Desuden tilbyder Hjørring Produkthandel at foretage nedbrydning af jernkonstruktioner, opskæring af togvogne, lastbilchassis og påhængsvogne samt modtagelse af skrotbiler. Alt jern og metal afregnes efter vægt og til gældende dagspriser.
Hjørring Produkthandel Having existed for almost 80 years, the scrap merchant, Hjørring Produkthandel, is one of the towns’s oldest businesses within the iron and metalworking industry. In 1963, the firm moved from the central town district to its present address at Læsøvej, and in 1990 it was acquired by Birthe and Bjarne Vestergaard.
Hjørring Produkthandel Hjørring Produkthandel er med sine snart 80 år en af byens ældste virksomheder indenfor jernog metalindustrien. I 1963 flyttede firmaet fra midtbyen til den nuværende adresse på Læsøvej, hvor Birthe og Bjarne Vestergaard overtog den i 1990.
Hjørring Produkthandel deals in the collection and treatment of scrap iron, metal, electric motors, cables and tyres for recycling. The busi-
ness is also involved in the sale of lengths of pipe cut to measure, iron girders, commodity iron and plates. The firm employs four people and makes use of the most novel technological solutions. Hjørring Produkthandel has environmental certification pursuant to the ISO 14001 standard, and thus the firm is subject to inspection not only by the supervisory authority of the Municipality of Hjørring but also by representatives from the global certification-management provider, Det Norske Veritas. Hjørring Produkthandel cooperates with customers from all over Vendsyssel in connection with the picking up and collection of scrap from customers within as diverse trades as e.g. plumbing businesses, smithies, agribusinesses, mink farms, the iron and metal industry, and businesses within the food-industry sector. In addition, Hjørring Produkthandel also provides assistance in connection with iron-structure dismantling, the cutting up of train carriages and wagons, lorry chassis, and trailers plus the reception of scrap cars. The price of all scrap iron and metal will be settled according to weight subject to the day’s market price.
