A Note About
CELEBRATING COMMUNITY AND COMMITMENT
Each summer, Canton steps into the national spotlight. Not because we ask for it, but because we’ve earned it. As the birthplace of the NFL and the home of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, our community plays host to one of the greatest celebrations in professional sports: the Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Festival.
Now in its 62nd year, the Festival is more than a lineup of events. It’s a showcase of what makes our region special. I believe that’s two things, our people and our willingness to work together. Long before the first balloon lifts off or the first Hall of Famer walks the red carpet, our team at the Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce, alongside the Hall, begins months of planning with thousands of volunteers, sponsors, vendors and public safety partners. This is true collaboration in action, and it’s the kind of teamwork that defines who we are.
The results are remarkable. The Enshrinement Festival brings in about $43 million in economic impact each year, generating business for hotels, restaurants, retailers, gas stations and countless local services. But its true power is the way it unites business leaders and volunteers, residents and visitors, football fans and hometown loyalists. All of us come together to produce these remarkable events because we know it matters to honor
tradition, fuel economic growth and create unforgettable moments for our community.
We know these events leave an impression on our visitors. But they also leave a lasting mark on those of us lucky enough to call this place home. We hope our business community will join us in putting our best foot forward to remind everyone who comes here that Canton knows how to put on a world-class show.
There’s no formula for what makes a great community. But it always includes pride, hospitality and people who care enough to show up year after year. That’s what we have in Stark County. That’s what makes this Festival—and our region—so special.
We’ll see you out there.

Marketing Matters
MARKETING TIPS FOR BANKING AND FINANCIAL SERVICE PROVIDERS: HOW BANKS AND FINANCIAL FIRMS
CAN MARKET SMARTER RIGHT HERE AT HOME
When you’re in banking or financial services, trust is your brand’s currency. But in a world where rates fluctuate, digital apps dominate, and fintech startups multiply by the day, staying top-ofmind (and in demand) takes more than traditional marketing tactics.
Here’s the good news: As a Chamber member, you already have a built-in advantage - local credibility, business connections, and a platform for visibility. This unique position empowers you to combine smart strategy with Chamber benefits to market more effectively in this highly competitive industry. Here are five ways to leverage that advantage and move beyond basic marketing tactics.
1.
Educate to Earn Engagement
People want guidance, not jargon. Whether you’re helping first-time homebuyers, business owners navigating loans, or families planning retirement, education can be your best marketing. Host a “Money Matters” lunch-and-learn through the Chamber or offer bite-sized financial tips through workshops or newsletter contributions. Audiences are more likely to choose the provider who helped them understand their options, not just the one that advertised.
2. Build Referral Networks with Intention
Word of mouth is powerful, but relying on it casually limits growth. The Chamber includes realtors, CPAs, attorneys, and consultants, who are ideal partners for structured referral relationships. Invite a few to a referral coffee roundtable to explore opportunities for collaboration and networking. Offering joint resources or co-hosting events can lead to consistent referrals.
3. Build Community Visibility Through Service
Consumers pay attention to who shows up. Chamber events, sponsorships, and volunteer opportunities aren’t just about

goodwill. They build community presence. Consider sponsoring a financial literacy initiative or offering free credit reviews at local events. These interactions often create a stronger impression than an online ad and lead to warm introductions in the future.
4. Leverage Member-to-Member Marketing
The Chamber’s newsletter, directory, and promotional platforms offer ready-made ways to share your story. Instead of listing new services, tell a story, such as how a local entrepreneur used your business loan to grow their company. When your messaging focuses on tangible outcomes and regional impact, it not only earns attention and builds reputation but also inspires others to share their stories.
5. Be Seen in More Than a Suit
Clients choose people they know, like and trust. Make your team visible at
networking events and in Chamber features. A photo series, short bios, or posts highlighting community involvement help humanize your brand. Whether it’s the mortgage officer who volunteers at local schools or the advisor who coaches Little League, these real stories build genuine relationships and make you feel integral to your local community.
The Bottom Line
In financial services, credibility is essential, but it is the relationships that truly drive growth. By aligning your outreach with the Chamber’s relationship-based structure, your marketing becomes more strategic, visible, and effective.
If you’re ready to build a more innovative marketing strategy or want support implementing these ideas, UB Advertising can help. We work with financial service providers to connect, convert, and grow. Reach out today to plan your next move.

How to Use AI to Tell if Your Million-Dollar Business Idea Has the Legs to Succeed

What Problem Does Your Business Idea Solve?
Start by defining who needs your solution and why. What pain point are you addressing? Is your idea creating something entirely new or improving an existing product or service?
AI-powered tools like AnswerThePublic, Exploding Topics, and Google Trends can help uncover what questions your audience is asking online. You can also use ChatGPT to summarize market research, brainstorm problem-solution statements, or simulate conversations with potential customers to stress-test your assumptions.
Once you’ve defined the problem, identify your competitive advantage. What features do you offer that others don’t? Tools like Copy.ai, Jasper, ChatGPT or Gemini can help you refine your messaging and clearly communicate benefits that matter to customers.
And if you’re still developing your business model, platforms like Leanstack or Strategyzer (paired with Gemini or ChatGPT for idea validation or SWOT exercises) can help you visualize how your business will operate and make money. Crunch the Numbers
When your idea feels solid, it’s time to gather real-world data.
• Industry Data: Tools like Statista, CB Insights, and ChatGPT with browsing or plugin capabilities can help you identify whether your industry is growing or shrinking, and what’s driving those changes.
• Competitor Data: Use Crayon, SEMrush, or SimilarWeb to study your competitors’ digital presence. ChatGPT or Gemini can then help you summarize that data and evaluate how you can differentiate.
• Customer Data: Platforms like SparkToro, HubSpot Insights, and Zoho Analytics can uncover who your customers are and where they spend time. If you have basic data or survey results, Both Gemini and ChatGPT can help you segment it and generate insights about your target market.
Having a business idea is not the same as having a business plan. That’s why it’s important to go beyond your initial inspiration and define how to turn that great idea into a functioning—and hopefully thriving—business.
Today’s entrepreneurs have access to a wide range of AI-powered tools that can help them explore, test, and refine their ideas more efficiently. Let’s look at the key questions you should ask—and where artificial intelligence can help along the way.
Geographic relevance also matters. Many tools can filter or visualize data by region, and ChatGPT or Gemini can help you analyze results for local market fit.
Once you’ve gathered the numbers, take a realistic look at everything: Is your idea still strong, or does it need refining?
Are You the Right Person to Execute the Idea?
Even the best ideas need the right person to bring them to life. Use personality or entrepreneurial assessment tools like Truity or Pymetrics to evaluate your strengths. If you’re preparing to pitch your idea, Yoodli can help you rehearse and refine your delivery, while ChatGPT and Gemini can help you script elevator pitches or answer common investor questions.
Need help explaining your “why”? Storytelling tools like StoryLab. ai, Gemini or ChatGPT can help you craft a founder story that resonates with partners, customers, and potential investors. But beyond tools, remember: launching a business takes grit, sacrifice, and perseverance.
Are you ready to commit?

Gervasi Vineyard is celebrating a standout performance at the 2025 Ohio Wine Competition, earning multiple awards for its exceptional portfolio—including a coveted Double Gold Medal for Passione, part of its signature Family Reserve Collection.
The timing of this achievement is especially meaningful as June marks Ohio Wine Month, a statewide celebration recognizing the vibrant and growing Ohio wine industry. Gervasi’s awardwinning wines are a testament to the craftsmanship and quality that define Ohio winemaking.
Award highlights from the 2025 Ohio Wine Competition include:
Double Gold – Passione Gold – Lascito Gold – Unita
Silver – Serenata, Zin Zin, and Sognata Bronze – Ciao Bella, Lucello, and Piove
“This recognition is a proud moment for our entire team,” said David Smith, Head Winemaker. “Our Family Reserve wines—Passione, Lascito, and Unita—represent the pinnacle of Gervasi’s winemaking, and to see them honored at this level is incredibly rewarding.”

Held annually, the Ohio Wine Competition is one of the state’s most respected wine events, with judging conducted by a panel of expert sommeliers, winemakers, and industry professionals.
As Ohio Wine Month approaches, Gervasi invites guests to celebrate by enjoying its award-winning wines onsite or by purchasing bottles online or at select retailers.

The power of your TPA claims examiner relationship
As a Sedgwick TPA customer our goal is to always provide you with comprehensive and immediate service for all of your workers’ compensation claim needs. Part of that service includes a dedicated claims examiner assigned to your account who can offer a detailed plan of action to assist you in navigating the Ohio workers’ compensation system.
When your company experiences a workers’ compensation claim, your assigned claims examiner will typically receive notice of the claim within a few days of the filing. Their immediate goal is to complete a claim review of all documentation available so that they can notify you of any concerns with the information on file. Some of the caution signs they monitor include:
• Prior medical history to the same body part
• A delay in seeking treatment
• Vague or inconclusive injury descriptions
• Medical treatment discrepancies
• The injury is reported soon after a known employer discipline
• Hobbies or extracurricular activities that could cause the reported injury
• Medical conditions that co-exist alongside the primary diagnosis (comorbidities)
Once the validity of a claim is verified your claims examiner will develop a detailed plan of action to monitor and help move the claim to final resolution either through full and final settlement of the claim or a full duty return to work.
Early communication with your claims examiner can provide clarity in the investigation process, reduce administration delays and ensure forward motion of the claim, which is a benefit to both you and your injured worker.
While it is an unfortunate fact that workers do get injured on the job and the majority of those claims are credible, a strong relationship with your assigned claims examiner who can review what options are available to you as the employer to mitigate time and expense in the claim is one of the best tools you have in your toolbox. Their expert knowledge of the Ohio Workers’ Compensation system can help you make informed decisions that will lead to successful claim outcomes.
