During the first sunny day of the year in Cornwall, the bear cubs thought they’d take some 2024 characters for a stroll in the garden. It was the perfect opportunity to take some photos as the sunshine really brought out their shining personalities. Throughout the year you’ll see various photos of our characters enjoying the bright day, smelling the flowers, and lifting their heads to enjoy the breeze.
Not all characters enjoyed the garden, some secret characters wanted to sit under a tree to enjoy the shade. The nearest shade from a tree would’ve been a bit of a jump for them, so Kimberly (Elpa Bear) came to the rescue and lifted them up, making sure they were sat in the perfect spot to keep cool and ready for their close-up.
The rest of the bear cubs made sure that each character was looking their best, in a place where they felt comfortable, and in the perfect light for the photographer. Meadow Troll was a tiny bit shy for their photo, but as soon as they sat in the grass amongst the colours and smells of the flowers, they felt right at home and ready for their close-ups.
A lot of work goes into creating the pawfect photo of our characters. The whole day was spent making sure each shot was paw-fect. Afterwards, the photos are edited, the final selection is chosen by Charlie, and then they’re shared worldwide with all our wonderful collectors on social media, print, and more! Lesley had an unexpected surprise on a recent visit to The Bearhouse - when browsing the shop and about to buy Dodo from our Signature Collection 2024, who did she bump into...only Charlie herself!
Safety first as our cuddly Couch Potato is belted into the back of Stacey’s car on his way to join her hug. No back seat driving please Couch Potato!
Jody couldn’t wait to share her hug with us in the Secret Cupboard - just look at all those Charlie Bears dragons including Festoon from last year’s BFC Collection and even Draco Dragon from our new Bear & Me range.
Our lovely Best Friend Andrea always brings her paw-some pup Bluey into the Charlie Bears shop in Australia. We all think Bluey is the paw-fect candidate for our ‘real-life’ Gusto!
Ana-Maria had a beary bear-illiant day when visiting The Bearhouse with her hubby on their 13th wedding anniversary. Along with three Charlie Bears joining her hug, including Dazzle shown here, she also got to meet Charlie. If you come down to The Bearhouse…you could be in for a bear-illiant surprise like this too!

This month we’ve got three tricky puzzles for our wonderful Teddy Detectives to solve and that’s because in our July QVC and TVSN shows you will get to meet three new Secret Collection characters. Solve the puzzles in this issue and you’ll have advance knowledge of their names…
