In the 1930s, the Walters Family from Torres Strait settled in a Cairns waterfront suburb. Through old photographs and memorabilia, this exhibition tells the story of one family’s role in shaping the character of the Cairns region.
Bob Evans, is the charming alter-ego of Australian recording artist Kevin Mitchell, who also fronts alternative rock band Jebediah. Join us for an evening of endearing lyrics and melodies as he returns to Tanks, on his ‘Famiiliiar Strranger’ album tour.
Delivering passionate rock ‘n’ roll, the Tanks will provide the perfect backd kdrop for the set of blisteringly dense and powerful songs from the Drones. With a huge following in both Australia and the US they’ll be sure to ‘rock’ the Tanks!
Jeff Martin (of the Canadian band The Tea Party) returns to an intimate solo format with a special event at Tanks. He’ll be performing the best of The Tea Party plus an array of his solo offerings and a few newly found treasures!
