President & CEO, Chamber of Commerce of Cape Coral
As we approach a new fiscal year, the Chamber of Commerce of Cape Coral is excited to announce that applications are now open for the 2026 Board of Directors and Trustee positions. This annual initiative offers a unique opportunity for engaged members to step forward and help lead one of the region’s most dynamic and impactful organizations.
Serving on the Chamber’s Board of Directors is a rewarding opportunity that allows passionate business and community leaders to influence the Chamber’s mission and strategic goals. Trustees and directors are more than figureheads; they are the driving force behind the policies, programs, and initiatives that support Cape Coral’s thriving business environment.
Board members are expected to attend monthly meetings, participate in committees and task forces, and actively engage in networking events. The role requires dedication, with an average time commitment of 5 to 10 hours per month. Some volunteers contribute even more, investing their time and energy to make a lasting impact on the Chamber and the community.
Monthly board meetings are held on the last Tuesday of each month at 7:30 AM. These gatherings are vital touchpoints where policies are shaped, progress is reviewed, and the future of the organization is mapped out collaboratively.
The Chamber’s Nomination Committee will accept applications through July 15, 2025. Every eligible member in good standing who submits an application will be placed on the ballot, which will be presented for a vote in August and September 2025.
While the ballot will reflect all qualified applicants, the Nomination Committee will provide recommendations to the Board. These recommendations are guided by several key criteria:
Industry representation
Active participation in Chamber programs and events
Leadership in Chamber initiatives
This process ensures a balanced and effective Board that mirrors the diversity and vitality of Cape Coral’s business community.
In addition to general board seats, the Chamber is also seeking to appoint an Attorney to serve as Legal Advisor on the Board. This individual must be a duespaying member in good standing and willing to provide critical guidance on legal matters affecting the organization.
Volunteering on the Chamber Board is more than a commitment—it is an investment in the community and its future. The accomplishments of the Chamber are made possible thanks to the dedication of its volunteers. Without their service, our impact would be cut in half.
If you have the time, passion, and expertise to offer, we strongly encourage you to apply and become a part of this legacy of leadership.
For questions, please contact:
