The NPOA office regularly receives calls may park or store RV’s, boats, and trailers, particularly during the summer season. NPOA CC&R Section 8.09 Parking and
Vehicle Restrictions specifically addresses
parking restrictions including the size and
type of vehicles, boats, and trailers as well
as permitted and restricted parking areas.
RV’s, Boats, & Trailers
NPOA CC&R Section 8.09 Parking and
Vehicle Restrictions addresses restrictions on the size and type of vehicles allowed and prohibited, trailers, campers and
recreation vehicles, commercial vehicles and inoperable vehicles. With the
Association’s permission, campers and
recreation vehicles may be kept upon the
driveway of a lot or parked along the street
of loading and unloading (roadside
between Nov 1 – May 1). Trailers of any
kind including boat trailers are allowed
to be stored within an entirely enclosed garage.
RV, Boat, & Trailer storage
Summer seasonal storage area for RV’s,
boats, or trailers is available in the Castle Peak parking lot near the roundabout.
Unassigned storage spots are available in
parking lots #11 and 13 beginning May 1st through September 20th and accessible daily between 6am – 8pm. he Castle
Peak parking lot is owned and managed by Northstar California. Therefore, you
must contact Northstar Public Safety at 530.562.2259 to purchase a parking
permit. There are also numerous storage
rental facilities in the North Tahoe Region that may have space available. Please
do NOT call the NPOA office requesting
favors or special permission for overnight storage in your driveway or along the street.
Inoperable vehicles
NPOA CC&R Section 8.09 Parking and Vehicle Restrictions (b) (iv) Inoperable
Vehicles states: “No inoperable vehicle (including, without limitation, vehicles without current registration, vehicles without operable engines or tires)
shall be parked at any time within the
Development except for parking within
an enclosed garage.” Staff have contacted numerous homeowners this spring
regarding inoperable vehicles. In most
cases, homeowners or their tenants have been very respectful and understanding. Your staff, and in most cases your
neighbors, are very appreciative when these situations are quickly resolved.

Condominium Association Parking NPOA CC&R Section 8.09 Parking
and Vehicle Restrictions (f) Parking in
Condominium Projects. To summarize, the NPOA parking restrictions are not
applicable to the Condominium Projects. However, each of the Condominium
Projects do have parking restrictions
and Rules and Regulations within their
governing documents. The Aspen Grove, Gold Bend, Indian Hills, and Ski Trails
Associations would like to remind their homeowners that parking passes are
required in these Condominium parking
lots for all homeowners and guests. Please contact the association management
