22 ND ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP DINNER

CELEBRATING 95 YEARS OF LASALLIAN TRADITION

Cathedral High School celebrated its 22nd Annual Scholarship Dinner on Friday, December 13, 2019. This annual event hosted at the Annex on Hollywood & Highland has continued to grow with the support of our great friends and corporate sponsors. Funds raised from this event help provide scholarships for committed students from predominantly low-income working families.

On this night we acknowledged our honorees for their commitment and support of Catholic education and the Cathedral community. Most Reverend Archbishop Jose H. Gomez was honored for his leadership and tireless efforts advocating for compassion on issues affecting immigrant families. We recognize the determination of Jules Buenabenta, a great example for our students. His is a story of hard work and perseverance. His efforts to help future generations of Phantoms through his philanthropic giving is exemplary. Lastly a current faculty member, Gary Bertolone ‘73 is a great example for our students and school community. He has served the Cathedral community for over forty years in numerous capacities, his support for Cathedral has never wavered.

Annual Scholarship Dinner was a great success. The funds raised surpassed those of previous years. Cathedral and its students appreciate the support of all of its corporate partners, surrounding business community, alumni and individual sponsors.
