This is far from the case with CarsGuide and our array of consumer segment-focused site sections which now include FamilyGuide, TradieGuide, AdventureGuide, UrbanGuide, and EVGuide. These are all supported by ExpertGuide, which is typically where you’ll find our initial coverage of a new model. Given how often new cars span a spectrum of buyer appeal, we commonly find ourselves covering the same car across multiple site sections to cater to specific segment requirements.

An excellent example of this is the hugely popular light commercial ute segment, with the current crop tending to suit the core professional user better than ever, while doing the same on weekend adventures and general family use. There’s also no shortage of them spending 9-5 in urban areas, with some clear winners and losers when it comes to tight parking situations and slow-speed driving manners.
One recent example of this spectrum is our coverage of the new Isuzu D-Max, where we covered the entire range in great detail from launch in ExpertGuide, before focusing on its off-road credentials in AdventureGuide, then put it through its paces with a tonne in the tray for TradieGuide, before subjecting it to the rigours of ferrying kids for FamilyGuide.
