Our tour guides are know-it-all’s which is actually a good thing. Travelling in a small group means more time to learn from experienced guides who are eager to share their passion for their country. In other words, more opportunities to discover the secrets that only the locals know about.
On a Bunnik Tour, everyone gets a window seat. That’s right. We keep our group sizes small but our coaches spacious, so you’ll always find plenty of extra seats to stretch out in comfort.
Full coaches often mean your holiday snaps feature the back of someone’s head. When the coach isn’t full, you’ll spend less time scrambling for a better view and more time soaking up the scenery.

The only thing we love more than travel, is doing it together. Small groups provide more meaningful connections between like-minded travellers and the people, culture and places we visit. It really is ‘who’ you go with that makes all the difference.
Travelling in smaller groups gives us greater flexibility when it comes to where you rest your head at night. In Egypt and Jordan, we choose our accommodation based on location, service and how much it can add to your holiday experience, including character-filled stays that are often off-limits to larger groups.
What’s the best way to truly experience Egypt and Jordan? By exploring it like a local — and there’s no better way to do that than in a small group. Whether you’re sifting through treasures at a centuries-old souk or indulging in a street snack, our itineraries place you at the heart of the destination, giving you more time to connect with local culture.
Small groups are more flexible, so we can change the itinerary around to suit the local conditions. Even if it’s off the beaten track, we’re always down for a detour.
For logistical reasons, large groups rarely stray from the typical tourist trail. With a smaller group, we can venture to lesser-travelled areas, visiting local villages and taking part in authentic cultural experiences.
Small groups are low-impact and don’t spoil the very place you’ve come to see. By not being limited to large hotels and restaurants, we are able to better support the communities who are sharing their world with us.
Leave the details to us. We’ve put everything you’ve ever wanted to see and do (plus a few hidden gems) into our small group tours. No hidden extras or cheeky costs: the price you pay is the price you pay. That includes accommodation, special experiences and everything in-between.
Our tours include all sightseeing, return international airfares on our Classic Tours, and even taxes and tips where it is customary. All you need to worry about is having the time of your life.
Tipping is expected in many of the countries we visit and often makes up a large portion of people’s wages, so it’s important to get it right. But you don’t need to worry about that. It’s included in the cost of your tour.
From staying at the luxurious Old Cataract Hotel, where Agatha Christie famously wrote Death on the Nile, to spending a night in a traditional Bedouin-style desert camp or bubble tent in Wadi Rum. If it’s a remarkable experience, we’ll include it in your tour.
Breakfast is included daily on tour, along with group welcome and farewell dinners. We’ll also include some special culinary experiences as we explore. From enjoying a farm-to-table feast in Madaba to tucking into the flavours of Cairo with the Great Pyramids as your backdrop, we know how important it is to take your taste buds on an adventure, too.
As a family of travellers at heart, for us it’s not just about clocking up countries or as simple as leading you to a destination. Of course we’ll show you the iconic attractions, but our tours dig a little deeper, including the types of cultural experiences you can’t do on your own or with a large group.
Why stay one night when you can stay two? Our itineraries include multi-night stops to give you more time to take in your surroundings. It’s all about finding the balance between squeezing every bit of fun out of your time away and remembering to hit pause, relax and just be in holiday mode.
Anybody can give you a coach tour. But there’s nothing like hopping into a 4WD to tear through the sandy dunes of Wadi Rum or sailing across the Nile aboard a wooden felucca. We like to mix it up when it comes to getting around, so you can experience your destination from a new perspective.
The memories that come from spontaneous exploration are something no tour group can mimic. So we don’t. Our tours are personal, immersive and blend just the right balance of guidance with the freedom to explore.

A Bunnik Tour is perfect for independently minded travellers with good levels of mobility. While we don’t put specific age limits on our tours, we do impose a firm policy on the level of fitness required by all our clients to ensure your safety and the safety of other travellers.
Because of this, we reserve the right to refuse bookings if we feel that the requirements of the tour are too demanding.

Bunnik Tours travellers need to:
Be able to walk 4-5 hours on uneven surfaces, on any given day
Walk up multiple flights of stairs and short, steep hills
Stand for extended periods of time without needing to sit down, often in hot/humid climates
Carry their own luggage
Get on and off various modes of transport without assistance, including small boats
Navigate archaeological sites, which are often uneven and unstable
We’ll help you every step of the way, but it pays to be organised ahead of time. Here’s what to look out for.
To confirm your booking, we require a non-refundable deposit. We will then arrange a number of progress payments to make along the way. See our website for full details.
You will need to arrange your own travel insurance. It’s compulsory for every tour, as we’d hate for something to happen to you and you’re not covered.
We can help you obtain any required travel visas, but it’s important to note that they can take time to arrange.
Your travel documents, including itineraries and hotel lists, are prepared approximately three weeks before you commence your tour.
