Events and Announcements Please visit the CB School Calendar for a full list of upcoming events. • Freshmen in Mr. Havey’s and Mr. Hayes’s religious studies classes will be attending their virtual Frosh Retreat on Monday, September 28 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. It is important that freshmen in these classes have reviewed and completed the items on the Frosh Retreat Checklist. • Monday, September 28 is the virtual “classroom visit” for juniors at 3:00 p.m. Please click this link to join. Freshmen can join in on the Teams meetings at 12:00 noon on Mondays. We will have guest seniors joining to offer some icebreaker activities and games! • On Saturday, October 3 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., families are invited to participate in our first Falcon Donation Drop-off Drive for the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament’s Brown Bag Lunch (BBL) Ministry – Lunches for the Homeless. distancing guidelines, the drop-off will be in front of the school only. All adult volunteers will be assigned in advance. Please do not drop off your donations before the scheduled day and time. Thank you! Looking ahead… • Yearbooks for the 2019-2020 school year will be distributed to last year’s freshmen, sophomores and juniors on October 6, 7, 8 by this year’s grade level. The drive-thru pickup will be in the driveway in front of the school from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day according to the following schedule: - Tuesday, October 6: Class of 2021 - Wednesday, October 7: Class of 2022 - Thursday, October 8: Class of 2023 • The One Act Play Competition is back! Anyone interested in writing a one act play can enter. The winning play will be submitted for adjudication with the Lenaea High School Theatre Festival and produced as a virtual performance for the CB community as part of the annual CB Theatre Showcase in February. Sports, Clubs & Activities • Open Mic is a club that hosts talent shows once every quarter. We are accepting submission videos for our second-ever virtual show which will be on Friday, October 16. All types of acts are welcome – dance, spoken word, singing with or without tracks, group/band performances recorded a la Zoom style, etc. Film your act and submit it to CBOpenmic@gmail.com by Friday, October 2. Make sure they are CB appropriate as we run a family-friendly show. Message Ms. Schorn on Schoology if you have any questions. • If you purchased a Christian Service Together in Faith shirt and/or sticker through our sister school outreach, they will be available for pickup at the Falcon Drop-Off Drive (first Saturday of each month), which start on Saturday, October 3. • Students are invited to discover the Christ-like values of Christian Service and put these into practice through the S.A.L.T. weekly service workshops on Tuesdays at 7:30 p.m. To sign up, please click here. • Parents and guardians of CB’s Season One athletes are invited to a virtual meeting with the CB Athletic Directors on Wednesday, October 14 at 6:00 p.m. Please click this link to join the meeting.
