LOCATIONS

FOUR CAMPUSES ACROSS THE EASTSIDE OF KING COUNTY

Cedar Crest Academy offers an outstanding educational program across its four campuses on the Eastside of King County Each campus boasts its own unique features and culture, yet all adhere to the same level of academic excellence The curriculum, consistent across all grade levels, has been specifically designed to meet the highest standards and ensure that all students receive the same exceptional education, regardless of the campus they attend

PARK HIGHLAND West Bellevue NORTHUP Northwest Bellevue REDMOND Southeast Redmond BELLEWOOD Northwest Bellevue

g g

All Cedar Crest Academy locations offer Kindergarten to facilitate a smooth transition from Pre-Primary to Elementary. However, our Bellewood campus is the only campus to offer Kindergarten through Fifth Grade. Kindergartners at Park Highland, Northup, and Redmond transfer to Bellewood Elementary for First grade and continue their education to Fifth grade.

Which campus offers Young Preschool?

For 2024-2025, we hope to provide Young Preschool at our newly established Northup location Young Preschool is typically offered at one campus only, and the availability of the program hinges upon interest and application numbers

Do all campuses provide the same accelerated curriculum?

Yes! All our campuses follow the same curriculum This ensures that every student has equal access to learning materials and opportunities for growth and success Additionally, teachers from the same grade band convene monthly across all four campuses to discuss new strategies, exchange lesson plan ideas, and introduce innovative activities.

Which campus should I choose?

When selecting a campus, families typically consider the daily commute and the proximity to their home. While some prefer our smaller campuses for a more intimate atmosphere, others opt for larger ones. However, we strongly recommend that families prioritize their child's needs when making a decision. Regardless of the choice, we ensure that all our campuses offer equal access to resources, opportunities, and learning

Fifth Grade students at the Bellewood campus due to their early arrival time.

How do Pre-Primary families stay updated on their child’s habits?

Cedar Crest Academy’s Pre-Primary staff rely on Brightwheel, an online childcare application, for their daily operations. Using this application, Pre-Primary families can receive regular updates on their child's eating, sleeping, and potty habits. Additionally, teachers can easily send messages and share pictures to keep families fully informed about their child's progress and overall experience at school.

Are Pre-Primary students required to wear uniforms?

No Uniforms are only required for our students who attend Kindergarten - Fifth Grade at the Bellewood location All Pre-Primary students are asked to wear weatherappropriate and comfortable clothes so they can participate in school activities

Does my child need to be potty trained?

Yes All Pre-Primary students are required to be fully potty trained before they begin school. It is a strict policy of our program and pull-ups or nap-time diapers are not permitted. We do, however, understand that accidents are common for students at this age, so we request parents to send extra pairs of clothes.

Is Cedar Crest Academy a Montessori style program?

Cedar Crest Academy is not a Montessori school. Although we do incorporate some Montessori teaching techniques and tools, our approach to learning is a blend of play and exploration through formal lessons. Unlike Montessori, our Pre-Primary students are grouped into grade levels that are strictly based on their chronological age. We adhere to this age requirement to ensure compliance with local public schools

RESPECTING & SUPPORTING INDIVIDUAL DIFFERENCES

While Cedar Crest Academy has expanded to four campuses, our commitment to individualized learning and establishing a strong connection between the home and school environments remains unchanged. We believe parents are influential partners in their child's education and want to emphasize parent involvement and open communication.

We recognize that every child learns at their own pace and has unique learning styles, and our goal is to support each student and collaborate with their families to help them reach their full potential. We challenge our students to explore difficult content and encourage them to broaden their understanding of each subject area.

We do the following to further individualize our curriculum and communicate with families
