Course overview
How will I be assessed?
This one year course will teach you the complex painting and decorating skills ready for use on site, and an insight into supervisory situations. This course could lead to employment in the construction industry at an advanced level including the possibility of a supervisory role, or further study towards a degree in construction.
You will be assessed through practical units, phase tests and online exams for each unit.
What will I learn?
Entry requirements You will need a minimum of two GCSEs at grade 4 or above in Maths and English and successful completion of the Diploma Level 2 as this gives you the skills required to achieve the Level 3.
You will cover a wide range of topics including: • Advanced preparation techniques • High quality water and oil based painting by brush and roller • Advanced wall coverings • Gilding • Coving and artexing • Airless spray painting and decorative techniques (broken colour work, graining, marbling, murals and advanced stencilling)

Course overview
How will I be assessed?
This qualification focuses on fundamental plumbing practical skills and knowledge. Successful completion of the course will give you an understanding of the core skills and knowledge required by a plumber working within the industry. You could move on to the Level 2 Diploma or NVQ if employed in the industry.
You are continually assessed through practical assignments and course work.
Entry requirements You will need a minimum of four GCSEs at grade 3 including English and Maths.
What will I learn? You will learn a wide range of skills including: • Measuring • Cutting • Bending and jointing of pipework including copper, plastic and steel
