Cal Door & Drawer takes pride in delivering a quality product on time. In order to ensure this, we have automated all of our notifications.
ORDER CONFIRMATIONS:
Order confirmations will be emailed to you. Once your order has been placed order confirmations will be emailed the next business day. We have the ability to store as many email addresses as you need.
You have until 12:00PM of that business day to advise us of any errors on our part due to data entry.
Once order(s) are in production, any cancellation or changes on your part will be subject to charges based on materials already cut.
ANY MISC or rush order shipping in 5 days or less; no changes can be made unless there was an entry error!
SHIPPING NOTIFICATIONS:
Shipping notifications will be emailed the day your order ships. Information included on this is your job #, job name, truck route or tracking information along with carrier
Due to the short lead times, all order(s) placed are processed for manufacturing the same day. The following day all orders processed are in production. There are hundreds of orders which leads to thousands of line items entered daily.
Please be sure to review your order confirmations when you receive them. By doing this, it will save time and cost for any potential errors.
Thank you

Warranty:
Cal Door & Drawer manufactures and ships unfinished wood products nationwide. Once our products are received it is impossible for us to monitor the conditions under which they are kept. Changes in temperature and/or humidity can cause wood to warp, twist or crack within hours. Our warranty is limited to the replacement of door, drawer fronts, molding and accessories as manufactured by Cal Door & Drawer.
Our liability is limited to the net invoice price of doors, drawer fronts, molding & accessories as sold by us. We provide special handling instructions with every order to minimize any warping, twisting or cracking due to conditions beyond our control.
Cal Door & Drawer acknowledges warping, swelling, twisting or cracking is a natural occurrence in unfinished wood products and not a manufacture defect. Request for warranty can be reviewed for up to 30 days.
Certain door styles will not be warranted under any circumstances. A signed disclaimer will be required prior to order being manufactured.
Paint Grade Materials:
Solid Paint Grade Doors & 5-Piece Drawer Fronts:
No Warranty for PG Poplar Frame with MDF Panel. Poplar is known to warp and/or twist. No Warranty for painting Solid Maple Frame & Panel or any other solid wood material.
We recommend PG Maple Frame with MDF Panel for the most stability against warping and twisting.
Inset Paint Grade Doors & 5-Piece Drawer Fronts:
No Warranty for PG Poplar Frame with MDF Panel. Poplar is known to warp and/or twist. No Warranty for painting any Solid Wood Frame and/or Plywood Panel. We recommend PG Maple Frame with MDF Panel for the most stability against warping and twisting.
Paint Grade Solid & Routed Drawer Fronts:
No Warranty on painting Solid Wood Drawer Fronts. We recommend and warranty MDF Solid Drawer Fronts.
All products must be inspected upon receipt.
Our guarantee covers the replacement of our product in an unfinished state and in good condition as originally delivered, F.O.B. our factory.
We are not responsible for any other costs.
Any variation from our normal construction specifications is not guaranteed, i.e. reducing the thickness of the panel or frames.
A warp or twist of 3/16 of an inch is not considered a defect. A twist is measured by placing the face of the door against a true plane surface.
Doors are manufactured to the nearest 1/16 of an inch.
Cal Door & Drawer will not be held responsible for delays caused by factors beyond our control, i.e., obstruction or blockage of usual routes of transportation, unavoidable accidents, riots, natural disasters, vehicle shortages, prevention of labor, power shortages or lack of materials. There are no other warranties of any kind expressed or implied.
All warranty claims must be authorized by a Cal Door & Drawer representative. By sending email photos to your Cal Door & Drawer representative, this will expedite the process.
Product Care Guidelines:
All wood species by nature will expand and contract.
All wood products should not be subject to abnormal heat, cold, extreme dryness or humid conditions. To preserve the quality of our unfinished wood products we strongly recommend sealing and finishing of doors, drawer fronts and moldings in a timely manner.
We recommend all wood products to be treated with a pre-sealer, especially when using medium to dark finishes to prevent blotchy or uneven finishing.
Cal Door & Drawer is not responsible for damaged doors caused by finishing. You will need to perform extra sanding steps when using darker stains and/or glazing applications. Completely finish all pieces on front, back, top, bottom and all cutouts.
Under no circumstances should unfinished millwork be delivered to a job site that is under construction and open to the natural elements.
We recommend that prior to delivering cabinets/doors to job site, all windows and exterior doors must be in place. Temperature of the job site should be at an occupancy level condition, prior to cabinet/door installation. All drywall and plaster should have had at least 2 weeks to dry prior to cabinet/door installation.
Cal Door & Drawer will not be held responsible for damage due to job site conditions.
Ordering Procedures:
Orders must be submitted as FINISHED DOOR SIZE only.
An order confirmation will be emailed to you the next business day.
Orders may be faxed, emailed, or can be placed online 24 hours a day
We request all orders to be placed on a Cal Door & Drawer order form.
We can accept your computer generated cut lists as long as you complete all the details of the order form except for sizes.
When sending in computer cut lists it is the customers responsibility to highlight and separate all different materials, door styles, and details i.e. glass doors, french lites, lazy susan and wainscot panels etc.
Special instructions should be clearly communicated in writing at the time the order is placed.
Standard lead time is 7 to 14 working days.
No changes can be made once an order has been placed and confirmed.
Specialty doors require a CAD or detailed drawing.
Lead time on specialty doors will be given when CAD drawings are approved. Usually 2-4 weeks. You will always receive an order confirmation and ship date.
If you do not receive an order confirmation within 24 hours please notify your Customer Service Representative. Do not resend your order without speaking to your Customer Service Representative first, as this can and will lead to duplicate orders.
If you are requested by your Customer Service Representative to resend an order please indicate on the top of the order or in special instructions that this is a RESENT ORDER - DO NOT DUPLICATE.
Online Orders:
A one time registration is required when ordering online. Go to www.caldoor.com.
Click on log in then enter in your email address and password (first time users need to register). Go to place a new order and submit.
It is recommended that you print a copy of order for your records.
You will receive an email confirmation that your order was received by the office as follows: "Thank you for your order, a quote or confirmation will follow."
If this confirmation is not received contact our Customer Service Department immediately Do not resubmit another order without calling and speaking to your Customer Service Representative first. If you are requested by your Customer Service Representative to resend an order please indicate in special instructions that this is a RESENT ORDER - DO NOT DUPLICATE.
Faxed in Orders:
Please fax order in only once to avoid duplicate orders.
If you receive a fax transmission error, contact our Customer Service Department to verify if order was received. If you are requested by your Customer Service Representative to resend an order please indicate on the top of the order form or in special instructions that this is a RESENT ORDER - DO NOT DUPLICATE.
Phoned in Orders:
We take and read back all sizes "width x height".
When your order is read back, you are responsible for verifying that the sizes and specifications are correct. Any mistake will be the customers responsibility. We strongly suggest orders be placed by fax, email or online to avoid read back mistakes.
Quotes:
Please indicate on top of order form or in special instructions "QUOTE ONLY" Generally most quotes are done the same day as received. If it is a special or large request it may take longer. Quotes are valid for 30 days from receipt.
General Pricing:
All prices are per square foot, figured to the nearest 1/100th of an inch. Minimum invoice charge is $25.00. Prices are subject to change without notice.
Sizing:
We add 1/8" on the width and height to all sizes. This allows us to oversize 1/16" all the way around which is removed during the manufacturing process to achieve a cleaner edge cut. Doors are manufactured to the nearest 1/16 of an inch.
Exact Sizing:
If tighter tolerances are required, order Exact Size and we will manufacture to the nearest 1/32 of an inch: add 10% to sq. ft. price.
No Shape:
Doors can be ordered No Shape where we leave the door 1/8" oversized width and height. We also recommend that you order your doors 1/16" oversized either width or height. This will allow for minor trimming and fitting.
Our experience tells us that if you submit a completed Cal Door & Drawer order form (fax, email or online) this will avoid errors, saving you time and money.
Customize Your Doors
Cal Door & Drawer offers a large variety of profile options to allow you to customize your doors to better fit your needs.
We offer an extensive amount of standard profiles for no additional charge. An additional charge will apply to some profiles that require more sanding or additional manufacturing time.
Any additional charges are clearly noted in our price book. Custom profiles are available, a CAD or detailed drawing required.

Sizing Information:
We add 1/8” on the width and height to all sizes. This allows us to oversize 1/16” all the way around which is removed during the manufacturing process to achieve a cleaner edge cut. Doors are manufactured to the nearest 1/16 of an inch.
Standard Sizing:
Doors are manufactured to the nearest 1/16”.
Exact Sizing:
If tighter tolerances are required, order Exact Size and we will manufacture to the nearest 1/32 of an inch: add 10% to sq. ft. price.
No Shape:
Doors can be ordered No Shape where we leave the doors 1/8” oversized width and height. This will allow for minor trimming and fitting.
Flush Inset Application:
It is virtually impossible to keep wide and/or tall doors flat even with the use of European hinges. We recommend using a Brass Ball Catch from Rockler Woodworking & Hardware. By using this product, 99% of your closing and/or warp issues will be eliminated.

Alder - Select:
Natural consistency and beautiful color can give it the visual appearance of Cherry, Maple or Birch. Alder dries to an even honey tone and can be finished to resemble more expensive fine-grained species. We recommend this product for natural to dark stains.

Cherry - Natural
Fine grain and smooth texture. Light brown to dark red heartwood, white to cream sapwood. Expect some heart and sap together on the face and back. Pitch pockets and small tight knots are acceptable. We recommend this product be used for medium to dark stains only.
