T Levels
T Levels, or Technical Levels, help students develop practical skills in specific vocational areas. Employers often use T Level placements to nurture talent, with the option to hire students full-time or as apprentices.

THE NEXT LEVEL QUALIFICATION THAT’S BUILT BY BUSINESSES
T Levels, also known as Technical Levels, are a new type of qualification introduced in England to offer students a pathway towards developing practical skills and knowledge in specific vocational areas.
Created in collaboration with employers, T Levels help students develop essential employability skills that will contribute to the future workforce.
T Levels bridge the gap between academic education and industry needs by providing a comprehensive two-year programme that combines classroom learning with significant industry experience.
Many employers choose to use T Level placement student to:
Develop new talent with the potential of hiring them full-time or apprentices in the future.
Improve the team’s leadership skills by having them act as mentors or line managers for young students.
Tapping into students’ innovative perspectives to introduce new ideas.
T Level industry placements are a free government scheme - you don’t need to pay to take on a T Level student for a placement.
There may be certain business costs, like time invested in planning, training and supervising, and you can choose to pay the student if you wish.

DESIGNED TO MEET YOUR NEEDS AS AN EMPLOYER THROUGH VOCATIONAL TRAINING
Apprenticeships are a form of work-based training that integrates on-the-job learning with classroom education. They provide individuals with the opportunity to acquire practical skills, knowledge, and experience in a particular trade or profession.
We offer apprenticeships in a wide range of industries, including construction, healthcare, information technology, manufacturing, and more.
During an apprenticeship, individuals work alongside professional experts, known as mentors or supervisors, who guide and train them in different aspects of the trade. This hands-on experience helps apprentices to develop practical skills while earning a wage. Alongside the on-the-job training, apprentices also participate in formal classes or workshops to learn the theoretical aspects of their field.
Apprenticeships offer a valuable route for individuals to join the workforce, earn industry-recognised qualifications, and build a strong foundation for their careers.
The cost of an apprenticeship will vary depending on your business size, the type of apprenticeship and the age of your apprentice.
FUNDING
Every business can be placed into one of three funding models:
LEVY PAYER
If your annual payroll is £3 million or more you will pay into the apprenticeship levy which can be used to fully fund an apprenticeship.
CO-FUNDED
If your annual payroll is less than £3 million or you overspend your levy you will pay up to 5% towards the cost of an apprenticeship and the government will pay 95%.
FULLY FUNDED
If you employ fewer than 50 staff and your apprentice is aged 16-18 or 19-24 with an EHC plan you will not need to pay towards the cost of an apprenticeship.
If your apprentice is aged 16-18 or 19-24 with an EHC plan you will be eligible for a £1,000 government incentive.

The Sussex and Surrey Institute of Technology is a collaboration between education providers in the region, led by Chichester College Group. We work together to provide higher level technical education and training that gives you the skills employers are looking for.
NEW HUB OPENING AUTUMN 2025
We offer courses and apprenticeships in engineering and manufacturing, digital and construction, and leadership and management, with clear pathways to progression to the technical career you want. It is also supported by several industry partners, including Roche Diagnostics, Gatwick Airport, Southern Water, Wates Group, Irwin Mitchell, Pearson, Coast to Capital, NatWest and Gatwick Diamond Business.
The Hub of the Sussex & Surrey Institute of Technology will be based on the campus of Crawley College. The new centre will provide high-quality learning environments housing specialist construction, engineering and digital ‘Learning Factories’, designed to be inclusive for all students attending the new institution. Work began on the new building in July 2024. It will open its doors in autumn 2025.

Our lecturers have a diverse range of both educational and industry led experience to help students achieve their career objectives in fitness, personal training, sports development and more.
The content of the higher education qualification has been developed in consultation with employers, professional bodies, academics and Universities to ensure that it supports students to positive progression routes.
The VRQ qualifications equip students with the knowledge, understanding and skills that underpin the sport and exercise science sector, preparing them for future careers.
VENUE HIRE
Our campuses have a variety of fully equipped meeting rooms and conference facilities available to hire for meetings, conferencing, and events. We can offer various rooms and areas for your event, all of which are fully licensed and can accommodate meetings and events from five to 250 people.
Brighton MET College
Pelham Campus - Located in the North Laine, our central Brighton Campus is just minutes from the lively centre of Brighton. We have an outdoor plaza that is open to the public and can be hired for events, a range of hair and beauty salons ideal for professional training as well as classrooms and IT suites tailored or creative and digital specialisms. Whether you need space for training, company meetings or presentations, we can accommodate your needs.
Brinsbury College
Brinsbury is ideal for hosting your next corporate event in a professional and unique countryside setting. Situated within 570 acres of stunning West Sussex countryside, it offers a variety of spaces equipped with modern IT facilities.
The venues can host conferences, smaller meetings, or training seminars with scenic views of Brinsbury’s beautiful grounds. The college is accessible by car, taxi and public transport from train stations in Pulborough or Billinghurst.
Chichester College
Chichester campus is located in the heart of the city, only a short walk from the town centre and Chichester train and bus stations. We can offer various rooms and spaces for your event, all of which are fully licensed and can accommodate conferences, board meetings, presentations, training and more.
Crawley College
Located in Crawley town centre, the campus offers classrooms, IT rooms and conference suites of various sizes to suit your needs. You will benefit from WiFi access, excellent transport links and a variety of catering options to ensure that your event is a complete success.
With capacity for 80 seated delegates and 100 for a standing function, the Corporate Suite is the ideal choice. For smaller meeting and training sessions, the STEM classroom is accommodating.
Crawley College also offers a range of immersive spaces for hire, designed to enhance events with interactive presentations and provide a more engaging experience for attendees.
Haywards Heath College
Haywards Heath College is ideally located in Mid Sussex within a five-minutes’ walk from the train station, a great choice for easy public transport access.
The college opened its doors in 2020 and is now a new and vibrant campus with state-of-the-art facilities including a theatre, sports hall, modern classrooms and a cafe which overlooks the green space.
Worthing College
Our modern and well-equipped facilities are available for corporate or private hire, included within the college and in our Sanditon Conference Centre.
Worthing College is located in a large seaside town in West Sussex, known for its award-winning beaches and pier, with easy access to the stunning landscape of the South Downs. The college is just 10 miles from Brighton and 18 miles from Chichester. As it is located just off the A24 and the A27, travelling to our 18-acre parkland campus is easy.
Northbrook College
Broadwater Campus
Our Broadwater Campus is conveniently located near Worthing town centre and a 10-minute walk from the train station. It features our salons and beauty training facilities, as well as a spacious multi-purpose studio which is suitable for dance classes, PT sessions , or Pilates and yoga groups. Available to hire until January 2025.
Shoreham Airport Campus
Situated at Brighton City Airport, our Shoreham Campus features spacious hangar workshops and a modern electric vehicle workshop equipped with high-tech diagnostic equipment. All spaces are available for hire, along with classrooms, making Shoreham an excellent training venue for the aviation and motor vehicle industries.
West Durrington Campus
West Durrington Campus is home to some of the best college music studios in the country. All our available to hire, including cutting-edge recording studios, live-room suites, DJ rooms and rehearsal spaces, all fitted with industry-standard equipment. The campus also features a purpose-built 160-seat theatre, dance studios and classroom. It is conveniently located just a 10-minutes’ walk from Goring-by-Sea station, or a five-minute train journey from central Worthing.
