LÜRSSEN YACHTS CELEBRATES TWO SUMMER LAUNCHES
During the Summer of 2024, Lürssen Yachts celebrated the delivery of two stunning superyachts - the 122m ‘Kismet’ and the 82m ‘Haven’ ...
The German yacht builder Lürssen has earned a leading international reputation as the specialist for exclusive, bespoke yachts of outstanding craftsmanship and engineering mastery - ranging in size from 60m to over 200m. At Lürssen, the journey of creating a custombuilt yacht begins with the client’s vision. Each project sets out to transform a potential Owner’s dream into
a tangible masterpiece. Clients are involved in every step of the process, from the initial conceptualisation to the selection of designs proposed by leading international yacht designers. A leader in both quality and performance, the summer of 2024 saw two superb examples of Lürssen craftsmanship hit the water!
M/Y Kismet
KISMET - REDEFINING LUXURY AND INNOVATION ON THE HIGH SEAS
Lürssen proudly announced the successful delivery of the 122m yacht KISMET on 7 May 2024.
KISMET was built for an expert customer who had already commissioned several yachts from Lürssen. Designed by Nuvolari-Lenard, KISMET boasts harmonious proportions, with her 122-metre length (including the bowsprit) and 17.80-metre beam, showcasing exceptional volume without compromising her sleek and elegant lines. The majestic mast and the bow figure, resembling a leaping jaguar, add a distinctive touch of grandeur to her profile.
For the interior, the Owner once again called upon the design studio Reymond Langton Design, which has created another interior of unparalleled beauty and sophistication, tailored to reflect the Owner’s unique lifestyle. Highlights include a two-level open-plan entrance area adorned with sweeping video walls, a Nemo cinema on the lower deck featuring a 150inch television and an underwater seating area, and a luxurious 7-star wellness area, among other exquisite features.
KISMET marks the third collaboration between Lürssen, the client and long-time Owner’s representatives Kyle and Gerry Fultz.
Peter Lürßen comments: “The Owner’s brief was challenging. However, we believe that with our technical expertise, we have fulfilled the Owner’s wish and vision for a yacht that will still be timeless and ahead of its time for many years to come. Our thanks go to the excellent design and communication with the designers Nuvolari-Lenard and Reymond Langton and the Lürssen project team. Special thanks go to the competent and experienced Owner’s team Kyle and Gerry Fultz.”
KISMET is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and technical systems characteristic of all Lürssen yachts and is highlighted by a cutting-edge hybrid power train combined with a full-electric mode that will position KISMET among the most powerful superyachts in the world. Other innovative features such as a heat recovery system in the generators for pool water heating, and dynamic positioning for electronic anchoring in sensitive and remote areas, underscore Lürssen’s commitment to sustainability and safety.
As KISMET embarks on her maiden voyage, she symbolises the epitome of luxury, craftsmanship, and technological innovation, reaffirming Lürssen’s position as a leader in the world of superyachts.
In June 2024, Lürssen proudly announced the successful delivery of its second new build in as many months. HAVEN (known during construction as Project CALI), departed on 17 June to embark on her maiden voyage.
The concept and exterior design of HAVEN were developed in-house at Lürssen by Jim Robert Sluijter. HAVEN features a low profile with long, elegant, feminine lines that sweep from bow to stern, lending her a touch of majestic athleticism. Key to her design are sinuous concave patterns that run across her superstructure, reflecting the movement of waves when the sun is in the right position.
Jim Robert Sluijter, Lead Exterior Designer at Lürssen, comments: “The Owner fell in love with the first outline of the project, and as a result, HAVEN has barely changed from the original sketch. HAVEN feels very different from many other yachts; she has a practical and functional design that places great emphasis on outdoor living. Thanks to an interplay of light and glazing, all interior spaces are well connected with the outdoors.”
Her sleek exterior is balanced by a contemporary interior, created by the British studio RWD. The choice of materials is natural and pure, while the design itself features asymmetrical shapes and a dynamic layout.
“Our team went on a journey with the Owners and their family to create a distinct design vocabulary, with subtly crafted details that create a playful and timeless interior,” says Mattia Mazzucchi, Head of Interiors at RWD. “Through the combination of curated pieces and custom designs, every inch of HAVEN will be beautiful, personal, and functional. Striking artworks draw the eye with their vibrancy around every corner. Bold, confident, fun, and energetic, where the joy of colour takes centre stage.”
HAVEN has a length overall (LOA) of 82 metres and a beam of 12.5 metres, placing her among the world’s largest tri-deck superyachts afloat today. She was built for an experienced Owner with an active lifestyle and a clear vision for their vessel: generous outdoor space, a family-oriented layout, and storage for water toys and diving gear. Highlights include a 300-square-metre sun deck with a 2.5-metre ceiling height and moveable windbreak panels, and a generous beach club with single-step sea terraces and a seamless connection to the sea.

BRAND-NEW 53M SUPERYACHT MAIA AVAILABLE FOR LUXURY YACHT CHARTER IN 2025
The design and development of a new yacht is an exciting process for owners and builders, with many important milestones along the way. Last month 53m superyacht MAIA reached her final milestone; her launch from the Radez shipyard in Croatia, marking the culmination of years of passionate dedication from owner Filip Jakir who has worked closely with the whole construction team
Inspiration for the motor yacht MAIA comes from Filip’s lifelong appreciation for sailing and deep respect for traditional yacht design. As she will be hosting luxury charter guests she must also compete with technically advanced yachts from around the world. The result is a balance between timeless elegance and modern comforts and amenities – a yacht that will turn heads in any port. Filip had this to say:
“Growing up on wooden ships and finishing my education at a maritime academy, I developed a love for the traditional lines and craftsmanship of classic yachts. On board MAIA, guests will experience the beauty and nostalgia of a classic yacht while having all the luxuries and conveniences of a modern yacht including state-ofthe-art entertainment, water toys, spacious decks and exceptional service.”
Her heritage green hull – elongated at the bow and stern, soft-white and wood-panelled superstructure and teak decking are crowned by a quintessential
yellow and black funnel. The elegantly curved deck levels complement the continuous rows of arched windows which hark back to a bygone yachting era. Contemporary luxuries on the sun deck include a circular jacuzzi surrounded by sun pads, a sit-up bar and plush sofas which can be sheltered using soft sail shades.
The main deck aft is set up to offer wonderful al fresco dining experiences and a big surprise! The foldout transom creates a fabulous beach terrace which can be further extended with an expansive modular floating dock. Guests will love the exclusive water’s edge playground where the jet skis and other water toys can dock, there is a trampoline and a combination of seating and sunbathing arrangements. A truly private floating island!
Once inside, the yacht has been expertly configured for up to twelve charter guests and features plenty of light and convivial entertainment areas plus six elegantly appointed private staterooms all with bespoke ensuite bathrooms. The main deck master stateroom is exceptionally well-appointed and is a haven for primary charter guests secluded from the other accommodation on the lower deck.
Filip and his dedicated crew have been creating unforgettable charters for over ten years on board his luxury 31m gulet TAJNA MORA. With Filip now taking the helm of motor yacht MAIA, he and his ten crew members will deliver the same excellent service on charters around the Mediterranean from summer 2025. He commented:
“We all have a philosophy of going above and beyond and we work well together – guests feel this immediately. Many of our guests step aboard as clients and leave as friends – to me, this says it all.”
MAIA’s home port of Split in Croatia makes an ideal starting point for luxury yacht charters along the Adriatic Coast and boarding at the beautiful main port is a unique experience. Itineraries can include many of Croatia’s most stunning towns and villages as well as anchorages in quiet and secluded coves. Here guests can dive into the crystal-clear water by day, dine al fresco in complete privacy in the evening and rest at night with no sound but the gentle lapping of the sea against the boat.
Filip is delighted to show guests his beloved Croatia, but also has extensive experience elsewhere in the Mediterranean and Caribbean.
“Many guests arrive knowing very little about Croatia and it is a true joy to show them the beauty, history and even gastronomy of my home country. Simply pointing them to the night sky and seeing the look on their faces when they see millions of stars is priceless.”
CharterWorld and our partner in Croatia, Otium Yachts are delighted to be representing superyacht MAIA. Bookings are now being accepted from summer 2025 with charter rates from €130,000 per week plus expenses.

The Baths on Virgin Gorda: Recommended by Becky, The Moorings UK Sales Team:
“In the BVI’s my favourite place was the Baths on Virgin Gorda: We anchored off the beach and swam ashore and walked through the maze of boulders and caverns which lead to a natural swimming pool inside one of the caves, we went early in the morning to avoid the crowds of tourists.”
Anegada’s Pristine Shores: Unlike the volcanic origin of other islands, Anegada is a coral atoll with long, sandy beaches and a laid-back atmosphere. Relax on the beach, snorkel the vibrant reefs, or enjoy the island’s famous lobster.
Jost Van Dyke’s Beachside Vibe: This lively island is known for its relaxed beach bars and welcoming vibe. Join in the fun at the famous Soggy Dollar Bar, or simply unwind on White Bay Beach and take in the views.
CREATE YOUR IDEAL ITINERARY
Every day in the BVI offers a new adventure. From snorkelling at remote coral reefs to enjoying a beachside barbecue, your journey can be crafted to suit your preferences. LUXURY SAILING ON THE MODERN CLASSIC YACHT ‘CHRONOS’
Enjoy luxury sunshine sailing with modern classic Chronos as she spends her summers in the Mediterranean and winters in the Caribbean.
The luxury sailing yacht Chronos was built and registered in Bodrum, Turkey but spends her days sailing the Mediterranean and Caribbean. Chronos was purpose-built as a charter vessel in 2013, with a twomasted, 54m staysail ketch rig.
Designed by Klaus Röder who based his design on a classic yacht whilst keeping up with the modern-day ketch; Chronos has been built for performance sailing and guest comfort.
Built with luxury in mind, the outline on deck is of teak and mahogany with plenty of space to sunbath, read a book and enjoy the views. All the sails are electronically retractable, so no need to learn the ropes here. (The crew are, however, more than happy for
guests to get involved with the operating and sailing of Chronos as much as they would like!)
An admiralty ladder provides the perfect place to jump off into the warm Caribbean waters, have a swim and climb back aboard with ease. Chronos also offers her guests the options of using her water skiing, wakeboard, tube riding, kneeboard, banana boat, kayak and snorkelling & dive equipment and even a sail dinghy (QubaRS)
The deckhouse offers its very own small bar whilst below decks offers still more space to relax with a saloon with a plasma TV! Her private cabins, offering both double and single beds, all have air-conditioning and en-suite bathrooms.
The professional crew consists of the Skipper, first mate, mechanic, bosun, cook and 4 stewards, so you will most certainly be looked after during your time aboard Chronos.
Sailing holidays on board Chronos are ones of luxury, style and comfort while exploring sunshine destinations and unforgettable locations. A purpose built charter vessel, Chronos was designed with the elegant sailing lines of a traditional classic boat but has been paired with all the comforts and luxuries of a modern yacht. Along with her sister yachts, Rhea and Kairos, Chronos spends her year sailing from the Caribbean to the Mediterranean and all the fascinating archipelago’s in between.
AUTHENTIC SAILING FUN
Sailing with Chronos is certainly one of comfort and relaxation. Think of a boutique, intimate classic sailing experience where nothing is too much trouble. Her dedicated and professional crew are highly trained and well-versed in a smooth sailing operation.
She has an impressive sail area and her rig is electronically operated with retractable sails so there is no need to “learn the ropes” here! That being said, there are still traditional pin and tails if guests want to have a taste of authentic sailing. Her crew are always on-hand and happy to discuss the sailing operations with guests.
Although there is less focus on the “handson” sailing of Chronos, the Captain and crew offer interesting sailing talks and information briefs for guests during the voyage. Learn about the history of the boat, its sailing terms and even take a tour of the engine room if you fancy! Understanding these elegant classic vessels and feeling their power with the wind is truly an unforgettable experience.
SLEEPING AND RELAXATION
Every space on Chronos is considered with the guests at the forefront of all design. From the spacious saloon, private ensuite cabins clad in tropical wood to the sweeping open decks with plenty of sun lounging spaces – the boat is certainly oozing 5* luxury. The generously proportioned cabins all have plenty of luggage storage, full size domestic showers and air conditioning units. Versatile beds mean that cabins can be made from a comfy double to a sharing twin and even a three bed family cabin as needed. All bedding, towels and a robe per person are included in the ticket price. Each cabin is named by the winds of the sea and this matches the allocated swim towel set for guests, so if you leave it drying on deck, a member of crew will deliver it back to your cabin when dry.
Daily cabin service is also part of the offering. A member of the crew will make your bed and freshen up your bathroom every day and if you want a towel change or full cabin clean, just leave the relevant sign on the cabin door!
EATING AND ENTERTAINMENT
Although the day is punctuated by meal times, you certainly don’t feel like you’re running on a schedule. The relaxed nature of both the boat and the crew give a perfect balance.
Depending on the voyage location, the daily routine can change and is flexible depending on the wishes of the group. Perhaps sit back and relax as the crew set the sails to another remote anchorage to enjoy a freshly cooked lunch and the on-board water toys! Or spend the morning swimming in a secluded bay or exploring an ancient port city before setting the sails to a new location.
Start the day with a rich buffet style breakfast, on to a light 2-course lunch at noon, coffee, tea and cake in the afternoon. Finish the day with a freshly cooked 3-course dinner aboard and on the final night of the voyage, enjoy an authentic Captains dinner. For every voyage on Chronos, guests enjoy a meal ashore at their own expense to really immerse themselves in to the
local culture and cuisine. Guests tend to go off in their own groups but sometimes the crew can join in if guests are unsure of the best spots!
Depending on the mood of the group, the crew can arrange some light hearted entertainment too – from local musicians over dinner to a friendly on-board music quiz (which is always amusing with international guests!) or even a wine tasting session (at an extra cost).
WATER-TOYS
For those water lovers with a sense of adventure, Chronos has a multitude of water-sport activities and equipment available for guests. Stand-up paddle0boards and adult-size snorkelling equipment is free for guests to use. Water-skiing, wakeboarding, banana boat and tube riding are all chargeable once on board.
Chronos offers this at a moderate price and suggests an average of 10% of the voyage price to serve as a guide for consumption. The onboard currency is Euros and guests can open an on-board account which can be paid at the end of your voyage.

PRINCESS X95 VISTA A YACHT DESIGNED AROUND LIGHT AND SPACE
The X95 Vista takes the striking design language of the X Class range to new heights. A sculpted single-piece window stretches almost the full length of the hull, accentuating the long flowing lines and complementing the vast glazing of the main deck. This is a yacht designed around light and space ...
As the flagship of Princess Yachts’ hugely popular X Class Motor Yacht range, the new X95 Vista brings an enhanced exterior design and a new panoramic bow structure, offering a fresh and contemporary feel to the flagship of the X Class whilst maintaining all of the features, volume and flexibility that made this pioneering yacht so successful.
The largest model available brand new from Princess Yachts, the X95 Vista is a luxury, super flybridge yacht, reimagined for the modern yacht owner.
The X-Class is recognisable for its impressive size & space, as well as the enclosed skylounge on the Flybridge deck, where the helm position can enjoy ideal views of the surroundings, while being protected from the elements, and allowing for further interior space for relaxing and enjoying the water in peace.
The X95 Vista, however, is true to its name by offering large windows and natural light throughout each deck, most notably the sculptured, single piece window that decorates nearly the entire length of the hull. Like a true Vista, every part of this boat offers views of your surroundings beyond the horizon, and living spaces finished to the highest of standards and décor.
The flybridge and main deck cover almost the full length of the yacht. Encompassing her stunning interior, is a striking exterior sure to turn heads on the water; Princess Yachts’ long standing naval architect, Bernard Olensinski, has partnered with Italian design heavyweights, Pininfarina, to create the ultimate in avant-garde yacht architecture. The X95 Vista is not trying to fit in – she is unique and doesn’t follow the crowd. Her openconcept layout allows you to tailor your yacht to your guests and their experience on board, and has the range to take you on long-reaching adventurous voyages.
The concept of ‘Super Flybridge’ is truly felt throughout her interior, with an open main deck configuration to make the most of socialising and relaxing with undisturbed vistas, through to her lower deck featuring three guestrooms to sleep up to six guests and, taking pride of place, the full-beam master stateroom with a private en-suite. Life on board is relaxing and complemented by the generous crew quarters, featuring a fully-equipped crew mess, bathroom and accommodation for up to four crew members.
The Princess X95 Vista is the opportunity to experience an entirely new concept in yacht design. This is the new standard of luxury yachting.

AZIMUT S8 ‘MAIA’ NEWLY LAUNCHED IN 2024 AND NOW FOR CHARTER
Launched in 2024, ‘Myne’, the 24m beauty of the Azimut S Series is a tech-savvy sport yacht with a stylish overall feeling shaped by designers Alberto Mancini and Francesco Guida ...
With a maximum speed of 34 knots and extraordinary lines, Myne sets a new benchmark in luxury and performance.
The expertly designed layout of Azimut S8 Myne includes plush seating areas, a well-appointed galley, and luxurious accommodation for up to 9 guests. Relax and entertain in style, surrounded by the finest materials and finishes that exude a refined ambiance.
Accommodating up to 9 guests across 4 cabins, including a luxurious Master stateroom, a VIP suite and 2 twin cabins with additional pullman in the portside
cabin, Myne ensures a comfortable and stylish journey. The main deck boasts a vast saloon, which creates a seamless integration with the exterior, providing an open and spacious atmosphere. The interiors are characterised by cosiness and sophistication, with meticulous attention to the choice of materials for furnishings. Furthermore, on the exterior, Myne features a sizable sunbed and a dining table.
The exterior lines of carbon tech constructed Azimut S8, Myne, appear to be drawn onto the yacht by the wind itself. Sporty and fluid, they reach from bow to stern, elongating the clean hull volumes together with long windows and the sculptural use of cappings above the bulwarks.
The outdoor spaces are oases of relaxation, with sunbathing and lounging arrangements designed to enhance the all-encompassing experience of the sea. To offer a double garage that can accommodate both the tender and a jet ski, it was necessary to undertake a careful study of the use of space, optimizing each of the technical and living areas with an obsession to detail. With gyro stabilizers underway and at anchor Myne provides comfort cruising even on the disturbed sea.
The Azimut S8 Myne Yacht is now available for charter in Croatia through Touch Adriatic and is located in Split area as the Homeport.

CHOOSING THE RIGHT SUPER YACHT CHARTER
A wealthy individual has a great choice in terms of luxury holiday options these days. A fully inclusive 5 or a 7* hotel, a top private villa, a luxury ocean cruise or a bespoke trip of a lifetime are just some to consider - but nothing compares to a super yacht charter. However, the process of choosing the most suitable super yacht charter is all important ...
1. SETTING YOUR BUDGET
Prices on super yachts can vary considerably. The size of any super yacht is most of the time a good pointer as to how much the charter will cost, yet this is not always the case. A 40m classic yacht is likely to cost much less than a 40m modern Sunseeker. The same is with the type of yacht, as although some gullets can be classed as super yachts, they do usually cost much less than a proper designer super yacht from well known builders such as PERINI NAVI or BENETTI. You also need to consider extra cost such as fuel, provisions, mooring fees and crew tips. We can work out with you what the total of your charter would cost and provide appropriate advice on which type and size of yacht to select.
2. DECIDING ON A DESTINATION
In some destination such as Cote d’Azur in the South of France, the Mecca of Super Yacht Charter, finding a suitable yacht is relatively easy. In more remote locations such as Thailand, Seychelles or even less frequented ones such as Croatia and those where tax arrangements make it difficult for super yacht owners to keep their yachts, for example the Balearics in Spain, selection of yachts is very limited.
3. FINALISING NUMBER OF GUESTS
Most of the time you will know the number of guests on board. The likelihood is that this number will be less than 10 adults or under circumstances the maximum will be 12. The cost of yachts which can accommodate more than 12 guests can be prohibitively expensive, and finding such boats could be very difficult. In those cases, we can recommend tandem charters. Yachts which can accommodate more than 12 guests would have to be registered under a special SOLAS regulation for ‘’cruise ships’’. Should you require such a yacht, for example the lovely O’Mega or require a less expensive boat such as Gulet Barbara, we can provide relevant information and quotes.
4. PRIORITISING ON FACILITIES IN TERMS OF MUST HAVE AND PREFERRED
You will probably have your own set requirements in terms of what is very important to you. In terms of super yachts, this is usually well equipped master cabin, extensive range of water sports equipment, specific size of the tender or zero speed stabilizers. Whatever the requirement is, do let us know about it as we will be able to advise which super yacht will be most suitable for your charter, initially without regards to the cost, but where necessary, we can also find the perfect boat for your requirements.
5. DECIDING ON CABIN CONFIGURATION
If you are a small family, super yachts with owner’s stateroom are likely to be your first choice. With group charters, where a number of couples will sail together or where you will be taking your staff, boats with higher number of master or VIP cabins will be required. With children on board, flexible arrangements with twin cabins that are perhaps near the master cabin. Whatever the case with your charter party set up, we can provide suitable advice as to what boats will be most suitable
6. CHOOSING THE TYPE OF YACHT (MOTOR, SAIL, CATAMARAN)
For the ultimate in safety and luxury, a typical super yacht would probably be a motor yacht. They offer more space and space is indeed the ultimate luxury. However, in case you are a keen sailor, charter a super sail yacht or super catamaran, which equally can offer great space areas, is likely to be your best choice. Expedition or Explorer yachts, which are increasingly becoming the norm in all fleets, are for the serious adventures. Exploring remote Pacific atolls can indeed be done in a motor yacht or even better in a super sail yacht, but an explorer yacht, thanks to their possibilities to venture far away where seaworthiness is the key.
7. CONSIDERATION TO YOUR CHILDREN
Whatever your charter requirements, if you will have children on board, you will mostly need to consider water sports on board and entertainment facilities. We can also provide tips as to the best crews as some yachts will refuse charters with children, while others will specifically welcome them.
8. CREW REQUIREMENTS
Some super yacht charterers prefer to have no major interaction with the crew, other than with service staff during meals or captain when setting up an itinerary or arranging for the cover of expenses. In case where you require special service, either specific cuisine, access to a specific itinerary, or additional services such as a nanny, fitness trainer, chauffer or a bodyguard, we can suggest the most suitable yachts or indeed arrange specialised professionals.
9. FOOD AND DRINKS
One of the most complex issues with super yacht charter is matching the skills of the chef with the taste of the charter guests. While at times it is possible to choose the yacht on the basis of its chef, most of the time this issue will be considered only once the charter is already secured. If you wish to have a certain type of cuisine served on board, it is always best looking into this issue as soon as type and size of the boat is chosen. Where this is not possible, we can advise on providing a suitable menu suggestion, arranging a preference sheet and provisioning order in advance. This is especially important in more remote locations where access to provisions is not ready available.
10. WATERSPORTS AND TENDERS
Most super yachts will have an extensive range of relevant equipment on board. Some will also agree to put required items on board for your charter. Where the equipment on board is not suitable, we can also arrange them to be either delivered (often at no cost to you) or in case of larger, super tenders, charter a suitable one as part of the existing charter.
While we have tried to cover most of the topics that are likely to be of interest or even greatest importance for you, this list should not be seen as the final one. Issues such as flights, airport transfers, helicopters or specific itineraries and fuel costs and so many others will also be looked at or will be discussed during your booking process. We would therefore advise that you do let us know of your most important requirements, and we will look into the rest.

‘EMERALD’ - A JEWEL FOR SALE & CHARTER
Priced at €25,000,000 VAT paid, EMERALD offers a unique opportunity to acquire a timeless Feadship that has been fully rebuilt to exceptional standards. EMERALD is now available for purchase exclusively through TWW Yachts ...
Originally delivered by Feadship in 1990, EMERALD has undergone an extensive rebuild since she was purchased by the current owners in 2021.
EMERALD has been rebuilt to suit her European owners and their ambition to have a luxury home at sea. From the outset of the project they had clear-cut ideas of how EMERALD could be enhanced, all of which were made a reality with the help of Balk Shipyard in the Netherlands.
After arriving at Balk Shipyard in October 2021 measuring 48.6 metres in length following a previous extension, EMERALD was extended further bringing her to a total LOA of 50.4 metres.
Together with British studio Design Unlimited, EMERALD’s owners redesigned the entire interior and opted for a modern and timeless theme. The refreshed main-deck layout features a forward-facing master and neighbouring VIP suite, while the four remaining guest suites are situated on the lower deck. The main saloon is now an open-plan design with a small partition separating the lounge and dining area. The connecting main-deck galley has benefited also from a reconfiguration and complete upgrade to commercial equipment.
The bridge deck saloon was also extended as was the bridge deck cockpit where a single new crane replaces the two original cranes to manoeuvre the yacht’s selection of toys in and out of the water. Once clear of equipment, this space can be used as an outdoor lounge and leisure area.
The rebuilt sundeck which was also extended, now features a large spa bath forward, cosy seating area, sun beds and wet bar to form the perfect space to enjoy the sun.
On the lower deck, the space taken by the original VIP cabin now allows for a class leading crew mess, laundry room, cold stores and an additional engineers cabin whilst all of the crew cabins have also been entirely refitted.
As part of the rebuild, the yacht’s mast and superstructure archway were both redesigned to suit the modernised superyacht and new equipment fitted to it.
Much of the equipment onboard EMERALD has been replaced with brand-new navigation systems, AV/ IT communication systems and two zero-speed Quantum extendable stabilisation fins to name just some. While those items such as the engines and generators which were new in 2015 have been fully serviced up to date.
With a stunning new paint job in Orion Green for the hull and Aquila White for the superstructure, EMERALD is ready to go for years to come!

THE IMPORTANCE OF YACHT INSURANCE
Owning a yacht is a dream come true for many. The sleek lines, the gentle sway of the waves, and the feeling of freedom as you navigate the open waters – it’s an experience like no other. But with the joy of yacht ownership comes the responsibility of protecting your prized possession. This is where yacht insurance becomes essential.
Yacht insurance provides coverage against a range of risks, ensuring that you are financially protected in the event of an accident, theft, or any unforeseen circumstances. It not only safeguards your investment but also gives you peace of mind to enjoy your time on the water without worry. With the right insurance policy in place, you can sail confidently, knowing that you are protected against potential losses.
UNDERSTANDING YACHT INSURANCE
Yacht insurance policies typically offer a comprehensive range of coverage options to meet the various needs of yacht owners. These policies typically include protection against damage to your yacht, theft, liability for bodily injury or property damage caused by your yacht, and medical payments coverage for injuries sustained by you or your passengers.
Damage coverage protects against physical damage to your yacht, including collisions, groundings, fires, storms, or any other covered perils. Theft coverage provides financial protection in case your yacht is stolen or vandalized. Liability coverage is crucial as it protects you in case you cause bodily injury or property damage to others while operating your yacht. Medical payments coverage ensures that medical expenses for you or your passengers are covered in the event of an accident.
It’s important to carefully review the coverage options available to you and choose the ones that best suit your needs. Consider factors such as the value of your yacht, the waters you plan to navigate, and the level of risk you are comfortable with. By understanding the different coverage options, you can make an informed decision and ensure that you have the right level of protection.
FACTORS AFFECTING YACHT INSURANCE RATES
When it comes to determining yacht insurance rates, several factors come into play. Insurance companies consider various aspects of your yacht and your boating experience to assess the level of risk and determine the premium you will pay. Here are some key factors that can influence your yacht insurance rates:
1. Yacht Value:
The value of your yacht is an important factor in determining your insurance premium. The higher the value of your yacht, the more it will cost to insure. This is because a higher-value yacht represents a greater financial risk for the insurance company.
2. Navigational Waters:
The waters in which you plan to navigate your yacht can impact your insurance rates. Some waters are considered riskier than others due to factors such as weather conditions, traffic volume, or navigational challenges. If you plan to sail in waters that are known to be more hazardous, you can expect higher insurance premiums.
3. Boating Experience:
Your level of boating experience also plays a role in determining your insurance rates. Insurance companies generally offer better rates to experienced boaters who have a proven track record of safe navigation. If you are a first-time boat owner or have limited boating experience, you may face higher insurance premiums.
4. Safety Equipment:
The safety features and equipment on your yacht can also impact your insurance rates. Yachts equipped with safety features such as fire suppression systems, navigation aids, and security systems may qualify for lower insurance premiums. It’s important to ensure
that your yacht is equipped with the necessary safety equipment to not only protect yourself and your passengers but also potentially reduce your insurance costs.
5. Claims History:
Your claims history is an important consideration for insurance companies. If you have a history of filing frequent or significant claims, it may result in higher insurance rates. On the other hand, a clean claims history can potentially lead to lower premiums. It’s important to note that different insurance companies may weigh these factors differently, so it’s worthwhile to shop around and compare quotes to find the best coverage at the most competitive rates.
WHY YACHT INSURANCE MATTERS
Owning a yacht is a dream come true for many. The freedom of sailing the open seas, the luxury of onboard amenities, and the prestige that comes with owning a beautiful vessel – it’s a lifestyle like no other. But along with these joys, there are also risks involved. Yachts are exposed to various hazards, both on and off the water.
From storms and accidents to theft and liability claims, the potential for financial loss can be significant. That’s where yacht insurance comes in. It provides the protection you need to enjoy your yacht without worrying about the what-ifs. Yacht insurance covers a range of risks, including damage to your vessel, theft of personal belongings, liability for accidents, and more. By having the right insurance policy in place, you can safeguard your investment and sail with peace of mind.
GETTING AN ONLINE QUOTE FOR YACHT INSURANCE

It’s important to review the quote carefully and ensure that the coverage options and policy limits meet your needs. If you have any questions or need assistance, most insurance companies have a dedicated support team that can help you navigate the quote process and provide clarification on any areas of concern.
WHAT TO CONSIDER WHEN COMPARING YACHT INSURANCE QUOTES
When comparing yacht insurance quotes, it’s important to look beyond the premium amount and consider other factors that can impact the value you receive from your policy. Here are a few key considerations to keep in mind:
1. Coverage Limits:
Pay attention to the coverage limits provided by each policy. Ensure that the limits are sufficient to cover the value of your yacht and any potential liabilities you may face. It’s important to strike a balance between adequate coverage and affordability.
2. Exclusions and Limitations:
Read the policy documents carefully to understand any exclusions or limitations that may apply. Some policies may exclude certain types of damage or have restrictions on navigational areas. Make sure you are aware of any limitations that may impact your coverage.
3. Deductibles:
Consider the deductibles associated with each policy. A deductible is the amount you are responsible for paying out of pocket before the insurance coverage kicks in. A higher deductible may result in lower premiums but could mean more out-of-pocket expenses in the event of a claim.
4. Additional Coverage Options:
Look for any additional coverage options that may be available. Some insurance companies offer specialized coverage for specific risks, such as coverage for personal effects, equipment breakdown, or emergency towing. Consider whether these additional options are relevant to your needs and factor them into your decision-making process.
5. Customer Service and Claims Process:
Evaluate the reputation and customer service record of the insurance company. A reliable and responsive claims process can make all the difference when you need to file a claim. Look for reviews and testimonials from other yacht owners to get a sense of the company’s track record in handling claims.
By considering these factors and comparing quotes from multiple insurance providers, you can make an informed decision and choose the policy that offers the best value for your needs.
TIPS FOR SELECTING THE RIGHT YACHT INSURANCE POLICY
Selecting the right yacht insurance policy is a crucial step in protecting your investment. Here are some tips to help you make an informed decision:
1. Assess Your Needs:
Take the time to evaluate your specific needs and the level of risk you are comfortable with. Consider factors such as the value of your yacht, the waters you plan to navigate, and any additional coverage options that may be relevant to you. Determine the coverage limits and deductibles that best suit your needs.
2. Shop Around:
Don’t settle for the first quote you receive. Shop around and compare quotes from multiple insurance providers to ensure you are getting the best coverage at the most competitive rates. Consider working with a reputable insurance broker who can help you navigate the market and find the right policy for your needs.
3. Read the Fine Print:
Carefully review the policy documents and understand the terms and conditions, including any exclusions or limitations that may apply. Make sure you are aware of what is covered and what is not, as well as any specific requirements or obligations you need to fulfill.
4. Consider the Insurance Company’s Reputation:
Look for insurance companies with a solid reputation and a track record of providing reliable coverage and responsive customer service. Research the company’s financial stability and claims handling process to ensure you will be well taken care of in the event of a claim.
5. Seek Expert Advice:
If you are unsure about any aspect of yacht insurance, don’t hesitate to seek expert advice. A knowledgeable insurance broker or a yacht insurance specialist can help you navigate the complexities of yacht insurance and provide guidance tailored to your specific needs.
Remember, yacht insurance is not just a legal requirement in many jurisdictions, but also a crucial tool to protect your investment and ensure your peace of mind on the water. By taking the time to carefully evaluate your needs, compare quotes, and select the right policy, you can sail confidently, knowing that your yacht is protected.
COMMON MISCONCEPTIONS ABOUT YACHT INSURANCE
Yacht insurance can sometimes be misunderstood, leading to common misconceptions about coverage and its importance. Let’s debunk some of these misconceptions:
1. “My Homeowner’s Insurance Covers My Yacht”:
While it’s true that some homeowner’s insurance policies provide limited coverage for small watercraft, such as canoes or small sailboats, they often exclude coverage for larger vessels like yachts. It’s important to have a dedicated yacht insurance policy to ensure comprehensive coverage for your valuable investment.
2. “I Only Need Insurance for Accidents”:
While accidents are a significant risk that yacht insurance covers, there are other risks to consider as well. Theft, vandalism, storm damage, liability claims, and even medical expenses can all be covered under a comprehensive yacht insurance policy. It’s important to understand the full range of risks and ensure you have adequate coverage.
3. “I Can Save Money by Not Insuring My Yacht”: Opting not to have yacht insurance may seem like a cost-saving measure, but it can be a risky decision. The cost of repairs, medical expenses, or liability claims resulting from an incident can far exceed the cost of insurance premiums. By not insuring your yacht, you expose yourself to significant financial risk.
4. “Insurance Companies Will Deny My Claim”:
While it’s true that insurance companies have the right to deny claims in certain circumstances, reputable insurance providers strive to provide fair and efficient claims handling. By choosing a reputable insurer and understanding the terms and conditions of your policy, you can minimize the risk of claim denial.
5. “Yacht Insurance is Only for Wealthy Owners”:
Yacht insurance is not limited to wealthy owners. Policies are designed to cater to a wide range of yacht owners, regardless of the value of their vessel. Whether you own a small sailboat or a luxury yacht, there are insurance options available to suit your needs and budget.
By understanding these misconceptions and seeking accurate information, you can make informed decisions and ensure that you have the right level of protection for your yacht.
ADDITIONAL COVERAGE OPTIONS FOR YACHT OWNERS
In addition to the standard coverage options provided by yacht insurance policies, there are additional coverage options that can enhance your protection and provide added peace of mind. Here are a few examples:
1. Personal Effects Coverage:
Yacht insurance policies typically cover physical damage to your yacht, but they may not provide coverage for personal belongings on board. Personal effects coverage can protect your personal items, such as clothing, electronics, and sporting equipment, in the event of theft, loss, or damage.
2. Equipment Breakdown Coverage:
Yachts are equipped with various mechanical and electrical systems that can be prone to breakdowns. Equipment breakdown coverage can help cover the cost of repairing or replacing damaged equipment, such as engines, generators, or navigational equipment.
3. Emergency Towing Coverage:
If your yacht becomes disabled or stranded on the water, emergency towing coverage can provide financial assistance for towing services to the nearest repair facility. This coverage can save you from incurring high costs associated with emergency towing.
4. Environmental Liability Coverage:
Yacht owners have a responsibility to protect the marine environment. Environmental liability coverage can provide financial protection in the event of an accidental fuel spill or other environmental damage caused by your yacht.
These additional coverage options can be valuable additions to your yacht insurance policy, providing enhanced protection and peace of mind. Consider your specific needs and discuss these options with your insurance provider to determine if they are right for you.
HOW TO FILE A YACHT INSURANCE CLAIM
In the unfortunate event that you need to file a yacht insurance claim, it’s important to know the steps involved and how to navigate the claims process. Here’s a general overview of what to expect:
1. Report the Incident:
As soon as possible, report the incident to your insurance company. Most insurance companies have dedicated claims reporting hotlines or online portals to streamline the process. Provide all necessary information, including the details of the incident, any injuries sustained, and the extent of the damage.
2. Document the Damage:
Take photographs or videos of the damage to your yacht and any other relevant evidence that can support your claim. This documentation will help the insurance company assess the extent of the damage and expedite the claims process.
3. Gather Supporting Documentation:
Provide any additional documentation requested by the insurance company, such as police reports, repair estimates, or medical records. This documentation will help validate your claim and ensure a smoother claims process.
4. Cooperate with the Claims Adjuster:
The insurance company may assign a claims adjuster to assess the damage and determine the validity of your claim. Cooperate fully with the adjuster, providing any requested information or access to your yacht. Be honest and transparent throughout the process.
5. Review the Settlement Offer:
Once the claims adjuster has assessed the damage, they will provide a settlement offer. Review the offer carefully, ensuring that it aligns with the terms and conditions of your policy and adequately covers the damage sustained. If you have any concerns or questions, discuss them with the claims adjuster or your insurance provider.
6. Resolve the Claim:
If you agree with the settlement offer, you can proceed to resolve the claim by accepting the offer and providing any additional documentation required. Once all necessary paperwork is completed, the insurance company will issue payment for the agreed-upon amount.
