JANUARY 2024 SPRING SEMESTER

CHRISTIAN BROTHERS HIGH SCHOOL • ENTER TO LEARN, LEAVE TO SERVE

FALCON FAMILY NEWS “The star did not appear to the Magi in vain, for this sight caused them to receive the grace of God, and it made the day a day of salvation for them because they showed themselves most faithful to the divine inspiration. Are we attentive to the inspirations we receive from God?” Meditation 96.1, St. John Baptist de la Salle Happy New Year Falcon Family! I pray that you have had a wonderful Christmas break full of new memories, and hopefully some time to relax and rejuvenate in preparation for the new year. As I reflect on the past semester, I am full of gratitude for the genuine expression of welcome I have felt as the new principal. There have been so many moments of joy, a few moments of pain, and always opportunities to grow. I had always admired from a distance the beauty of the Christian Brothers community, and having now experiencing it firsthand, I am so grateful to have been called to be a member of this Lasallian family. As we prepare for the Feast of the Epiphany, St. John Baptist de la Salle reminds us that we can learn from the Magi, who trusted and followed the star to the manager to be inspired by an infant, who is our Lord and Savior, Jesus. Like the Magi, we must trust and be attentive to inspirations we receive from God so that we can become the person God created us to be.

A Message From the Principal

What inspiration might God be providing to you as we enter this new year? Is there a call to try a new activity, jump into a new service opportunity, maybe explore a new academic subject when you register for classes next year? Whatever it maybe, know that we are all encouraged to pay attention to the way God is moving in our lives, and how He is calling us to continue to push ourselves, expand our horizons, and find new ways to serve one another. We are eager to welcome you all back to campus for the start of what will be a fantastic semester of learning, growing, cheering on teams and performances, picking colleges for our Seniors, and so many other exciting memories to be made. There is never a dull moment on our campus, and we invite you all to jump in to share your gifts and talents and to make the very most of our time together! Live Jesus in our hearts, forever!
