Casualplay: over 45 years behind a smile Play S.A is a family owned company that designs, manufactures and markets pushchairs and child restraint systems. Founded in 1966 and located in Barcelona, we are a leading company in the children’s market in Spain. Our car seats are proof of this (that have received awards from the German institute ADAC –among others- for their excellent features) as well as our pushchairs that combine practicality and design, making them the obvious choice for modern parents. We have been in the industry for over 45 years and we are especially known for our excellent value for money. It has always been our goal to be different and better. This attitude has made CASUALPLAY the most renowned brand in Spain and synonymous with innovation design and safety.

Esta garantía del dominio total de los procesos de nuestras actividades, hace que entidades de renombre como el equipo de investigadores de Cátedra Applus, los laboratorios de ensayos Autoliv, el club Automovilístico RACE o la Dirección General de Tráfico nos hayan solicitado en diversas ocasiones como colaboradores en sus proyectos. Trabajamos sólo con materiales de la más alta calidad, ligeros pero muy resistentes, tejidos suaves, transpirables y muy agradables al tacto. We have our own laboratories to test the quality and safety of our products from the moment they are first thought of right through to when they are manufactured. This guarantee of total control of our business processes, has led to several renowned institutions such as the Applus research team, the Autoliv testing laboratories, the RACE Automobile Club or the Traffic Department asking us to collaborate in several of their projects. Los sistemas de retención son claves en la seguridad infantil en caso de accidente de tráfico. Los accidentes de tráfico son la causa más frecuente de lesiones múltiples y mortalidad en los niños, pero, con el uso de los Sistemas de Retención Infantil (SRI), podemos reducir mucho su incidencia, ya que estos elementos de retención, adecuadamente utilizados, reducen y distribuyen las fuerzas del propio accidente, de manera que la probabilidad de que se produzcan lesiones es muy inferior. Con los SRI se evita que el niño se salga de su habitáculo, total o parcialmente; se reduce la energía que puede llegar a recibir el niño en un choque (las posibles lesiones son el resultado de esta energía) y se ayuda a distribuir la energía por la estructura del Sistema de retención, de modo que se reduce la probabilidad de lesiones en el cuerpo del niño. Los SRI deben usarse desde el primer desplazamiento del recién nacido, nada más salir del hospital.

Restraint systems are essential for children’s safety in the event of a traffic accident. Traffic accidents are the most common cause of multiple injuries and child mortality, but, with the use of Child Restraint Systems (CRS), we can greatly reduce the consequences, since, when used correctly, these restraint elements reduce and distribute the forces of the actual accident, so that the chances of being injured are much lower. Using a CRS prevents the child from leaving his place, totally or partially; the energy that the child may receive in an accident is reduced (the possible injuries are caused as a result of this energy) and the structure of the restraint system help to distribute this energy, thereby reducing the chances of the child getting injured. The CRS should be used right from the baby’s very first journey, as soon as he leaves hospital.
