Important Announcements

Driving / parking reminders: We have received reports from the community that our students may be using the neighborhood streets to get to school and doing so at high speeds. Please remember that this is a residential community and try to use the main streets to get to your destinations as well as driving speed limit if you must use the neighborhood streets Please also adhere to the following driving/ parking guidelines.

If you park in the neighborhood, please make sure to obey parking signs and please do not park in front of driveways.

Trey to park in well-lit and high-trafficked areas

Always lock your doors no matter where you park.

Parking on campus requires a 2025-2026 CB parking permit

Having a permit gives you the right to park on campus but does not guarantee a spot.

If you do not have a permit and are caught parked on campus you may receive a $50 fine.

Painted spaces are reserved until 10 minutes before the first bell of the day at which point they become first come first serve for those with parking passes.

Counseling Department

Testing Day is Monday, Oct 20th! Please have your student arrive to campus by 8:30am and report to their testing room with a fully charged iPad and the BlueBook App installed. Students may also bring a snack and water Students will be dismissed between 11:30 and 11:45am There will be breakfast items before the test and a limited grab-and-go lunch menu after testing

The ACT is this Saturday. Please arrive to your testing location by 7:45am with the admission ticket, ID, pencil, calculator, and water/snack

Seniors: College Application Workshops are hosted each Thursday before and after school in Room 103.

Free Youth Heart Screening | Sunday, November 2 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm: 1 in 300 young people have a heart condition that puts them at risk for Sudden Cardiac Arrest. When Bronny James collapsed on the basketball court during practice at USC in 2023, it was determined he had a heart defect that was never caught during his routine sports physicals. In collaboration with UC Davis Children’s Hospital, Project ADAM Sacramento and the Kyle J Taylor Foundation, we will be holding a FREE Youth Heart Screening for anyone aged 12-25. The event will be held in the gym at Monterey Trail High School. Advance registration is open now at www.kylejtaylor.org/screenings. For more information, click on this flyer

Parking Permits: Parking permits are required to park on campus and are only issued to students with a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance Because of limited space, parking permits are limited to one per household. Parking Permits are available to purchase online. Students can go to the front office to pick up their permit, with proof of purchase If students are caught parking on campus without a Parking Permit, they will be issued a parking violation. FAMILY DONATION DAY: Friday, November 7th: We welcome families to drop off donations for the Auction & Gala during morning student drop off on Friday, November 7th between 7:30 AM and 8:30 AM Look for CB Parent Volunteers in front of the main office and at the side drop off gate (near the cafeteria). Donations are how CB offers special and unique items at the Auction. Consider donating quality wines, new home goods, a themed gift basket, experiences, vacation home rentals, jewelry, or gift cards. Still need ideas? Visit CB’s Amazon Wish List. Donations can also be dropped off during school hours to the CB Main Office. Thank you for donating!

Lasallian Student Life

Liturgies | Wednesday, October 22 at 8:00 am and Thursday, October 23 at 2:00 pm: Mass is celebrated in the chapel. Parents and family members of CB are always welcome to join!

Seniors

Seniors have several important deadlines for the yearbook in the coming months See the attached flyer and scan the QR codes for:

1.Due November 29th - Senior Portraits with Bill Smith at either their Roseville or Sacramento locations

2.Due December 6th - Senior Tribute Ads for the yearbook. You can design your own ad that celebrates your Senior with pictures of your choice Space is limited

3 Due December 6th - Senior Quotes Please encourage your senior to come up with a 120-character quote they wish to have under their yearbook portrait.

Baccalaureate Mass will be on Friday, May 22, at 9:00 am, and the Graduation Ceremony will be at 7:00 pm in the Memorial Auditorium

SALT October Drive: Candy to Support Halloween at Oak Ridge Gratefully Accepted!

The SALT donation drive this month is Halloween candy for a Hall-oween event for students and families at Oak Ridge Elementary. Candy donations are gratefully accepted in the LSLO until Halloween day! Candy will be used to distribute at the Oak Ridge event CB students are helping to host. Contact Mrs. Hanshew with any questions.

ATTENTION WRITERS: The CB original one act playwriting contest is back! The deadline to submit a one act play is October 31st Join the Schoology group for the CB Theatre Showcase with code, DZQW-GSBJ-VTVKN, for information and updates. Contact Mr. Jackson with any questions.

Clothes Closet: Open on Fridays during the student lunch period on Oct 30; Nov 13; and Dec 4 The Clothes Closet has been a huge success for students looking for dress code apparel. All items are gently used and at no cost. Due to the popularity of the lunchtime openings, the closet is very low on inventory especially CBHS polos and college sweatshirts

Donations of clothing items in dress code are always welcome and can be dropped off in the Front Office during business hours A very big thank you to all families and staff who have made a donation! Contact Donna Adam - clothescloset@cbhs-sacramento.org with any questions.

Winter Tryouts: Any student wishing to try out for a Winter Sport on Monday, November 3rd, must have an updated physical on Final Forms and all the FinalForms parent and student Forms signed to participate To add your student to a tryout group, use the sport button on your individual Final Forms account

Sport Passes are now on sale for the 2025-2026 season. You may purchase a sport pass through the CB Website under the ticket hub tab at the top of the website

CB Athletics has great news! The Christian Brothers Falcons app is updated! Please visit your apple or google play store and manually update your app. Download the CB Falcons App. This is the official app for Christian Brothers High School, which brings fans closer to the team than ever before
