Houston Director and Producer Dave Henry and Magpie River Films are happy to announce that the first and ONLY documentary feature about the Stanford Financial Group, “Where’s the Money? The Rise and Fall of Stanford Financial” continues in post-production and is scheduled to be released sometime 2nd Quarter, Spring, 2016. The documentary chronicles Allen Stanford, a fifth-generation Texan from Mexia (Anna Nicole Smith’s hometown). The documentary follows Stanford from his unlikely journey as a failed Waco gym owner to Forbes-listed Billionaire through an audacious ponzi scheme, using a money-laundering bank on the Caribbean Island of Antigua as his personal ATM. Meanwhile, happy investors, in the U.S., Mexico, Venezuela and around the world were getting account statements showing the growth of their nest eggs. In February 19th of 2009, the Federal authorities raided and shut down the Stanford Financial Group after years of suspicion and rumors, including repeatedly quashed investigations at the Security and Exchange Commission. The lost to clients by the scheme amount to over 7 billion dollars. To this day, the Receiver in this case has only uncovered a few hundred million dollars and thousands lost their entire life savings. The Downfall of Stanford was the second biggest financial scam in American history, after only Bernie Madoff and it was a massive failure by the SEC. This is Dave Henry’s first feature documentary. Mr. Henry is a seasoned Houston corporate video producer and was Stanford’s “go-to” video producer for almost a decade. In that time, he amassed a collection of over a thousand company videotapes, some of which will be used to tell this story. Dave Henry interviews victims and their attorneys, former employees, financial experts/regulators and some of the journalists who closely followed the story. “During my time as a Stanford video producer, I really had no sense of what was going on,” comments Director/Producer Dave Henry. “But, when the allegations came out, I began to see how the puzzle fit together. That’s when I knew I had to tell this sad but important story. Plus, I had all those videotapes in my garage!” Learn more about this documentary project, “Like” them and keep up with the progress on FB at: https://www.facebook.com/stanfordmovie and, follow them and see a trailer on their official website at: http://www.stanfordmovie.com

Director Marc Hampson, Writers Ryan and Jennica Schwartzman (we met Ms. Schwartzman several years ago at the Bayou Inspirational Film Festival-Houston) and Purpose Pictures have announced that they have met and surpassed their KickStarter crowdfunding campaign goals and will be in production of their new Romanic Drama/Comedy feature motion picture “Parker’s Anchor”. The team has managed to raise 26K in pre-sales for the DVD and in support of production. KickStarter is an all-or-nothing crowdfunding site. With a lofty goal of 25K the team did a great job. Inspired by true events, the story follows Krystal Parker who discovers late in adulthood that she is unable to have children. As the news slowly destroys her marriage and now separated, Krystal moves back ‘home’ and leans on the support of her best friend from High School. This is Krystal’s chance to start over - but is she really starting over? Or, was this the plan for her life all along? The film explores relationships, our struggles with identity and just letting go of plans and moving on. “Some of us are still figuring out what we are ‘going to do when we grow up” and that’s okay,” reflects co-writer and actress Jennica Schwartzman. “The important part is that we KEEP growing and expose ourselves to as many options as we can...enjoy the journey. That’s real life.” Directed by award-winning director Marc Hampson, production is scheduled to start December 31st, 2015 and continue into the next year, January 16th, 2016 and will be shot in Northwest Arkansas. Casting by three-time Primtime Emmy nominated casting director Elizabeth Barnes talent includes Jennica Schwartzman as Krystal Parker, Amy Argyle, Ryan Schwartzman, Sarah Colonna, Brandon Keener and Peter Weidman. Behind the camera shooting with the Epic Camera System is Cinematographer Paul Olson. “Marc Hampson has a unique visually stunning perspective,” comments co-writer, producer and actor Ryan Schwartzman, “when working with Cinematographer Paul Olson, we can not imagine a better team of filmmakers.” A movie about second chances “Parker’s Anchor” is slated to be quirky, beautiful and a must-see for those starting over in their 30”s. C47Houston will keep you posted on new developments on this film. Actor turned director Mykle McCoslin, Writer Amelia Ornelas and the Ricornel Productions company are raising funds on the crowdfunding site KickStarter to help produce their new “female” horror/comedy short motion picture “ZomBFFs”. Written by Amelia Ornelas and based on a short script and short movie called “Secrets Among Friends” and in order to appeal to a larger demographic audience, the script was reworked and rewritten to include a horror element. The story follows a group of women who have known each other since they were children. When one of them passes away they decide to stage an impromptu séance for laughs and accidentally bring an old friend back from the dead. “I wrote this script after years of reading breakdowns that read more about the physicality of the female characters rather than their actual characters (ie: hot moms, sexy girlfriends, young mother),” explains writer and producer Amelia Ornelas, “so I decided if I wanted to see breakdowns that were different, I should then create these breakdowns that were different.” Casting is still being developed and includes Amelia Jeffries, Jemma

Evans, Lindsay Anne Ehrhardt and Fabrizia Faustinella. The movie is slated as “The End” meets “Shaun of the Dead” with a twist of “Beetlejuice” and, most of all WOMEN! Deadline to contribute and help these moviemakers meet their 15k goal is coming up at the end of Saturday, October 31st. You can help produce “ZomBFFs” by visiting their KickStarter page at: http://kck.st/1P7K49c and contributing what you can.
