Celebrating September & October Milestones

One of my favorite things about this team is that behind every project, deadline, and long day out in the field or in the office there are people who make Carey Electric what it is. We build things together, and that includes celebrating life’s moments together too.

This fall, we’re giving a big Carey shout-out to everyone who had a birthday or work anniversary in September, October and November. These milestones matter. They’re a reminder that this company isn’t just about the work it’s about the people who show up, grow with us, and make this place better every single day.

Happy Birthday! I hope each of you took time to celebrate and do something that filled your cup.

COMPANY MEETING RECAP!

performance highlights, recognized outstanding contributions from the team, and talked through upcoming priorities as we head into the final stretch of the year.

After the meeting, the day shifted to good food, music, and a little friendly competition — including the much-anticipated Corn Hole Tournament. A big congratulations again to Isaac and Mark, our reigning champs, for holding on to their title in a close match!

It’s these moments of connection and celebration that make our company culture what it is — strong, real, and built together.

Thank you to everyone who showed up, participated, and brought great energy to the day. It’s this team spirit that carries us forward, both on and off the job.

What Grounds Us — Our Core Values & Vision

Events like this remind us why Carey Electric is more than just a place to work. It’s a team built on shared values and a clear vision of where we’re headed. These aren’t just words on a wall or slides on a screen they’re what guide how we work, lead, and build together.

Our CORE Values and Vision

At Carey Electric, our vision isn’t just a statement on paper — it’s the heartbeat behind how we work, lead, and build. It guides how we show up on our job sites, how we support each other, and how we shape the company for the next generation.

Our Core Values

Never say “CAN’T” We will figure it out and won’t bitch about it. Make Sh!t Happen Excuses are not results. We go through walls. Precision is Power — Excellence is our standard, not the exception. Process Driven. Field Smart We know when to follow and when to flex. Built Together. Backed for Life From day one to done, we’ve got you.

These aren’t just slogans they are how we operate, how we earn trust with our partners, and how we continue to grow as a team.

Our Vision

Energizing Today. Designing for Tomorrow.

Elevating a culture that is ‘Wired to Inspire.’ Building a sustainable and multi-generational company.

This vision reflects our commitment to long-term excellence — not just in the work we deliver, but in the culture we build together. We’re here to create something that lasts well beyond any single project: a company where people are proud to work, grow, and lead.

Caring for Ourselves and Each Other September & October Wellness Focus

Looking Back, Moving Forward

As we step into November, we’re taking a moment to look back on two important awareness efforts that filled the fall months Suicide Prevention Month (September) and Breast Cancer Awareness Month (October).

Even though those campaigns have wrapped up, their messages remain just as important today. At Carey Electric, we talk a lot about safety but true safety goes beyond PPE, checklists, and jobsite procedures. It’s about people. It’s about watching out for one another, taking care of ourselves, and knowing when to reach out for support

This season is a good reminder that our well-being, both physical and mental, matters every day not just when it’s printed on a calendar.

Suicide Awareness in Construction

Mental health challenges often go unseen, especially in construction, where the culture has long been one of “toughing it out.” But silence can be dangerous. Our industry has one of the highest suicide rates of any profession, which makes awareness, empathy, and action critical. We want every member of our team to remember: You are not alone

Asking for help is a sign of strength. There are confidential, free resources available whenever you need them.

If you’re struggling or notice someone who might be say something. Check in Offer a listening ear And if more help is needed, reach out to one of these resources: Call or text 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (24/7, confidential)

Your well-being matters to us No project, deadline, or task is more important than your life and your health.

October marked Breast Cancer Awareness Month a time to honor and support those whose lives have been touched by breast cancer.

Many of us have been personally affected through family, friends, coworkers, or our own experiences.

This cause goes far beyond wearing pink. It’s about awareness, early detection, and strength. Advances in screening and treatment have saved countless lives, but regular checkups and honest conversations about health are still some of the most powerful things we can do for ourselves and each other.

A diagnosis, whether your own or a loved one’s, can bring emotional, mental, and financial strain. That’s why support and community — matters so much.

Support When You Need It — Our Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

Through our partnership with Paychex, Carey Electric offers a free and confidential Employee Assistance Program (EAP) available 24/7 to employees, their spouses, domestic partners, and dependents up to age 26.

The EAP provides support for mental health, emotional well-being, financial stress, legal questions, and more — whether you’re facing a crisis or simply need someone to talk to. How to access:

 Call: 1-800-960-5371

 Visit: www.nexgeneap.com

 Company Code: PAS220

What’s included:

Free, confidential counseling referrals through NexGen EAP

Legal and financial consultations (first 30 minutes with an attorney are free)

Wellness and mindfulness programs

Personal assistant services and a pharmacy discount card

(Note: EAP services are free, but if a therapist referral uses your insurance network, standard coverage would apply.)

The EAP is here for you — whether you’re dealing with stress, supporting someone through illness, or just need a listening ear. Help is always just a call or click away.

Together, We Take Care of Our People

The past few months have reminded us that wellness isn’t a one-time focus — it’s part of who we are as a company. Taking care of ourselves and each other is just as important as meeting deadlines or hitting goals.

Let’s keep that mindset going through the rest of the year: check in on one another, take care of your health, and don’t hesitate to reach out for support.

That’s what being “Built Together – Backed for Life” really means.

Thanksgiving IS HERE!!!

As we roll into the holiday season, here’s what’s ahead at Carey Electric: Holiday Closure Announcement

We will be CLOSED on Thanksgiving Day and the day after (Black Friday) to give everyone a chance to relax, recharge and spend time with family and friends. Please plan accordingly: no field work, no office work, and enjoy the long weekend.

‘Rock the Trot’ Join Us at the Troy Turkey Trot

The Troy Turkey Trot is here, and it continues to be one of our favorite Thanksgiving traditions. It’s such a fun local event the energy downtown, families bundled up, kids running their hearts out, spectators cheering from every corner… it’s just one of those things that makes Thanksgiving morning in our area feel special

Over the years, we’ve run into so many of you out on the course, at the starting line, or hanging out afterward and we love it every time. Whether you’re running the 5K or 10K, watching your kids crush the Grade School Mile, or just swinging by the Ale House (aka the Turkey Leg!) to cheer people on, it’s always a great way to kick off the holiday.

If you’re heading out for the Trot this year, wear your Carey gear and let us know you’ll be there! It would be awesome to grab a few pictures and capture how Team Carey shows up in the community running, cheering, laughing, and starting the day off right.

Have fun, stay warm, and enjoy one of the best Thanksgiving morning traditions around. ♂

As we wrap up the fall season and look toward the home stretch of 2025, we just want to take a moment to recognize everything this team continues to accomplish. The past few months have been full — new projects launched, milestones hit, a company-wide meeting and picnic that reminded us what makes this team special, and continued progress across every part of Carey Electric.

This newsletter has captured just a snapshot of it all — from celebrating milestones and sharing personal life updates, to highlighting important reminders around wellness, awareness, and safety. Through it all, one thing remains clear: it’s the people that make the difference.

As we head into the holidays and close out the year, let’s keep that momentum going — finish strong, stay connected, and take care of ourselves and each other.

Thank you for everything you bring to this company every single day. Here’s to a strong finish to 2025 — and an even brighter year ahead.
