1. INTRODUCTION
CHRG (Registered as Castle Hill RSL Club LTD) supports the ClubsNSW “Club Code of Practice” as issued in March 2023 and The Gaming Machines and Liquor Amendment (Harm Minimisation Measures) Regulations 2024. The following CHRG Harm Minimisation (Gaming) Policy reflects the requirements of both.
CHRG acknowledges the responsibility and privilege of holding a license to operate gaming machines and other forms of gambling within the state of New South Wales. Our hospitality venues, including Castle Hill RSL Club, Club Parramatta, Lynwood Golf and Country Club and Castle Hill Bowling Club, encourage the responsible use of gambling facilities within the Clubs and abides by the Club Gaming Code of Practice.
The purpose of this Policy is to outline our commitment and the framework that CHRG has in place to ensure best practice in the responsible conduct of gaming compliance. This Policy applies to all team members of CHRG and is overseen by the CHRG Gaming Department.
2. OUR APPROACH TO RESPONSIBLE GAMING
To ensure these commitments are met, CHRG has undertaken a responsible gaming risk assessment and has a adopted the industry standard Responsible Gambling Management program as provided by ClubsNSW as part of our ClubSafe Premium membership. The program was approved by the Board of Directors and a Compliance Officer was designated. The Compliance Officer for the Group is the Group Gaming, Loyalty, and Compliance Manager.
This approach includes the following components:
• Responsible Gambling Policy Statement (Appendix A)
• Gaming Plan of Management
• Responsible Conduct of Gambling Procedure
• Gaming Harm Minimisation Procedure
• Clubsafe Premium Membership
• Anti-money laundering and counter terrorism financing (AML/CTF) policy
3. BREACH OF THIS POLICY
Breaches of this Policy and accompanying programs and procedures may result in counselling and or disciplinary action, up to and including dismissal.
4. REVIEW OF THIS POLICY
This Policy will be reviewed every two years to ensure it remains consistent with all relevant legislative requirements, as well as the changing nature of the company or more frequently where legislative requirements are changed or amended.
5. POLICY COMMUNICATION AND EDUCATION
This Policy will be stored on CHRG’s intranet site. It will be incorporated into induction/onboarding programs and CHRG will conduct education sessions on the application and operation of this policy as required and when any changes to the Policy are implemented.

Gambling Policy Statement

Policy Statement
The Board of CHRG has formally adopted the following policy statement and will always:
• Ensure the provision and use of gambling products occurs in a safe and enjoyable manner;
• CHRG will prioritise customer welfare and sustainable gambling activities;
• CHRG will adopt responsible gambling and harm minimisation measures in accordance with the Club Gaming Code of Practice; and
• CHRG will promote the social and economic benefits of responsible gambling and the gaming industry.
