Ricks speech And thanks to ALL for the tiring process of going back through historic files and completing inception forms on them….it was an absolute pain.

It was all quite an achievement really, so well done to all and a big THANK YOU from the Partners.

It’s simply not possible to mention all of our achievements over the year so having liaised with staff in each office I have picked a couple of people who they REALLY want to acknowledge.

Firstly, someone who will always step up and help with a multitude of tasks, be it DIY, gardening or just about anything else that needs sorting. He never takes short cuts and always does an excellent job. He’s a solid pair of hands and asset to the company and along with his partner Michelle he makes up Chafes Hague Lambert super couple. It could only be …..Howard.

Rick is getting more experienced in doing his Christmas address and 2023 was no exception.

For those of you who didn’t get to the Christmas lunch here are the highlights.

It of course started with a joke and a pop at the Man Utd fans.

He then went on to say “My initial thoughts about the Christmas speech was not to mention AML, but when we look back over the year AML was such a large part of it, that not only could I not mention it, but it made me realise where we’ve got to with AML and that the validation we received from the SRA & the auditor was an achievement worthy of celebration.

Thanks to Arthur and Eden who were interviewed by the Inspector, who was impressed with their knowledge and application of AML regulations.

And I’m sure Craig would win Mastermind if his specialist subject was ‘The Money Laundering Regulations 2017 and the Code of Conduct for Solicitors’…… gosh that would be boring.

During the year, we’ve further developed the take on of new residential conveyancing instructions. We’ve developed an efficient process which has been commended by clients. As has the pristine way in which Sophie on-boards clients, she deals with them in such a professional manner, which means we always get off to the best start. So thanks Sophie for making the process successful.

Congratulations to Alana and Shireen on qualifying as solicitors this year. A great achievement.
