LET US REMEMBER...WE ARE IN THE HOLY PRESENCE OF GOD Greetings from Christian Brothers High School! • Students are on Thanksgiving break from Wednesday, November 21 – Friday, November 23. Classes resume on Monday, November 26. We wish the entire CB community a safe and happy Thanksgiving! • Thank you so much to our CB Family for the generous donations of canned and boxed foods prior to Thanksgiving Week. We collected nearly 5,000 canned and boxed items, doubling the amount received last year! Thank you to everyone who donated cash cards to help those affected by the Butte County Camp Fire as well. Your contributions will go directly to provide assistance to individuals and families in need. The generosity and support from the CB community is greatly appreciated. Our Advent Almsgiving will begin on December 1 – more details will be coming your way soon.

Events and Announcements Please visit the CB School Calendar for a full list of upcoming events. • Registration for the Mock SAT/ACT for juniors on January 12 at CB is now open. Flyers with registration information are posted on the Counseling page of the CB website and in the Counseling office. • Seniors: Please update Family Connection with admissions decisions and turn in scholarship award letters to the Counseling Department. • There are college application workshops on Thursday, November 29 from 8:00-9:00 a.m. and during Falcon Flex. This is the last opportunity to have your application reviewed before the November 30 UC/CSU application deadline. • Student Council and Sodexo will join forces again this week for our annual “60 Seconds of Service” sandwich marathon. During lunch on November 29, CB students will be out in force making as many sandwiches as possible. The goal is three-fold: to break last year’s record of over 600 sandwiches, win the competition hosted by Sodexo, and primarily to donate all of the sandwiches to the hungry in the Sacramento region. • We proudly present our annual Choral Christmas Concert in the George Cunningham ’40 Performing Arts Center on Saturday, December 1 at 7:00 p.m. Tickets may be purchased in advance in the Ticket Hub or at the door. • Student Council is hearing presentations from student groups requesting funds from our Falcon Fun Run happening this spring on Saturday, April 6, 2019. The Fun Run is the only fundraising event earmarked for student distribution. This gives our students powerful lessons on how to make a request for funds as a club or

student activity, and the decision-making process to allocate those funds. Thank you to the supporters of this worthwhile event!
