Free Youth Heart Screening | Sunday, March 22, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.: The Kyle J. Taylor Foundation, UC Davis Health, and Project ADAM Sacramento are hosting a free, 40-minute heart screening for individuals aged 12 to 25, at Rio Americano High School. The event aims to identify underlying cardiac risks in youth through EKGs and physician reviews Annual physical examinations and sports preparticipation physical exams can miss about 85 to 90% of issues that can cause sudden cardiac arrest in youth. Give blood today! All students must pick up a permission slip in the LSLO to sign up for the Blood Drive on Friday, March 27.
Attention Parents: Parking/Student Drop-off Notice: Please note that if you are dropping off students in the student parking lot in the mornings, we ask that you do not park in parking spots as they are scarce and students must have ample time to park their vehicles and head to class on time. If you need to park please do so in front of the office Also, please make sure to not park in the business parking lots near school or in front of the head start as this is their drop-off area in the morning.

Graduation Announcements - LAST CHANCE! Graduation announcement orders are due on Sunday! Seniors interested in purchasing Graduation Announcements may do so from Herff Jones These are optional for families to purchase, but those interested can click here to place orders.
Last Chance - Optional Day Trip to Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk: The senior class council is planning an optional activity for the senior holiday: a day-long senior trip to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk on Friday, April 17. This event is optional, and all seniors interested in attending are responsible for covering the cost of their ticket for the day All seniors attending the Senior trip must ride to and from the event in the school-chartered bus. Seniors may not provide their own transportation to or from the event. Summer VENAVER to Chicago - Apply Now! The Chicago VENAVER will go to the Brother David Darst Center, which provides transformative immersion experiences grounded in the Lasallian tradition and Catholic Social Teaching We will work with people and organizations in Chicago directly impacted by homelessness, food insecurity, immigration, etc. Each day of this trip will focus on one social justice theme, and each evening's activities and dialog will include the ability to reflect on underlying causes and what we can do. This 5 night trip will also include one day of sightseeing in Chicago. March Donation Drive - Support the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament's Brown Bag Lunch Program! The February and March donation drive is to support the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament's Brown Bag Lunch program! SALT students will volunteer at the Cathedral on Tuesday mornings throughout Lent, and we are accepting donations to support their brown bag lunch program The attached document includes items we will gratefully accept for donation to the hungry
Counseling
Juniors! Save the date: Exploring Colleges Night will be on Thursday, March 19th from 6 - 8 p.m. with college representatives available for information and breakout sessions. We will have reps from a HBCU, UC, CSU, community college, out-of-state private, in-state private, and out of state! Come learn what colleges are looking for right from those who make the decisions!
There is a virtual college fair with schools across the country on Sunday, March 15th from 10 a m - 3 p.m.

The Northwest 5 Consortium: Lewis and Clark, Puget Sound, Reed, Whitman, and Willamette are hosting an information event in Sacramento on Saturday, March 21st from 9am-11am. Register here.
Students interested in taking a community college class over the summer or next fall can come to Room 103 at lunch on Thursday, March 19th for help from the counselors to complete your application.

CB Thrift Shop - School dress code clothing is needed! The following dress code clothing is requested to replenish and serve our students for the CB Thrift Shop, Spring Semester: CBHS /college sweatshirts, polo shirts, CB logo shirts, PE shirts and shorts Donations may be dropped off in the Front Office. Please refer to the Dress Code guidelines in the Parent Handbook for more details.
