come together for education, product purchases, and competitions.
