1. INTRODUCTION

Castle Hill RSL Club Ltd (CHRG) is committed to providing support for employees and their immediate families experiencing personal or work-related issues and concerns to maintain a safe and healthy working environment.

CHRG is responsible for and is committed to ensuring the health, safety and welfare of employees while they are at work. As part of this responsibility and commitment, CHRG offers its employees an Employee Assistance Program (EAP).

The provision of an EAP will assist in the early identification and referral for help for employees, including supervisors and managers, whose work performance is impaired because of personal problems.

The EAP is available to all team members and in some circumstances, remains available post-employment.

2. EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

2.1.Program

The EAP is provided by an independent, accredited counselling service selected by CHRG and access to the EAP is voluntary.

In most cases employees will self-refer, however with their agreement or at their request, a referral can be madebytheirmanager or thePeopleteam.Additional providersmaybe sourcedifthereisaspecific counsellor or program that is more suitable for the employee. Counselling services that have been sourced in the past include:

 The Hills Clinic

 Creating Change Psychology & Counselling

 Private counsellors with specific language fluencies

The EAP does not replace CHRG’s normal management and disciplinary procedures.

2.2.Services

The aim of the EAP is early identification and provision of assistance to help resolve either work-related or personal issues. Matters that may be addressed through the EAP include, but are not limited to:

 Relationships

 Grief and loss

 Stress and anxiety

 Substance abuse

 Conflict resolution

 Bullying and harassment

 Depression

2.3.Provider

Our current EAP service provider is EAP Assist. EAP Assist provide a free and independent service. The counselling provided is completely confidential. CHRG will be billed for the service, but not notified of the employee’s identity. After three (3) sessions the employee may decide to continue the counselling at their own expense.

3. BREACH OF THIS POLICY

Breaches of this policy may result in counselling and or disciplinary action, up to and including dismissal.

4. REVIEW OF THIS POLICY

This policy will be reviewed every two years to ensure it remains consistent with all relevant legislative requirements, as well as the changing nature of the company or more frequently where legislative requirements are changed or amended.

5. POLICY COMMUNICATION AND EDUCATION

This policy will be stored on CHRG’s intranet site. It will be incorporated into induction/onboarding programs and CHRG will conduct education sessions on the application and operation of this policy as required and when any changes to the policy are implemented.
