Catalina Leiva Argandoña (1995, Chile) is an outstanding Chilean volleyball player whose sports career began at the age of 16 when she was called up as a youth reinforcement by the Ibero-American University of Science and Technology to compete in the Chilean First Division volleyball in 2012 (Women's A1 League). Her talent and dedication led her to enter, in 2015, through a sports quota at the School of Architecture of the University of Santiago de Chile, where she was part of the volleyball team and actively participated in the Higher Education Sports League (LDES).

In addition to her university participation, Catalina ventured into the Beach Volleyball Circuit (CVP) in the cities of Viña del Mar and Guanaqueros, Chile. Her skill and versatility on the court attracted attention again in 2018 when she was called up as a reinforcement for CSD Colo-Colo in the Women's A1 League.

Her commitment to sports and academic excellence was evident in 2019 when she received a scholarship from the Montevideo Group of Universities Association (AUGM) to participate in an exchange program at the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP) in Sao Paulo, Brazil, where she continued to train with the brazilian university volleyball team.

In 2022, Catalina returned to the CSD Colo-Colo team to continue strengthening her volleyball skills. However, her contribution was not limited to this team. In the 2023/24 season, she was called up to reinforce Stadio Italiano with the aim of helping the team ascend from the second division (A2 League) to the first division (A1 League), an objective that was achieved with honors, and then to participate in the first division with the same team and achieve the desired results.

The most outstanding aspect of Catalina Leiva Argandoña as an athlete is her ability to face challenges, adapt to different teams and contexts, and her commitment to both sports and excellence and discipline. Her legacy in Chilean volleyball is a testament to her talent, dedication, and passion for the game.
