Welcome to the 3rd Annual Diamond R Stock Farms Bull & Select Bred Commercial Female Sale with Guest Cudmore Farms.
What an incredible set of coming yearling and two-year old bulls that Diamond R has assembled for the 3rd edition of their bull sale. It is a true testament to the cattlemen that they are, when you can see the quality and consistency across not 1, not 2 but 3 different breeds. Whether it is an Angus, Charolais or Simmental bull that you are on the hunt for, yearling or two-year-old, this sale has it.
The commercial bred females featured in this sale are just that, select. They are selected right from the top of their replacement pen, which as you can see, is a true testament to the quality of their replacement and foundation females in their commercial program. From solids to blazes and brockles, you can find those bred females that will certainly be a welcome addition to any herd, featured in this sale. The lots are beautifully matched up into type/kind/colour, with each lot containing 2-3 females that are consistent in quality and compliment one another. They are truly foundation females that you can build a herd on.
Once again, they have invited Cudmore Farms back to consign a few lots of elite select bred heifers to the female part of the sale. Cudmore Farms is a many time repeat bull buyer of Diamond R, and Brad & Jayne felt that they would be a welcome addition to their sale and appreciate the quality of heifers they consign to this sale.
If questions arise as you’re studying the catalogue about any of the lots featured in the sale, please do not hesitate to call. Stay tuned for videos of the offering which will be available for viewing on www.wrightlivestockmarketing.com so you can see for yourself how deep the quality of this sale’s offering is. Any of the sale staff listed in the catalogue would be happy to assist you if you are needing any help or wish to participate in the sale over the phone. The DLMS crew will have the online sale broadcast for those who wish to participate online. Of course, if you are in the area, the hospitality, meal and sale atmosphere is fantastic, and we would love to have you join us. Your interest and support of this sale is greatly appreciated.
Hope to see you sale day,

Together with Dusty Rose Cattle we purchased some embryos at New Years Resolution. Being a Natural Law out of the famous Werner Black Angel cow was exciting. We knew he would have an impact and that he did! Gomez was the Senior Bull Calf Champion at Manitoba Ag Ex in 2019. Performance is his name of the game however his females really shine, beautifully designed and you will notice bulls in this sale are out of Gomez daughters! Brad believes the Gomez females are some of the best females to ever produce here so far! However, his sons are balanced individuals that will sire those great females and eye appealing steers! The kids used Gomez on their Black White-Faced females with excellent results! He will be utilized in our small AI program for years to come!

WKJ Jeter 4J was an in-dam purchase from Edwards Angus at the Harvest Classic in Moose Jaw. Brad purchased his dam, and we haven’t stopped hearing about it since! Right Larissa? All jokes aside, at 74 lbs at birth, Jeter wasted no time man did he grow! He is a son of the popular Musgrave 316 Colossal 137. His dam, 392G, is a great little cow and produces attractive calves with lots of rib shape and calving ease. There is longevity in this pedigree! We sold half interest to Leaning Spruce Stock Farms (the Shearers). Jeter has bred in 2 herds every year and he maintains his body condition regardless of the time of year!

Circle G Korona 65K
The search for a Simmental heifer bull led us to Korona! Darnell Fornwald checked him out for us and highly recommended this calving ease specialist. His birthweight was 74 lbs, with an adjusted weaning weight of 909 lbs which puts him in the TOP 2% calving ease and Top 3% birth weight of the Simmental breed! He calved heifers flawlessly along with some selected cows. The bull calves seem to have some grow and the heifer calves look great! Korona’s sons were very well received at last year’s sale!

Krush was purchased from Double F Cattle Co for $16,000. Jayne found this true curve bender as we were looking for a great cross for the Gomez females. He boasts a 69 lb birthweight, a 914 lb adjusted weaning weight and a 1623 lb adjusted yearling weight. He ranks in the TOP 15% for Calving Ease, Top 20% Birthweight, Top 2% Weaning Weight and TOP 1% Yearling Weight in the breed!
Those are some pretty nice numbers if you follow EPDs. We utilize EPDs as a guide only, however these numbers have proven themselves in his first two calf crops! The heifer calves are truly exciting, and the bull calves can speak for themselves! His pedigree combines some of the great Hamilton Farms breeding, RoyMac breeding and the famed Toner Atalanta cow family.

ZSL Tillman 127H was the high selling bull at the Spring Lake Bull Sale at $35,000. We were fortunate to purchase the shared walking rights on this gentle giant! Tillman has an exceptional foot and it carries on to his offspring! The length he adds to his calves is second to none! We have bred Tillman to purebred cows and commercial cows. The pay weight on those steers was exceptional, as high as 824lbs. His females are exciting having calved some, they look to have a long future ahead of them.

140L was purchased from Wallgrens’ in Alberta solely for his maternal strength, having quite possibly the best two Red Simmental females in the breed in his pedigree. His dam is none other than WFL Red Sage 506C. She is currently the #1 female in the Simmental breed with the most progeny. His Paternal grandmother is IRCC Darlin 613D. Her progeny has taken the
breed by storm. In looking for a new bull, it only made sense to us to try and get these 2 maternal greats in one pedigree!! In his own right 140 L ranks in the top 25% of the breed in calving ease and birth weight. He is 1% in weaning weight and 3% yearling weight. We are pleased with his first crop of calves, so much so that he will see heavy use next year.

Delco 262J was the high selling bull at Palmer Charolais for $20,500. He was purchased for his Duty-Free pedigree and his very complete phenotype! Delco is so easy to be around and work with and that means a lot around here! Duty-Free cattle have taken the Charolais world by storm with their performance and do ability! Delco ranks TOP 10% weaning and the TOP 2%
yearling weight in the breed! Although few in numbers, we are anxiously waiting to calve out his daughters this upcoming calving season!

We are proud to present to you this group of bred heifers.
We take a lot of time and effort in the selection of herdsires. We look for a bull with loads of maternal in his pedigree. As we do not AI a bunch, when we purchase a bull, he gets used, and if his daughters meet our criteria… he gets used a lot! The females on offer represent our commercial base and a lot of our purebred genetics. As you will see, we believe in hybrid vigour! This year you will also see some comments on the pens, we are that proud of these girls!
Heifers were exposed April 30th to June 30th. Heifers were preg checked on August 1st via ultrasound. Preg checked by Head for the Hills Vet Services. Confirmed Pregnant at time of preg check.

DKF Racer 39H aka GITCH
Red DKF Racer 39H, a.k.a GITCH, was purchased after attending a Saskatchewan Angus tour in the summer of 2019. We were so impressed that day with the display at DKF Angus, we knew our next Red Angus heifer bull was coming from there. This bull is as phenotypically correct as you can make them. A bonus was to see Final Answer in the pedigree, making his females the keeper kind! He is very easy to work with, which is a must here! He has calved heifers very successfully for the last 4 calving seasons, and the best part is they grow!!

Standard Hill Blazer 34M - co-owned with Standard Hill Livestock
Blazer 34M came to us via Col. Ryan Hurlburt. Ryan knew we were looking for another black heifer bull and thought this guy just might do the trick. He is eye appealing and is super quiet. We put all our Black Heifers and the kids put in their black white-faced heifers with him. We are pretty excited to say the least.

Moncrief 15M aka Ross came highly recommended for calving ease by Shane Blake. He has a 72 lb birth weight and was the lead off Angus bull in their bull sale this spring. These calves should come real easy!

This home raised bull has really impressed us and we simply had to keep him for ourselves. Bash (and yes there is a story) is sired by the 2018 CWA Grand Champion Simmental Bull, Swan Lake Red Circuit 28D. We were pleased to be able to walk 28D for a breeding season here and he left us some wonderful calves. 178H’s deep red color and excellent foot made him an easy decision to breed him to some commercial cows. If you like the “meat and potatoes” type of bull here he is!
Justice came to us via Poplar Meadows Angus. Tanya offered up a package of 3 embryos that just happened to be full sibs to Executive Decision. The mating was one Jayne couldn’t resist, Natural Law 52Y x PM Blossom 124’13. We sure lucked out getting all 3 calves. In fact, his full sister is the dam to WKJ 41M in the 2-year-old bull section. One bull sold to N7 Stock Farms, and we retained this guy! He was called up to replace Gomez and did a great job. Look for his bulls next year in the sale! We unfortunately lost this bull due to a shoulder injury after pulling bulls.

In watching Ag Ex 2022, we decided to see how the neighbour was doing in the Hereford show. Our mouths dropped as Chad led in this amazing 2-year-old female. Brad instantly said I want females to look like that!!! We followed her to Agribition where the pair ended up in the Top 10 in the Supreme. 20K, aka Willy, has done what we have asked with the extra bonus of calving ease and adding those wonderful Hereford markings to the heifers. All the red daughters of this bull are in the offering today, even though it has caused weekly harsh debates.
