Don Braley, president of Los Angeles Hoo-Hoo Club 2, announces that the early promotion of Christmas party ticket sales indicates a sellout for the colossal event scheduled for the evening of Thursday, December 11, at the Biltmore hotel.
At a committee meeting held at the CMD Club September 23, it was determined to start the activity at 6:29 p.m. instead of noon, as previously announced. Others in attendance at this special meeting included Jim Forgie, Harvey Koll, Freeman Campbell, Ole May, Joe Petrash, Harry Boand, Ken Schmidtke, Don Bufkin and Chuck Lember. Survey work conducted by all members of the Steering committee indicated an evening affair would draw a much larger attendance than a party starting at noon.
Santa will be on hand at 6:29 p.m. to greet the youngsters from LeRoy Boys' I{ome and distribute gifts to get the show on the road. Members of the Los Angeles Hoo-HooEtte Club 1 will prepare individual packages for each and every boy. Members of Club 2 will ascertain what the boys want Santa to bring them and purchases will be made accordingly.
It was also decided to call this afrair the Southern California Lumber Industry Christmas Party in view of the fact that all organized lumber associations will participate in this big event for underprivileged youngsters.
Following the presentation of gifts, dinner will be served promptly at 7:09. The party will then be taken over by the adults for dancing and entertainment until after miclnight.

Film's Not for the Birds
"Ruffled Grouch" and his mate, "Ruffled Spouse," are two of the fanciful birds caricatured in "Birdbagger's Guide," a color-slide film produced by Simpson Logging Company to promote its line of acoustical products. The film is for distributor and dealer meetings with their salesmen, builders, remodeling contractors, and others interested in the sound conditioning market. Humorously conceived "birds," such as the Western Video and the Teenage Rockingbird, are used to illustrate the fact that noise has become a major problem in today's homes.
"Birdbagger's Guide" runs 20 minutes. Showings can be arranged by calling the nearest Simpson acoustical product distributor or by writing Simpson Logging Company, Shelton, Washington.
