Don’t Let Financial Concerns Stop You Studying

We’ll work with you to find out what support you may be entitled to and to help you access any funding available.

Here are just some of the options available to help you fund your education.

Fee Waivers

Fee waivers may be available for students aged 19+ who are studying their first government-designated full level 2 or level 3 qualification, or an entry level or level 1 course with the intention of progressing to level 2.

Unemployed and low wage earners

You may be eligible for fee waivers on level 2 and below courses if you are either unemployed and in receipt of certain benefits, or you earn less than £25,000 annual gross salary.

National Skills Offer

The National Skills Offer is intended to help adults gain the skills needed to improve their job prospects. Adults in England have the chance to access a first level 3 qualification for free. This offer is also available to adults in England who earn less than £25,000 annually or who are unemployed, regardless of their prior qualification level.

Advanced Learner Loan for level 3 courses and higher

An Advanced Learner Loan can cover the cost of course fees and you don’t need to start repayments when your income is over a certain amount (the ‘threshold’ amount).

University-Level

If you are applying for a University-Level course, for example a foundation degree or top-up degree, then you can apply for a loan via Student Finance England.
