CHILDREN OF EDEN, JR
Adam, Eve, Noah and the “Father” who created them deal with the headstrong, cataclysmic actions of their respective children. As generations pass, faith and loyalty are tested, but the bonds of family and love remain strong.
MACBETH
A brave Scottish general named Macbeth receives a prophecy from a trio of witches that one day he will become King of Scotland. Consumed by ambition and spurred to action by his wife, Macbeth murders King Duncan and takes the Scottish throne for himself. He is then wracked with guilt and paranoia.
MEAN GIRLS, JR
Cady Heron may have grown up on an African savanna, but nothing prepared her for the wild and vicious ways of her strange new home: suburban Illinois. How will this naïve newbie rise to the top of the popularity pecking order? By taking on The Plastics, a trio of lionized frenemies led by the charming but ruthless Regina George. Cady and her friends devise a “Revenge Party” to end Regina’s reign with Cady going undercover as an aspiring Plastic. When the lines between the real Cady and her Plastic self get blurred, she must find her way back to herself and her true friends.
SEASON OF LIGHT: A WINTER FAIRY TALE
Magda is just an ordinary peasant girl chosen to play the Sister of the Sun for her village’s ceremony celebrating the Winter Solstice. But when the days keep growing shorter, Magda is blamed and exiled. In the forest, she meets an odd group of players who join her in her quest to bring back light to the world by going to the source: the real Sister of the Sun. What is Magda willing to sacrifice to save the world from darkness?

Kim Fiola Scholarship
Kim Fiola was a young actress involved with CTC. In her memory, her family created this annual merit-based scholarship for an SOTT student who exemplifies talent, passion and dedication to the art of theatre. Scholarship recipients must be in 8th-11th grade, and they receive a full scholarship for 20 weeks of classes for next year.
Marcus P Sherman Award Nominations
Mr. Marcus Sherman was a teaching artist at Children’s Theatre of Charlotte who was best known for his unbridled energy, enthusiasm and dedication. In his memory, Children’s Theatre family and friends created a merit scholarship for a student who exemplifies talent and dedication to the art of theatre specifically around the OnStage process of auditions, casting, rehearsals and performance weekend. These students are known for their passion, dedication, and leadership skills.
