Every year Politecnico di Milano carries out an employment survey on graduates one year after degree completion, in order to verify the effectiveness of the educational path in the world of work and to address the right professional guidance purposes.
The 2025 survey analyze the employment situation of graduates who obtained their degree in 2023 and PhD candidates. Starting 2025, paid PhD candidates are calculated as employed.
The survey was carried out through mixed methodology (CAWI: online and CATI: phone).
The response rate to the questionnaire is defined as the ratio between the number of graduates who completed the survey and the total number of graduates who obtained their degree.
SAMPLE OF ITALIAN BACHELOR GRADUATES OF 2023
There are 1,707 graduates with a Laurea (Bachelor) who chose not to continue their studies in 2023 (29% of total BSc graduates). Among them, 1,667 gave their consent, and 979 (Males 66%; Females 34%) people answered the survey. The response rate was 59%.
SAMPLE OF ITALIAN MASTER GRADUATES OF 2023
There are 5,246 graduates with a Laurea Magistrale (Master) in 2023. Among them, 4,768 gave their consent, and 2,664 (Males 64%; Females 36%) people answered the survey. The response rate was 56%.
SAMPLE OF INTERNATIONAL MASTER GRADUATES OF 2023
There are 1,989 graduates with a Laurea Magistrale (Master) in 2023. Among them, 1,845 gave their consent, and 736 (Males 58%; Females 42%) people answered the survey. The response rate was 40%.
The survey was carried out at the beginning of 2025 through mixed methodology (CAWI: online and CATI: phone). Graduates were asked to answer a multiple choice questionnaire of about 20 questions.
