Historically, we are still below the average mortgage rates going back to 1971.
Mortgage rates have declined during recessions. At the moment, we aren’t in a recession and I will continue to inform you if that changes. I think setting expectations for mortgage rates to move sideways and to stay in the 5-6% range, is appropriate.
