TAHOE DONNER + TRUCKEE-TAHOE OLYMPIANS The Winter Olympics begin this February! This much-anticipated global event will take place in Beijing, China beginning Feb. 3 with the opening ceremony scheduled for Friday, Feb. 4. If you live in the Truckee-Tahoe area, the Winter Olympics is more than just a dream for many residents – it’s a reality. Whether you know someone, live next to someone or are someone who competed for a spot in Beijing, the Tahoe Donner community and Tahoe area has played a huge part in training today’s Olympians, including these local athletes.
