Soquel Camp Meeting

WelcomeBienvenidos

Soquel Camp Meeting. The words bring memories of inspirational music and speakers, informative seminars, fun and food with friends and family, activities for the youth and children, and much more.

As we gather once again, this time for the full ten days, we will experience all these things, perhaps in a simpler and deeper way after the separation caused by COVID But when we finish our time here at Soquel, we need to hear Jesus’ call, found throughout sacred Scriptures, “Arise and Go!”

“Arise and Go” to the wicked cities and neighborhoods that need Jesus. Jonah 1:2; 3:2.

We tell those who are paralyzed by the burdens of sin, shame, and addiction, “Arise and Go” because Jesus has made you well. Mark 2:11.

As we share the incredible non-judgmental love of God with our neighbors and coworkers, they say, “I will Arise and Go to my Heavenly Father because He has a place for me in His house." Luke 15:18.

Each day as we ask the Lord for divine appointments, He will tell us to “Arise and Go” to those most receptive to Him and His Word. Acts 8:26.

When we are afraid of being misunderstood, we will hear the voice of the Holy Spirit telling us to “Arise and Go, doubting nothing.” Acts 10:20.

During this Soquel Camp Meeting, may you be listening carefully for His voice so when you return home, you will be ready to “Arise and Go” for Him each day!

Encuentro Campestre Soquel.

Children’s Registration

Welcome to our enriching children’s program! Our devoted team shares a passionate commitment to nurturing a personal relationship between your child and Christ, offering them a profound understanding of His boundless love and compassion. Our initiative, rooted in faith, is all about helping each child recognize that they are individually cherished by God. We aspire to create an environment where they can experience His kindness and mercy, inspiring a transformative journey towards growing in His image.

Every year, our dedicated leaders invest countless hours into carefully crafting the program’s structure. We ask for divine guidance, selecting stories and activities that will deeply touch each child’s heart and mind. Our staff members don’t just see themselves as guides; they strive to build meaningful relationships with the children, hoping that through these interactions, the love and kindness of Christ shines brightly.

We warmly invite you to join us in this mission, contributing your prayers for the success of these children’s gatherings. Together, we can create an unforgettable spiritual experience for your child.

Our mission is to foster a personal connection with Christ, imbue the understanding of God's love, promote engagement with His teachings, encourage healthy choices, provide engaging educational activities, and cultivate a lifestyle of service and outreach.

Registration Process for Children

Aged 0-12

Registration not only makes it possible for your child to attend programming designed specifically for their age but also helps security. If something happens to your child, security can find you through their wristband number and the information provided during registration. Whether you are at Soquel just for the day or for the whole camp meeting experience, your child must be registered.

Pre-registration

For a smoother, more convenient experience, we encourage preregistration. Children who have been registered through cccregistration.org can go to our "will call" table to get wristbands, then head directly to their division tents.

If you haven’t preregistered, please use the provided QR Code to register your children. Then proceed to the Children’s Registration Booth to finalize your registration and receive wristbands.

Easy Steps to Register Your Child

1. Eligibility: All children from birth to 12 years old are required to be registered.

2. Medical Form: Please ensure you fill out the medical form comprehensively.

3. Wristbands: Upon completion of the registration, a color-coded wristband will be given to both the child and the parent.

4. Parental Identification: Parents will also receive corresponding numbers that need to be shown at the division tent when picking up their Kindergarten or Primary aged child(ren).

Rules for Safety

To maintain a secure environment, we have implemented several safety measures.

• Children must wear wristbands at all times.

• Parents who have misplaced their pickup number must present their approved photo ID at the registration booth to obtain a new number before picking up their child(ren).

• Only a parent or guardian is allowed to pick up a child.

Age Specific Program

Each division leader prepares a program designed specifically for your child. This makes the program more impactful for the child. It also makes it easier for staff to relate to the hundreds of children that come to each division. Please respect the process and truthfully give your child’s age.

Writsbands

BEGINNERS: Birth–3 yrs. Yellow Wristband

KINDERGARTEN: 4 yrs.–6 yrs. Red Wristband

PRIMARY: 7 yrs.–9 yrs. Green Wristband

JUNIORS*: 10 yrs.–12 yrs. Blue Wristband

*Juniors may leave at the end of the meeting without parent pickup

Forgotten Angels

Due to the hustle and bustle of camp meeting, some children aren’t picked up until very late. This only causes distress for the child and for the staff (who need a break before preparing your child’s next meeting). Fifteen minutes after each child’s program ends, all children not picked up will be taken to the “Forgotten Angels Station” located at the Children’s Registration Booth. If after 30 minutes the child is still not picked up, security will be notified.

Wristbands Replacement

In case of a lost or broken wristband, replacements can be obtained at the Children’s Registration Booth. The first replacement is free, and for subsequent replacements, a donation will be requested. If a parent has lost their number, a new band will be issued after they present their approved photo ID to the registration team.

On-Site Registration Location & Times

The Children’s Registration Booth is located north of the Main Auditorium in front of the Kindergarten Tent.

Weekdays: 8:00–11:30 AM; 6:00–9:00 PM

Registración de Niños

¡Bienvenidos a nuestro enriquecedor programa infantil!

EVANGELISM Report

2022–2023

30

It is gratifying to highlight the remarkable ways the Central California Conference is leveraging resources for evangelistic endeavors. In the wake of the global pandemic, our commitment has solidified, propelling us to reach further, aim higher, and strengthen our resolve in anticipation of the glorious return of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Our annual Soquel Camp Meeting ministry remains a pivotal conduit for divine service, catalyzing evangelistic momentum and instigating outreach initiatives across Central California. The continuity of this significant work relies on your unwavering commitment and dedication as a partner in evangelism offerings. Your sacrifices are deeply appreciated, particularly now as we approach His imminent second coming.

Every donated dollar is treasured and allocated towards the most vital work conferred to us. Through prayerful dedication, we distribute GLOW tracts, train budding evangelists, fund public evangelism efforts, develop church plants, and pioneer various evangelistic programs. Notably, we've inaugurated a digital evangelism department, a groundbreaking initiative for any world church conference, designed to leverage innovative strategies to reach 10 million individuals within our territory.

Numerous extraordinary ministries, supported by your generous contributions, are dedicated to fulfilling the mission bestowed upon us by Jesus Christ. These include:

Fill Every Baptistry

Initiative involves comprehensive training for a diverse group of lay leaders, including men, women, and youth. These leaders spearhead evangelistic efforts within various local churches during the spring and fall of each year. We give thanks for the grace of the Lord, as we welcomed 652 new Adventists into the church families of Central California in 2022, and 472 in 2021. This initiative has contributed to a nearly 50% surge in baptisms within just a single year.

Growth Hotspot Initiative acknowledges those churches with 15 or more new baptisms as Growth Hotspots. Eight of our church districts have achieved, and in some instances even exceeded, this Growth Hotspot status.

Fill Every Desk

Initiative is pioneering inventive strategies to enhance student enrollment in our schools. This initiative operates on a grantbased system, offering a monetary incentive of $10,000 to those schools that achieve their expanded enrollment targets.

Least Reached Regions (LRR) Missions: This year, we’re sending three LRR Mission Teams to Ireland, Georgia, and Lebanon.

GLOW Tracts

Distribution:

Almost 150 million GLOW tracts have been distributed worldwide to date, including 1 million in Ukraine, 1 million in Argentina, and 3 million in Bolivia.

The Great Controversy

Distribution:

Our objective is to share this impactful book with every North American household in the upcoming years. We're partnering with the fervent ministry "Streams of Light" to facilitate its distribution across Central California.

32

Church Planting

Last year, we planted 6 new church mission groups, and this year we anticipate establishing at least 10 new groups.

Community Outreach: Partnering with organizations like CityServe, we address our community's needs. A $100,000 North American Division grant supports our food pantry ministry in many local churches. During the Santa Cruz Lightning Complex fire and the Creek Fire, our Soquel Conference Center and team provided crucial shelter and support to hundreds of evacuees.

Boost Youth Initiative: We aim to start 100 new Pathfinder and Adventurer Clubs and Youth Groups in the next year.

33

Arise and Go Training:

We offer comprehensive training in areas such as Sabbath School, Pathfinder, Children's Ministry, Youth Ministry, and Digital Evangelism. This is to empower lay leaders in each of the eight regions of the Central California Conference every spring. Additionally, our Digital Academy Training is accessible online at www.cccadventist.org.

Digital Evangelism:

We've launched a Digital Evangelism Prototype project in collaboration with NAD and GC. Around 45 churches from our conference have joined. Through digital advertisements and prayer, we plan to reach out to our community more effectively.

Life Hope Centers

Santa Maria Seventh-day Adventist Church commemorated reopening on April 23, demonstrating Jesus's spirit of service and compassion, and making a significant impact on their community. Over $83,000 worth of services were freely provided to the community, highlighting the center's commitment to service. This is just the beginning of their journey, with plans to extend their services to other regions, including Silicon Valley and Fresno, showing their ambition to reach out and help even more people.

As you faithfully return tithe and give to your local church, the Lord strengthens what we have. Your generosity to Conference Evangelism offering allows us to go farther and faster in Jesus' mission! As you consider your contributions, remember their profound impact on fulfilling God's mission here in Central California. Every dollar is handled with the utmost duty, responsibility, and privilege.
