Corporate health cover.

No one understands your needs better than you do. That’s why we’ve teamed up with your company to create a range of flexible Hospital and Extras covers that make it easier to choose cover suitable for your age, circumstances or priorities in life.
What’s Hospital cover?
If you’re ever admittted to hospital for an illness or injury as a private patient, Hospital cover can help with the costs. It pays towards doctors’ fees for in-hospital admitted services, same-day and overnight hospital accommodation, and eligible ambulance services. The amount you can claim back depends on your level of cover and any excess you need to pay. To learn more, see the Hospital cover table or see our Member Guide at medibank.com.au
What’s Extras cover?
Extras cover gives you money back for everyday health services like dental, physio, optical and more.
The amount you can claim back depends on the level of cover you have (including any waiting periods and annual limits). Generally, the higher the level of cover, the higher your annual limit, and the higher percentage you can claim back.
Accidents happen.
Life can be unpredictable, which is why our Hospital covers pay towards treatment if you’re injured in an Accident, regardless of your level of hospital cover.#
Unlimited emergency ambulance. If the unexpected happens, you can rest assured knowing that whatever cover you’re on, it offers unlimited emergency ambulance, Australia-wide.^
Private room promise.
Be cared for in a private room at a Members’ Choice hospital or receive $50 per night, for up to 5 nights per stay. Conditions apply.
Members’ Choice providers.
We have arrangements with most private hospitals, day surgeries and many extras providers in Australia, so you generally get better value at these providers than if you visit a non-Members’ Choice provider. Learn more in our Member Guide at medibank.com.au
100% back on up to two dental check-ups every year.
With Extras cover you get 100% back on up to two dental check-ups every year, including x-rays, at any Members’ Choice Advantage dentist.+ That’s on top of your annual limit.
Annual limits, combined limits and lifetime limits.
Most services listed in your Extras cover have an annual limit; this is the maximum amount we pay towards that service or item per member (or in some cases per membership) per calendar year. Annual limits reset every year on 1 January. A combined limit is an annual limit that applies to a group of services or items. Lifetime limits on the other hand, apply once in your lifetime (per member) and don’t reset once used up. For annual and lifetime limits, refer to the Extras cover table.
Waiting periods.
Waiting periods may apply to hospital and extras services and items when you join us, or change your cover to include new or upgraded services or items. We don’t pay towards any services or items you receive while you’re serving a waiting period.
Waiting periods are 1 day for ambulance services, 2 months for hospital services, and 12 months for pregnancy and birth services and pre-existing conditions. The pre-existing condition waiting period is not applicable for hospital psychiatric services, rehabilitation and palliative care. See the Member Guide at medibank.com.au for detailed rules and policies.
# Excludes claims covered by third parties such as Workcover. For accidents that occur after join date. Please see Accidental Injury Benefit in the Hospital cover table for more information. ^ For emergency ambulance attendance or transportation. TAS and QLD have state schemes to cover ambulance for residents of those states. See the Hospital cover table for more information. ~ You’ll need to request a private room from the Member’s Choice hospital at least 24 hours prior to your stay; provide supporting documentation to Medibank from the hospital about this request; you must be eligible to receive benefits for the treatment you received during your stay; does not apply for same-day admissions or admissions for sleep studies, or where your doctor specifically requests a shared room for clinical reasons. + Limited to two dental check-ups on all extras annually. Maximum two bitewing x-rays per check-up, where clinically needed. Not available in all areas. A two month waiting period applies.
