PHANTOM PERSEVERANCE Class of 2020
The Cathedral High School Class of 2020 ventured forward through a historical time in America. With schools being closed in mid-March because of the COVID-19 pandemic the tradition of

prom, grad night, the senior awards assembly, and senior ditch day were not celebrated. The senior members demonstrated a lot of persistence as they completed their academic studies remotely. The Class of 2020 numbered 154 members and the great news is all members earned their diploma! We are so proud of the class which culminated the 94 th commencement in Cathedral’s history.
The Class of 2020 while at Cathedral lived the motto of Lasallian schools “Enter to Learn” and are now ready to “Leave to Serve”. The academic achievements of Cathedral’s 94th graduating class are exemplified by the universities and colleges to which they have been accepted. Members of this year’s graduating class have been admitted to various colleges and universities across the United States including M.I.T., John Hopkins University, Princeton University, Michigan State University, University of California Los Angeles, University of San Diego, University of Southern California, Pepperdine University, St. Mary’s College, Willamette University and many others. Cathedral High School is pleased to congratulate the Class of 2020.

On Friday, July 17 th in a historical move, Cathedral honored the senior Class of 2020 by hosting a Drive-Up Ceremony. It was a wonderful day that allowed the seniors and their families to return to campus, walk on to the stage and receive their diploma from Principal Brother John Montgomery and President Martin Farfan, while following the social distancing guidelines. For many seniors it was the first time back to campus since the closure in March. The faculty, staff and administrators were overjoyed to have been able to make this graduation a memorable one! To the Class of 2020, congratulations and remember Once a Phantom, always a Phantom!
