Meet the Adult Cast
Brandon J. Johns is so excited to celebrate the holiday season here at Children’s Theatre of Charlotte! Brandon is an actor, music director, and educator with 15+ years of professional experience. He was last seen as “the man under the stage” (CAT IN THE HAT). Other roles at Children’s Theatre of Charlotte include Elephant (ELEPHANT AND PIGGIE’S WE ARE IN A PLAY”!, Oliver Warbucks (ANNIE), and Big Bad Wolf (SHREK THE MUSICAL). Brandon is also a musician, arranger, and composer. Some of his original music and arrangements have been featured at Firehouse Theatre in Richmond, Virginia and the Six Flags theme park, King’s Dominion. You can also hear some of his work in Children’s Theatre of Charlotte’s tour of TOPSY-TURVY CINDERELLA. Brandon sends endless thanks to his mother and brother for their constant support and love. Richard Edward III (BFA Illinois) made his debut last season with Children’s Theatre of Charlotte in SCHOOL OF ROCK, and this year he is thrilled to return as Coach Comet and Yukon Cornelius (RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED REINDEER). Richard recently appeared as Lucius (TITUS ANDRONICUS) with South Carolina Shakespeare Company. Catch him later this season at Children’s Theatre of Charlotte in THE VERY HUNGRY CATERPILLAR SHOW and FROZEN THE MUSICAL. Richard has built a dynamic career spanning classical drama to contemporary family theatre. As an advocate for dyslexia awareness, he is passionate about using storytelling to empower people to see their unique strengths as superpowers. Based in Columbia, South Carolina, he lives with his wife and two daughters.
John DeMicco is thrilled to return to Children’s Theatre of Charlotte having appeared as Tumnus (NARNIA THE MUSICAL) and Reverend Hopkins (THE BEST CHRISTMAS PAGEANT EVER: THE MUSICAL). He has recently been seen as Grandpa Joe (CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY) at Matthews Playhouse and Captain Hook/Thénardier (VILLAINS) in Rock Hill. He has appeared Off-Broadway, Off-Off-Broadway, regionally, and on national tours. On film, he can be seen in Alien Weekend and Moving Valentine on streaming channels. Vance Riley is thrilled to be a part of RUDOLPH THE RED- NOSED REINDEER as it is his favorite Christmas story of all time and has been since he was little. He has recently performed one other time with Children’s Theatre Charlotte in the role of Frelgy/Joshie (DIARY OF A WIMPY KID THE MUSICAL). He can’t wait for you to see him bring Hermy, whom he sees as a reflection of himself, to life on stage. When Vance isn’t acting, he works as a preschool music teacher for the Mr. Music Man Company and has a passion for teaching kids and making them smile. Vance would sincerely like to thank all his friends and family for giving him a reason to do what he does and supporting him no matter what. He loves you all so much.
Carlos Nieto is thrilled to be making his debut this season at Children’s Theatre of Charlotte. Recent credits include Mr. Mushnik (LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS) at Little Theatre of Winston-Salem, Tiny Tom (URINETOWN) at Spring Theater, and Mrs. Taylor/Roy (BAT BOY) at Camel City Playhouse. Other favorite roles include Tom Collins (RENT) at May River Theater, Che (EVITA) at South of Broadway Theater, and Agatha Trunchbull (MATILDA) at Midtown Productions). Carlos is also an accomplished wig and costume designer, having designed for productions such as PETER AND THE STARCATCHER and EVITA. Carlos is a proud Venezuelan and proud to represent both cultures in the performing arts. He would like to thank his husband David and his family for all their love and support.
Alex Manley is a native of Mount Holly who is excited about his debut at Children’s Theatre of Charlotte! Graduating from Western Carolina University in 2024 with his degree in acting, he has been eager to take the stage again. You may have seen him on stage at Belmont Abbey College this past fall performing as John Dickinson (1776). His other roles include Orgon (TARTUFFE), Colonel Mustard (CLUE), John James Audubon (THE AMERICAN WOODSMAN), and Sir Danvers (JEKYLL & HYDE). Allison Snow Rhinehardt is thrilled to be returning to Children’s Theatre of Charlotte for RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED REINDEER. Previous credits at Children’s Theatre of Charlotte include LAST STOP ON MARKET STREET, MADAGASCAR: A MUSICAL ADVENTURE, and portraying the role of Helen Armstrong for 5 seasons in THE BEST CHRISTMAS PAGEANT EVER: THE MUSICAL. Around Charlotte, Allison has performed in MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS, FUN HOME, EVERYBODY’S TALKING ABOUT JAMIE, DIANA, THE MUSICAL RAGTIME, AND SWEENEY TODD. Allison hopes you enjoy the reimagining of a holiday classic.
Ericka Ross is excited to be part of the 2025-26 season at Children’s Theatre of Charlotte where she has performed for over 10 years. Ericka recently graced different stages of Charlotte in August Wilson’s JOE TURNER’S COME AND GONE, SCHOOL OF ROCK and I AM QUEEN CHARLOTTE. She also had the opportunity to perform in Nashville, TN in I AM QUEEN NASHVILLE. Ericka gives all credit for her gifts to God and gratitude for the support from family and friends.

Tilly McDaniel is ecstatic to be playing Rudolph in her second Mainstage show with Children’s Theatre. Tilly is a senior at Gaston Day school and hopes to go to college for musical theater in the fall of 2026. You may recognize her from Children’s Theatre of Charlotte’s production of THE BEST CHRISTMAS PAGEANT EVER: THE MUSICAL as Beth, or in the SummerStage production of LES MISÉRABLES. Tilly was a Top Six Best Actress in the 2024 Blumey Awards for her role as Lucy in YOU’RE A GOOD MAN CHARLIE BROWN. She would like to thank her friends, parents, cast and crew for supporting her through this next level educational experience. She would like to give a special thanks to her mom for making it possible to take part in this show.
Julia Straley is honored to be returning to the Mainstage at Children’s Theatre of Charlotte! She previously played in THE BEST CHRISTMAS PAGEANT EVER: THE MUSICAL and SCHOOL OF ROCK THE MUSICAL at Children’s Theatre of Charlotte. Julia is an 11th grade musical theatre major at Northwest School of the Arts and a member of Children’s Theatre of Charlotte’s Conservatory Program. Other recent stage credits included: FOOTLOOSE at Children’s Theatre’s of Charlotte’s Onstage program and HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING at Northwest School of the Arts. Beckett Dumas is thrilled to be returning to Children’s Theatre of Charlotte Mainstage for his third time. His previous credits include THE BEST CHRISTMAS PAGEANT EVER: THE MUSICAL(Children’s Theatre of Charlotte, ’22 + ’23), BEETLEJUICE JR.(Children’s Theatre of Charlotte), ALICE BY HEART (Theatre Charlotte), and HADESTOWN:TEEN EDITION (Lanti Performing Arts). Beckett is a current sophomore at Northwest School of the Arts, where he studies Musical Theatre. He hopes to one day pursue a BFA in Musical Theatre and move to New York City! In his spare time, Beckett enjoys spending time with friends and family, attending shows, playing guitar, and taking dance classes. Clara Major is thrilled to be returning to Children’s Theatre of Charlotte where she has enjoyed working with the fun and talented cast and crew of RUDOLPH. Clara has been involved in acting for seven years and hopes to continue for many more. Some of her favorite roles have been Elsa in FROZEN at Holy Trinity Catholic Middle School, Buddy the Elf in ELF JR. at Ballantyne Arts Center, and Summer in SCHOOL OF ROCK at Children’s Theatre of Charlotte. Clara is grateful to all of her directors, teachers, and acting coaches throughout the years and especially wants to thank the directors and stage managers at Children’s Theatre of Charlotte. Clara is also so thankful to her family for their love, support, and transportation over the years!
Nora Yesowitch is thrilled to perform in her fourth Mainstage production at Children’s Theatre of Charlotte. She has previously appeared as both Alice and Ivy in THE BEST CHRISTMAS PAGEANT EVER: THE MUSICAL and as Pepper in ANNIE. Two of her favorite recent roles have been Rusty in FOOTLOOSE as part of OnStage with Children’s Theatre of Charlotte and Virtue in the Southeastern Summer Theatre Institute’s production of ANYTHING GOES. Nora is a junior at Northwest School of the Arts and enjoys going for walks, reading, and spending time with friends. Watts Williams is thrilled to be returning to the Children’s Theatre of Charlotte stage! She is in 9th grade at Charlotte Latin School. Prior to this show, Watts played Cowgirl Bonnie in FOOTLOOSE:YOUTH EDITION, Lucy in NARNIA THE MUSICAL, and Kate in ANNIE, all here at Children’s Theatre of Charlotte. She previously held the roles of Teen Fiona in SHREK THE MUSICAL, Young Kangaroo in SEUSICAL, and Amanda Thripp in MATILDA at Northwest School of the Arts. She also has attended Musical Theatre Intensives for the past three years in New York at Broadway Artist Alliance. Watts would like to thank the whole cast, crew, and production team for supporting each other throughout rehearsal and performances. Lastly, she wants to thank her friends and family for the love and joy they bring into her life.
Charlie Fenstermacher is elated to join Children’s Theatre of Charlotte for his second Mainstage show! This is Charlie’s fifth show at the Children’s Theatre and he is also a conservatory student. Charlie is a ninth grader at Myers Park High School who hopes to continue his theatre career. Recent credits include FINDING NEMO, JR. at Theatre Charlotte this summer, FOOTLOOSE: YOUTH EDITION and THE BEST CHRISTMAS PAGEANT EVER: THE MUSICAL both at the Children’s Theatre this spring and last winter respectively. Charlie wants to give a big thank you to his family, cast mates, and creative and tech directors!
Alexandria Wilson is excited to make her Children’s Theatre of Charlotte Mainstage debut with RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED REINDEER. Prior to this experience, Alex has participated MEAN GIRLS JR. and GUYS AND DOLLS with the Children’s Theatre of Charlotte’s OnStage program. Bailey Fischer is so excited to return to Children’s Theatre of Charlotte’s Mainstage! Some of Bailey’s favorite roles include Claude in THE BEST CHRISTMAS PAGEANT EVER: THE MUSICAL with Children’s Theatre of Charlotte, Sky in BEETLUICE, JR with Connie Company, and Small Alison in FUN HOME with Davidson Community Players. Bailey has also loved performing in Camp JuMP productions for the past 6 summers. Bailey would like to thank the entire cast and crew for such a fun opportunity!
Luke Tsurumaki is grateful to help create this wonderful world of reindeer and elves on stage this Christmas. Past credits at Children’s Theatre of Charlotte include DR. SEUSS’S THE CAT IN THE HAT (Thing 1) and the last two seasons of THE BEST CHRISTMAS PAGEANT EVER: THE MUSICAL (Teddy), in addition to MEAN GIRLS, Jr and GUYS AND DOLLS, Jr. through the School of Theatre Training. Matthew Primm (Music Director) is thrilled to be making his mainstage debut at Children’s Theatre of Charlotte with this production of RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED REINDEER. He has been a Teaching Artist at Children’s Theatre of Charlotte since 2019 and previous OnStage music direction credits in the School of Theatre include GUYS AND DOLLS JR, BYE BYE BIRDIE, and 42ND STREET. Matt holds degrees in music from UNC Charlotte and the Hartt School in Connecticut, and is the director of orchestras at Northwest School of the Arts in Charlotte. In addition to his work as a music director and educator, Matt is a freelance violist and performs with the Charlotte Strings Collective. Anita Tripathi (Scenic Designer) is a Charlotte based Scene Designer. Professional design credits include: Children’s Theatre of Charlotte, The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey (LORT B), Greenbrier Valley Theatre, Virginia Stage Company (LORT D, Resident Scene Designer), and PlayMakers Repertory Company (LORT D). Anita has also worked regionally as both a Properties Designer and Scenic Charge and has assisted Tony Award winning designer David Gallo on several productions. Anita is currently the Associate Professor for Design and Technology at Davidson College. She has taught students scene design, lighting design, scene painting, stage properties, model making, and portfolio/resume development. Her work has been featured as a finalist at the World Stage Design Exhibition in Cardiff and she received a Fellowship from the United States Institute for Theatre Technology to support her research in India. She holds an M.F.A. in Scene Design from the University of South Carolina and is a proud member of United Scenic Artists Local 829.
David M. Fillmore, Jr. (Lighting Designer) is Professor of Lighting Design at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Designing mostly for dance and theatre, Fillmore’s regional design credits include American Stage (FL), Tuacahn Outdoor Amphitheatre (UT), North Carolina Museum of Art, The Tennessee Repertory Theatre (TN), Cartage Theatre (NC), Imagination Stage (MD/Washington), The Straw Hat Players (MN), Movement Migration (NC), and The Hudson Theatre Works (NJ/ New York). Highlights include the world premieres of MY WAY (2000), THE CHRISTMAS DOLL (2007), 101 DALMATIANS (2014/tour), ELLA’S BIG CHANCE (2015), THE BEST CHRISTMAS PAGEANT EVER – THE MUSICAL (2016), ALPHONSE MUCHA: ART NOUVEAU VISIONARY (2021), MOVEMENT IN RESILIENCE (2025), in New York City, and the international debuts of THE LARAMIE PROJECT (2006), in Tours, France and LULLABY –THE STORIES WE TELL (2018), in Pietrasanta, Italy. Kahei Shum McRae (Costume Designer) is so excited to be back at Children’s Theatre of Charlotte to help Rudolph take flight this holiday season! Kahei holds a MFA in Costume Design and BFA in Production Design in Filmmaking from UNCSA. Benjamin G. Stickels (Sound Designer) is excited to be telling another story at one of his favorite places with some of his favorite people! A sound designer, audio engineer, consultant, and educator, he is a native of Michigan, and serves as Senior Lecturer in Sound Design & Technology with the Production Arts and Operations department at UNC Charlotte. Recent designs at Children’s Theatre of Charlotte include sound for THE INVISIBLE BOY and DIARY OF A WIMPY KID: THE MUSICAL, as well as last year’s OnStage productions of AS YOU LIKE IT and ONCE UPON A TIME AT SIMPLEBROOKE, and more than 20 others. Other recent designs include sound for INTIMATE APPAREL, SWEAT, and PIPPIN for UNC Charlotte. He has also designed extensively for the Texas Shakespeare Festival (more than 25 productions) and Unicorn Theatre in Kansas City. His work has also been heard at the University of Missouri – Kansas City, where he received the Master of Fine Arts in Sound Design; and Western Michigan University, where he received his Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Design and Production. He holds professional memberships in the Theatrical Sound Designers and Composers Association and the United States Institute for Theatre Technology, and regularly presents at the annual Southeastern Theatre Conference.
