LET US REMEMBER...WE ARE IN THE HOLY PRESENCE OF GOD
Greetings from Christian Brothers High School!
Important Message from Dr. Perry and Mrs. Powers:
Dear Families,
Last week, the Catholic bishops of California released a statement called, “On Recent Violence, Public Trust, and the Call for Peace and Accountability” The Diocese of Sacramento has posted the statement with an introduction from our Most Reverend Bishop Soto here
As a Lasallian Catholic community, we look to this message, along with earlier communications from Pope Leo and the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, for guidance and clarity as we accompany our students during this challenging time
In their statement, our bishops call for action in a clear and powerful way which is very much in-line with our Lasallian core principle of Respect for All Persons Their words call us to honor the dignity of every individual, to seek understanding over division, and to model the peace and accountability we hope to inspire in our young people
We have shared this information with our faculty and staff and want you all, as members of our Lasallian Catholic community, to have it as well In the words of our bishops, we pray, “May the Prince of Peace call our nation to account, turn us away from violence and fear, and lead us toward justice, reconciliation, and lasting peace.
Thank you for your partnership and prayers as we navigate this difficult time in our country
Live Jesus in our hearts!
Dave Perry, Ed D President
