We offer activities starting from your undergraduate degree. We support you during your master’s degree program. And we keep an eye on you even after graduation! It’s important to develop strong self-awareness to determine if you’re heading in the right direction. How do we help you achieve this?
CAREER DEVELOPMENT
We offer individual consultations and group activities to:
· Understand and strengthen your soft skills (mock interviews with HR professionals)
· Identify your skills, passions, talents, and values, and learn how to communicate them
· Prepare tools to effectively present your profile in the job market (writing and revising your CV)
Who will you meet? HR professionals and assessors, corporate mentors or Career Service advisors.
MEETINGS WITH COMPANIES
Participate in daily online and on-campus meetings with companies to:
· Hear firsthand accounts of professional roles
· Understand industry trends and the activities engineers, architects and designers perform in companies

· Speak directly with managers, often Polimi alumni

AM I AN... INNOVATOR?
We guide you through a unique orientation and discovery path focused on the role of Innovators in its many forms. After an individual consultation with a Career Advisor, the “Am I an... Innovator?” program helps you explore various career paths in innovation. You’ll be guided in choosing between Start-up Bootcamp, Company Bootcamp, PhD Shadowing, and Innovation Sessions.
AN ORIENTATION PODCAST
We’ve also created a podcast called “My Turn”, designed for you as you enter the job market. In 6 episodes, we discuss key topics for those seeking their path. These aren’t typical lessons but rather practical advice and concrete tips from experts who engage in conversations with Polimi students, just like you.

ASSESSMENT CENTER
A space dedicated to you! You can find us at the Leonardo Campus and at the Bovisa Campus. Step in to get ready for the world of work with enhanced awareness! Come and discover the services we offer to assist you in exploring career opportunities, better identifying your skills, making informed decisions about your professional path, receiving advice for crafting your CV, and simulating an interview. What actually happens in this space?
· GROUP ASSESSMENT: have a mock interview conducted by real company assessors, to realise which ‘soft’ skills are most in demand, learn about your strengths and simulate a real selection process. The assessment test consists in a three-hour group discussion and individual case, in which assessors observe your soft skills. You will then have to do a self-assessment and receive one-to-one feedback directly from the company assessors. This selection method is widespread in companies. It is used to assess candidates, identify their potential and aptitudes in order to decide on hiring or planning career growth.
· MEET YOUR CAREER ADVISOR: get tips on how to best design your CV highlighting your strengths, have a mock interview before your first job interview, get to know the sectors, roles and skills required by the job market! Throughout the semester you will be able to meet Career Advisors and you can also book yourself in for one of the 30 scheduled meetings for the “Career Advisor online with Company HR” activity to interact one-to-one with a company HR representative.
· IMPROVE YOUR PERSONAL BRANDING: enhance your personal branding for the job market, an unmissable opportunity to improve your online reputation and strengthen your presence on social media and beyond! Meet HR representatives and corporate communication experts to discover the best practices for optimizing your LinkedIn profile and identify strategies to increase its visibility and professionalism online.
· PORTFOLIO CHECK FOR ARCHITECTS: receive valuable advice from architects and industry professionals on how to present your portfolio effectively to companies and studios. This personalized orientation and consulting service provides useful guidance on technical and design aspects, as well as on the graphic and illustrative presentation of your portfolio. Each consulting session is one-on-one and can take place either on campus or online.

A space for you to get informed on internships: you can find us at the Leonardo Campus and the Bovisa Campus. Come meet us to understand how to find the best internship for you and how to activate it. What actually happens in this space? You can drop by during opening hours without needing an appointment. You’ll have the opportunity to meet with your Internship Advisor, either for individual counseling or simply to get answers to your specific questions.
· MEET YOUR INTERNSHIP ADVISOR: listen to advice on how to make the most of an internship experience, receive important information on how to search for and activate an internship, and discover the most frequently asked questions that interns pose to the Career Service during an internship. In this session, you’ll decide what you’d like to ask the experts! We’ll collect all students’ questions in advance, and during the event, company representatives will answer your queries anonymously through a random draw!

ROUND TABLE WITH COMPANIES
Hear from professionals as they share their career journeys and answer your questions about roles, skills, and career paths. This format fosters an open dialogue between different companies’ perspectives.
· GUESS MY JOB
A playful way to discover the professional roles of company representatives, clue by clue. The speakers will introduce themselves anonymously, sharing their career paths, challenges, and projects where they applied and developed their skills. Using the hints provided, you’ll have to guess their specific position.

GROUP MENTORING WITH COMPANIES
Engage in informal small-group discussions with young managers and professionals (many of whom are Politecnico alumni). You’ll have the chance to ask direct questions about the job market: What skills are in demand? How should you plan your academic choices? What’s life like in a company, and how do they face new challenges??
· CAREER TALK
Follow a series of company testimonials focused on innovative projects and the skills needed to join their teams. After the presentations, interact directly with managers and consultants.
· CAREER COMPETITION
This event is designed to test your technical and soft skills through solving a real-world task. Alongside your team, you’ll work closely with company representatives who will offer support throughout the competition. At the end, they will evaluate the proposed solutions and announce the winning projects. This is a unique opportunity to tackle real business scenarios, develop practical skills, and expand your professional network.
· CAREER SIMULATION
An innovative format where you tackle real-life cases. Using specific tools, you’ll learn how to solve problems, design, and develop projects related to a specific technology while simulating its functionality.
· CONSULTANT’S PROFILE: CRACK THE TECHNICAL CASE
A structured program of four sessions featuring different consulting companies each time. Experts will guide you through a simulation of a technical case that might arise during a selection process. You’ll collaborate with teammates and company representatives to solve the case dynamically and interactively.
· CAREER EXPERIENCE
Move between company stations, interact with technical and HR representatives, and work on various cases related to the proposed theme. Learn how to address technical challenges you might face in the workplace. Start building your professional network directly with company representatives.
· COMPANY TOURS
This event allows you to visit the headquarters of selected companies, exploring offices, laboratories, production plants, and digital hubs. During the tour, each company will present its business operations, share insights into their models and processes, and showcase innovative projects they’re working on. You’ll also have the opportunity to interact directly with technical representatives and HR managers to grow your professional network.

AI CAREER WEEK
Artificial intelligence (AI) is profoundly transforming society, revolutionizing economic, social, and technological models, and opening new professional opportunities. Developing innovative and responsible strategies for integrating AI across various fields is essential for building a sustainable and cutting-edge future.
During this week, you’ll explore emerging careers and the skills needed in AI. Through events with 30 companies, you’ll examine topics such as machine learning, AI ethics, industrial applications, advanced automation, and datadriven technology development, understanding AI’s central role in shaping tomorrow’s world.
How do we design industrial systems that incorporate new materials, protect the environment, and minimize pollutant emissions?
This week offers an opportunity to learn about new trends, explore roles, and identify job opportunities in the Green Technology and Process Industry sectors. You’ll delve into topics such as sustainability, green technology, the construction of new plants, and their environmental impact.
DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION CAREER WEEK
During this week, you’ll have the chance to discover how digital innovations are transforming businesses and industries, enhancing processes, products, and business models. Industry experts and company representatives will share insights on topics like artificial intelligence, automation, cloud computing, and business process digitalization.
Through meetings, presentations, and case studies, you’ll gain a concrete understanding of how to develop the skills needed to thrive in a fast-evolving digital environment.
An event dedicated to students and recent graduates of the AUIC School, designed to connect them with companies, professional studios and organizations in the field, apply for job opportunities, and build their professional network. This year’s edition will be special: in collaboration with the Scenography and Spatial Representation course, students will design the exhibition area, making this edition unique and innovative.
Take part in the biggest job fair dedicated to Politecnico di Milano students and graduates on May 13th , 14th and 15th. In 3 days you will meet around 290 companies and public institutions belonging to different sectors.

This podcast aims to give you the tools you need to face the job market with more awareness and competence when your turn comes.
In the podcast there are no lectures by experts. Instead, each episode features a conversation involving two students from Politecnico di Milano just like you, who have the opportunity to talk with an expert HR manager, ask questions and seek advice on a specific topic.
In six episodes you will hear about: CV and cover letter writing, networking, job hunting, public speaking, self-evaluation and negotiation.
These will not be the usual recommendations: the aim of the series is to analyse, with a fresh approach, those aspects, usually little treated, that really make a difference today.
