We offer individual consultations and group activities to:

BECOMING INNOVATORS
We guide you through a unique orientation and discovery path focused on the role of Innovators in its many forms. After an individual consultation with a Career Advisor, the “Am I an Innovator?” program helps you explore various career paths in innovation. You’ll be guided in choosing between Start-up Bootcamp, Company Bootcamp, PhD Shadowing, and Innovation Sessions.
AN ORIENTATION PODCAST
We’ve also created a podcast called MY TURN, designed for you as you enter the job market. In 6 episodes, we discuss key topics for those seeking their path. · GROUP ASSESSMENT
Have a mock interview conducted by real company assessors, to realise which ‘soft’ skills are most in demand, learn about your strengths and simulate a real selection process. The assessment test consists in a three-hour group discussion and individual case, in which assessors observe your soft skills. You will then have to do a self-assessment and receive one-to-one feedback directly from the company assessors. This selection method is widespread in companies. It is used to assess candidates, identify their potential and aptitudes in order to decide on hiring or planning career growth.
· MEET YOUR CAREER ADVISOR
Get tips on how to best design your CV highlighting your strengths, have a mock interview before your first job interview, get to know the sectors, roles and skills required by the job market! Throughout the semester you will be able to meet Career Advisors and you can also book yourself in for one of the 30 scheduled meetings for the “Career Advisor online with Company HR” activity to interact one-to-one with a company HR representative.

Receive valuable advice from architects and industry professionals on how to present your portfolio effectively to companies and studios. This personalized orientation and consulting service provides useful guidance on technical and design aspects, as well as on the graphic and illustrative presentation of your portfolio. Each consulting session is one-on-one and can take place either on campus or online.

Discover the program: TEF Ignition
Do you have a tech idea and want to challenge yourself in the world of innovation? TEF Ignition is the perfect opportunity to start building something concrete.
Eligibility requirement: to apply, you must have already completed the Innovator Interview.
TEF Ignition is a 7-week intensive program, organized by Tech Europe Foundation and open to students from Politecnico di Milano and Università Bocconi.
Throughout the journey you will:
· develop your tech idea
· work with experienced mentors
· access a €2,000 budget to experiment
· follow dedicated e-learning sessions
· join mentor-led workshops
· present your project in a final pitch to a jury
A total of 50 teams from Politecnico and 50 teams from Bocconi will be selected. Among them, up to 15 teams will have the chance to showcase their idea at the Demo Day and compete for the TEF Awards. More info here
Switch2Product - Innovation Challenge
Do you have a scientific, technological, or entrepreneurial project and are looking for funding to launch it and turn it into a startup? Switch2Product (S2P) is the entrepreneurial empowerment program designed by Politecnico di Milano to enhance research projects and foster technology transfer.
Team participation: applications are only accepted in groups of at least 2 people. Teams may include external members, but at least one participant must be affiliated with Politecnico di Milano.
With S2P you will have the opportunity to:
· receive cash grants of up to €30,000 to grow your idea

CAREER MENTORING FOR WOMEN WITH STARTUPPERS
Are you a female student or PhD candidate at Politecnico di Milano aspiring to found a startup?
This project aims to guide you in developing the essential soft skills needed to successfully lead an innovative project. Through the mentoring program, you will gain awareness and preparation regarding the challenges women face in the startup world.
During 4 meetings, you will develop the entrepreneurial skills necessary to start a startup, tackling key topics such as female leadership, negotiation, resource management, networking, resilience, proactiveness in seeking investments and risk-taking

CAREER LUNCH
A great opportunity to connect directly with managers and professionalsall Polimi alumni - and hear about their real-life work experiences. The event starts with a 30-minute smart lunch for informal networking, followed by short company talks about projects, career paths, and required skills.
HR TIPS: YOUR FIRST 90 DAYS ON THE JOB
Find out what really happens in the first months after graduating. In short 15-minute talks, companies will explain how they onboard new hires, introduce you to graduate programs, and share useful tips for starting your career off right. Each talk ends with time for your questions, with input from HR reps and/or technical staff ready to share concrete experiences.
GROUP MENTORING WITH ALUMNI
Join informal small group sessions with young Polimi alumni working as managers and professionals. Ask them direct questions about the working world: What skills are most in demand? How should you shape your academic path? What’s life in a company really like, and how do they tackle new challenges?
DEEP DIVE
Follow a series of company talks focused on innovative projects and the skills needed to join their teams. After the presentations, interact directly with company managers and consultants.
GUESS MY JOB
Discover the roles of company representatives through clues. Listen to their anonymous presentations and, based on the hints provided, try to guess their exact job title and role.
CAREER COMPETITION
Work in a team to compete against others in a challenge designed to test your skills. You’ll develop a project related to different fields and improve your soft skills like teamwork and time management. These exercises reflect real-world challenges you might face in your future career.
CONSULTANT PROFILE: CRACK THE TECHNICAL CASE
A 4-part event series where each session features a different consulting company. Experts will guide you through a hands-on technical case simulation that you’ll solve dynamically and interactively.
CAREER SIMULATION
An innovative format where you’ll tackle real challenges companies face every day. Using specific tools, you’ll work on solving problems and developing projects related to specific technologies - simulating their real-world application.
CAREER EXPERIENCE
Join an interactive experience where you’ll work closely with company representatives and participate in a variety of activities: video presentations, tool simulations, role-playing, and case studies. A unique chance to experience firsthand how innovation projects are designed and developed across different industries.
COMPANY TOURS
An actual field trip! Visit the headquarters of various companies and discover their working environments up close. These visits include both company presentations and moments of direct dialogue and networking with staff. This semester, you’ll have the chance to take a closer look at different sectors thanks to three types of tours: Consulting Company Tours, Electronics Sector Tours, Designers in Tour to understand the roles and responsibilities of designers in different professional contexts.

In the podcast there are no lectures by experts. Instead, each episode features a conversation involving two students from Politecnico di Milano just like you, who have the opportunity to talk with an expert HR manager, ask questions and seek advice on a specific topic.
