Chapter Happenings CCAI Chapter Boards Need YOU! Have you ever considered joining the board of directors for your chapter? It’s not something that many members give a second thought, but I’d like to encourage all members to think about it. I realize the majority of our members have very little spare time, but serving on a Chapter board has many benefits that you may not know. I wanted to take a moment to make you aware of them and get you thinking “Hmmm, that might not be a bad idea.” The primary purpose of Chapter boards is to develop programming and oversee the operation of your chapter. The quality programming, fun social events and industry cooperation all start with your board. Some boards meet once a month; some less often. But all boards continue to look for new board members to bring in new ideas, share a little bit of the work and improve the chapter for all members. Serving on a Chapter board goes beyond the work & meetings that are involved. You develop relationships and friendships that will serve you well in both your business and personal life. You’ll get to know other chapter members better as well. It’s not as time consuming as you might think and I’m positive that you will enjoy being a part of a Chapter board more than you ever thought you would. Want to know more about joining a Chapter board or helping out with Chapter events, contact your chapter president. Here’s a list of our current presidents. Don’t hesitate to drop them an email or give them a call.
