This division led by Vice President & Division Manager, John Kitchin, fills a unique need in the industry - providing clients with services and resources of a national construction firm, while offering the accessibility, responsiveness and flexibility of a more client-focused construction partner. Partnering with Delta Air Lines, MARTA, and the world’s busiest airport, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, our planning and construction methodologies give way to flawless execution, even in the most highly traveled environments. Working with all stakeholders and drawing from experience on a wide range of projects, we offer suggestions for design modifications, the substitution of materials, and alternative construction methods to ensure cost and scheduling efficiency. EXPERIENCE Our team members have completed hundreds of small projects of various types supporting the many entities at HJAIA, including but not limited to: FIRE | LIFE SAFETY ENHANCEMENTS - CONCOURSE T Upgrades to Fire and Life Safety Systems on Concourse T, including modifications to emergency exits and exterior staircases, modifications to SACS doors and hardware, installation of new VESDA system, and installation of new mass notification system. DOMESTIC TERMINAL INTERIOR & FIRE LIFE SAFETY ENCHANCEMENTS TERMINAL HVAC UPGRADES Comprehensive replacement of all components of the HVAC system in the domestic terminal of HJAIA. The project included substantial front-end planning with the project owner to develop phasing plans that limited the interruptions to the HVAC systems and minimized the impact to the airlines and traveling public. Team members coordinated with all of the concessions and other stakeholders in the Domestic Terminal. DELTA AIR LINES | CONCOURSE B | CONSOLIDATED SKY CLUB This extremely complex project included the construction of the new flagship Sky Club for Delta Air Lines. The 25,000 SF, high-end facility is built on just four columns and spans 160 feet over Concourse B at HartsfieldJackson Atlanta International Airport without any structural connections to the existing building. The project incorporated complex structural steel, curtain wall, and glazing systems and also required detailed coordination and planning for tying in the utility systems to the existing building utilities. Team members coordinated with impacted concessions at the B Centerpoint. CONCOURSE E ROOF AND SKYLIGHT REPLACEMENT This design-build project replaced 500,000 SF of roof and over 100 skylights on Concourse E at HJAIA, as well as built new structural platforms for satellite dishes and installed cable trays throughout the concourse for coordinated cable runs. All of the work, including the significant number of material deliveries, was coordinated to eliminate impacts to planes and passengers using Concourse E. WAREHOUSE DISTRIBUTION FACILITY AUTO METAL DIRECT GAINESVILLE, GA | Auto Metal Direct, a classic car parts distributor, selected Carroll Daniel to design and build a new 318,240 SF distribution/fulfillment center and showroom in Gainesville, Georgia as part of an important local economic development initiative. As a design-builder, the Carroll Daniel team worked in close partnership with the hands-on owner to incorporate changing design elements and build in unique features, such as casting the company’s logo into the exterior wall. Built utilizing concrete tilt-wall panel construction on a greenfield site, the project overcame challenges such as significant inclement weather, unsuitable soils, and utility availability in 11 months, on time, and on budget.

ANDERSON, SC | Carroll Daniel Construction was recently selected to build a manufacturing and warehouse facility in Anderson, South Carolina for E&I Engineering to produce electrical bus bars. The facility will include a precast and insulated metal panel exterior shell over a structural steel frame with a TPO roof.

WAREHOUSE HEALTHIER CHOICE DALTON, GA | Healthier Choice is a leading supplier of highdensity carpet cushion. Carroll Daniel Construction worked in partnership with the owner to design-build the 200,000 SF light manufacturing warehouse and corporate office building. The project was designed in house by Carroll Daniel’s industrial design team. The building features an executive office suite on the mezzanine. A separate manufacturing office is located in the warehouse, which provides a secondary entrance for employees. A large shipping/receiving office is a feature that streamlines inbound and outbound deliveries and provides a driver rest area. The tilt-wall concrete and structural steel warehouse includes 20 dock doors - with room for 54 future dock doors, two roll-up door ramps, and trailer storage.

GREENPOINT INDUSTRIAL PARK POTEET PROPERTIES DALTON, GA | Carroll Daniel is partnering with the owner/ developer to deliver the Greenpoint Industrial Park in Dalton, Georgia. The completed design-build effort will result in six facilities, totaling 2 million SF of light manufacturing/warehouse space on 120 acres in the Carpet Capital of the World. The tilt wall and structural steel speculative buildings are designed by our in-house design team. Constructed simultaneously using a master schedule, the facilities include both shell and tenant improvement interior packages. Even as work continues, Greenpoint is already home to a leading manufacturer of polyurethane foam carpet cushion and flooring underlayment, as well as a top-tier producer of sports and recreational surfacing material.
