Hello everyone, my name is Skyler Booker and this is Stirfry, the Angus king of our farm’s culinary kingdom. I’ve spent countless hours working with this majestic beast, and let me tell you, he’s not just a steer; he’s a furry, four-legged work of art….or maybe a really big, tasty piece of art. But why should you, the refined buyer, choose Stirfry? Well for starters, he’s not your average steer. He’s got a heart of gold, a twinkle in his eye (and maybe a bit of mud), and a secret recipe for the best beef you have ever tested. He’s been grazing on the most nutritious feed, and getting pampered by yours truly. He’s basically the Wagyu of steers, but with a touch more… farm-fresh flavor.
Hi, my name is Ethan Gaboury. This is my third year being a member of the Northern Spirit 4-H Club. I’m in two projects – beef and mechanics. This year I have a Simmental/Charolais cross steer named Mr. Krabs. I have worked over the year to make him calm, and feeding him to be very tasty. I hope you will be able to check out Mr. Krabs at our show in June, and maybe even make a bid on him. He is thick, meaty, and ready for the barbeque. I’m sure he will not disappoint.
Hi, my name is Cameron Gaboury. I am 11 years old and this is my third year in 4-H. This is my steer Squidward. He is ¾ Simmental and ¼ Charolais. I like my steer because he is calm and easy to handle. He has a straight topline, a long body and a big bubble butt. His name may be Squidward, but there is no squid – he is all beef!
My name is Casi Lepage and this is my steer “Timer”. This is my second year in 4-H and my first year having a market steer. I am so excited for the show this year!
Hi, my name is Cara Lepage. My steer ’s name is “Knuckles” and I love him so much. I am 7 years old. I can’t wait to show a big animal for the first time!
Hello, my name is Kiara Duhaime. This is my third year in 4-H and my second year serving as President of the Northern Spirit Club. This year, I’m proud to present my Market Steer, Plankton a purebred Simmental. He’s well-finished, correct, and would make an excellent addition to your freezer. 4-H continues to be an incredibly rewarding experience for me. In addition to working with my steer and cow/calf pair, I had the honour of representing Saskatchewan at the 4-H Members Forum in Toronto. I also recently attended the AGM in Saskatoon as a voting delegate for District 33. With Achievement Day approaching, I’m excited to offer Plankton for your consideration. Thank you for supporting the Northern Spirit 4-H Club!
Hello, my name is Mya Duhaime, and this is my second year as a member of 4-H. I’m excited to present my purebred Simmental market steer, Patrick, on Achievement Day, and to showcase the dedication and effort that has gone into raising him. This year in 4H has been rewarding in so many ways. I’ve had the chance to be part of the curling team, contribute to organizing successful fundraisers, and see the transformation of both my steer and my heifer as they have grown over the months. The hard work, time, and commitment will surely be evident on the BBQ this summer if you purchase this steer.
My name is Avarie Conacher, I am 17 years old and this is my 11th year in 4-H. I am here to introduce you to my black angus steer named Gary! Over the years, I have enjoyed being a part of the beef, sheep, and baking projects. 4-H has always been an outlet for me to learn and grow which is one of the many reasons I love being a member. My other interests include competitive curling, playing guitar, and going to 4-H judging competitions. I qualified for judging provincials which I will be attending in the summer! With that being said, I look forward to showing my hard work off on achievement day and I hope you will be there to see it and maybe even place a bid on him!
Hi! My name is Ciara Conacher. This is my eighth year in the Northern Spirit 4-H Club. My steer’s name is Bob the Sponge. He is a Black Angus steer. I hope he will “sponge” the money out of your bank account!
Hi, my name is Tenille Rose. This is my second year in the Sheep club. My sheep’s name is Starlight. I named my sheep Starlight because she has a stripe on her head and she looks like a starlight.
Hi, my name is Kenny Page and this is my second year in 4H Sheep. This year my sheep's name is Penelope, or Penny for short. She is so cute! She is white with a black dot between her shoulders. She loves her cuddles and can be really stubborn! I love her!
Hi my name is Lauren Freeman and this is my second year in 4H. My lamb’s name is Lil Billy Bob and he has the softest wool that I love to pet. I am very excited to show him this year!
Hi my name is Amaya Freeman and this is my very first year in 4-H. My adorable little lamb’s name is Snowy. She gives the best cuddles and is super smart. We’ve learned a lot of new skills this year that we’re super excited to show at our achievement day!
My name is Micah I am 12 years old, this is my first year of 4H. I named my sheep Buster. I picked him because he is big and meets the qualifications for a 4H sheep. I am enjoying learning about sheep in 4H.
Hi my name is Jessa; this is my first year in 4H. I am almost 10 years old my birthday is June 4th. My sheep's birthday is January 6th; she is very fluffy. I named her Lucky, I like walking her on a halter.
Hello my name is Aria; I'm seven years old and this is my first year of 4H. I named my sheep Bob because he is very fluffy and cute. I like petting him because he reminds me of a fluffy blanket. I like leading her on a halter, I love my sheep.
Hi my name is Svea and this is my first year in 4-H. My lamb’s name is Fernando. I like to pet her and lead her with a halter. I am looking forward to showing her at achievement day.
Hi my name is Nyah Hart. This is my first year in 4-H. My lamb’s name is Gary. I like to pet his curly hair and lead him around. I am excited to show him in the ring!
Hi, my name is Coleby. This is my seventh year in 4H. This year I’ll be showing a cow calf and a heifer. My cow’s name is Sugar along with her calf Cane and my heifer’s name is Pepper and I’m excited to show them.
Hi, my name is Charlotte Cronin, and this is my first official year in 4-H! Although I’ve attended every meeting and group event I could over the past three years, I’m thrilled to finally be a member. This year, I’m showing a first-year heifer calf named Sandy Cheeks. She’s a Simmental, and I chose her because her mom is very calm and doesn’t mind me spending time working with Sandy. I’m really excited to show everyone all my hard work on Achievement Day.
Hello, my name is Alexis Panchuk and this is my second year in 4-H! This year I have a heifer named Georgia and a current year calf named Ray! My favourite thing about 4-H is leading my calf around and bottle feeding him! I am excited for this year and learning new things!
Hi, my name is Tenille Rose and this is my 4th year in 4-H. This year I will be showing my heifer Nugget. I’m looking forward to show Nugget at the big show.
