Free Youth Heart Screening | Sunday, November 2 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm: 1 in 300 young people have a heart condition that puts them at risk for Sudden Cardiac Arrest. When Bronny James collapsed on the basketball court during practice at USC in 2023, it was determined he had a heart defect that was never caught during his routine sports physicals. In collaboration with UC Davis Childrenâs Hospital, Project ADAM Sacramento and the Kyle J. Taylor Foundation, we will be holding a FREE Youth Heart Screening for anyone aged 12-25. Halloween| Friday, October 31: Costumes are encouraged. Please remember, Culturally & CB appropriate costumes only, no weapons (real or fake), no fake blood or dangerous props, no short shorts, leggings, visible midriff/undergarments, no political or controversial costumes, and the basic principles for dress at CB must be followed.
Little Shop of Horrors: Tickets are on sale for the fall musical, Little Shop of Horrors, opening November 7 and continuing November 8, 9, 14, 15, 16. Student tickets are $5, adult tickets are $10, and seats may be purchased via the Ticket Hub tab on our website

FAMILY DONATION DAY: Friday, November 7th: We welcome families to drop off donations for the Auction & Gala during morning student drop off on Friday, November 7th between 7:30 AM and 8:30 AM. Look for CB Parent Volunteers in front of the main office and at the side drop off gate (near the cafeteria). Donations are how CB offers special and unique items at the Auction. SALT October Drive: Candy to Support Halloween at Oak Ridge Gratefully Accepted! Last call for candy donations to support a Hall-oween event for students and families at Oak Ridge Elementary. Candy donations are gratefully accepted in the LSLO until Halloween day! Seniors have several important deadlines for the yearbook in the coming months. See the attached ďŹyer and scan the QR codes for:
1 Due November 29th - Senior Portraits with Bill Smith at either their Roseville or Sacramento locations
2. Due December 6th - Senior Tribute Ads for the yearbook. You can design your own ad that celebrates your Senior with pictures of your choice. Space is limited.
3 Due December 6th - Senior Quotes. Please encourage your senior to come up with a 120-character quote they wish to have under their yearbook portrait

Baccalaureate Mass will be on Friday, May 22, at 9:00 a.m., and the Graduation Ceremony will be at 7:00 p.m. in the Memorial Auditorium.
Parking Permits: Parking permits are required to park on campus and are only issued to students with a valid driverâs license and proof of insurance. Because of limited space, parking permits are limited to one per household. Parking Permits are available to purchase online. Students can go to the front office to pick up their permit, with proof of purchase. If students are caught parking on campus without a Parking Permit, they will be issued a parking violation. ATTENTION WRITERS: The CB original one act playwriting contest is back! The deadline to submit a one act play is October 31st. Join the Schoology group for the CB Theatre Showcase with code, DZQW-GSBJ-VTVKN, for information and updates Contact Mr. Jackson with any questions.
Clothes Closet: Open on Fridays during the student lunch period on Oct. 30; Nov. 13; and Dec. 4. The Clothes Closet has been a huge success for students looking for dress code apparel All items are gently used and at no cost Due to the popularity of the lunchtime openings, the closet is very low on inventory especially CBHS polos and college sweatshirts.
Donations of clothing items in dress code are always welcome and can be dropped off in the Front Office during business hours. A very big thank you to all families and staff who have made donations! Contact Donna Adam - clothescloset@cbhssacramento.org with any questions.

Any student wishing to try out for a Winter Sport must have an updated physical on FinalForms and all the FinalForms parent and student forms signed to participate Tryouts begin Monday, November 3rd for the following programs: menâs basketball, menâs soccer, womenâs basketball, and womenâs soccer.
