Important Announcements
2026-27 Course Pre-Registration: We are excited to implement a new pre-registration process this year, designed to put mentorship at the center of course selection Instead of using the PowerSchool portal, we will utilize paper forms to encourage intentional conversations between students, teachers, and counselors Our goal is to ensure every student selects a schedule that accurately reflects their future aspirations. Grade-level counselors will be visiting Social Studies classrooms shortly to begin this process Stay tuned for further details from your student's counselor regarding deadlines and next steps.
Parent Volunteer Fair | Thursday, January 29 from 6 - 7 p.m..: Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the event will be held in the Cafeteria Come learn about our new parent engagement structure, the Falcon Faithful, and hear about all of the ways to get involved on campus! Reyna Grande Author: We are excited to share that acclaimed author Reyna Grande will be visiting our campus on February 19. Reyna Grande, author of Across a Hundred Mountains, The Distance Between Us and other lovely books, will join us for a special event featuring a keynote presentation followed by a student-led conversation More details coming soon!

The Senior Panoramic Picture Day is Thursday, January 29th, 2026. VIEWING/ORDERING WILL TAKE PLACE AFTER PICTURE DAY: Parents will receive a link via email and text once images are available online. FOR ORDERS PURCHASED: We will mail orders directly to the address input when ordering.

Kairos: Take advantage of making the final Kairos for your class The March Kairos will take place March 10-13, 2026. You can register and make payment here. Kairos is a definite highlight in your senior year. It is a fun week of community building, reflection, and celebrating our faith in the presence of God All that is required is an open mind to the retreat and faith experience. A student does not need to be religious to participate. All are welcome!

Still Accepting Coats and Jackets to Support Loaves & Fishes! The January donation drive is for new and gently used coats and jackets for those in the Sacramento community in need All donations of new or gently used coats and jackets of all sizes can be dropped off in the LSLO through the end of the month! Last Chance - Deadline for VENAVER Yakima and El Otro Lado is TODAY! All juniors and seniors in good academic standing are invited to apply to attend a VENAVER immersion trip. These immersion trips are weeklong opportunities to participate in faith-based experiences exploring community, service learning, social justice, and simple community living. The final two VENAVER are to the Yakama Nation in Washington (March 15-20), and El Otro Lado in Tucson (March 22-27) Applications for both are now open and due by the end of the day on January 9. After students apply, they should regularly check their school email for information about interviews

Counseling
Seniors who applied to college via the Common Application must complete the Mid-Year Transcript request form so we can send updated grades to the colleges. Forms are available in Counseling.
Register for the SAT prep class offered at CB on March 14th and 21st leading up the March exam at CB or register for the May prep course ahead of the June weekend exam
SAT registration for the School Day exam is now available for the March 24th school-day exam. Registration must be done directly through this link provided by CB Weekend exam registration must be completed on the College Board website at sat.org
California Scholarship Federation (CSF) forms are available to students in the sophomore, junior, and senior classes in the Counseling Center Forms are due by 3 p m on Friday, January 23rd No late forms will be considered. Contact Ms. McClellan with any questions.
Counselors are going into all history classrooms this month to talk about classes for next year. Students will receive a Pre-Registration planning form that requires a parent signature More information to come!

Theatre Showcase: The Theatre Dept presents the annual CB Theatre Showcase, one night only on February 6th at 7 p.m. All tickets are $5, sold in advance via the Ticket Hub on the CB website. The showcase is a selection of songs, scenes, monologues and the one act play, LITTLE EXTREMES, in an 80 minute program that will then complete at the Lenaea High School Theatre Festival at Folsom Lake College
CB Thrift Shop - School dress code clothing is needed! The following dress code clothing is requested to replenish and serve our students for the CB Thrift Shop, Spring Semester: CBHS /college sweatshirts, polo shirts, CB logo shirts, PE shirts and shorts Donations may be dropped off in the Front Office Please refer to the Dress Code guidelines in the Parent Handbook for more details
