T. D. Bennett and J. D. McCann, who recently purchased the Gordon-MacBeath Hardwood Co. (until recently known as L. J. Carr & Company), have named Willis E. Parnell as company manager. Parnell recently joined the organization afier i3 years with U.S. Plywood Corp. where, at his last post in Eugene, Oregon, he was manager of the _company-s Oregon Division Research and Development Dept.

Homer N. Stephenson will continue as the company controller, the same position he has held for the past eight years with Sacramento Box & Lumber Co. This latter combany was also sold to Bennett and McCann (CLM, 8/l/58>. Additional appointments by Bennett and McCann have included those-of Frank D. Vincent, Ed Cryer and Verlon D. McKinney.

Vincent has been named purchasing agent for the company as a whole, and salesmanager of Gordon-MacBeath's Sacramento warehouse. Vincent has been affiliated with Gordon-MacBeath Hardwood Company in various capacities for the past five years. Cryer was appointed manager of the company's Oakland warehouse. McKinney, who was formerly with Gordon-MacBeath f.rom 1952 _to 1955, reioined the firm and will work under Cryer at Oakland. - Bennett and McCann will serve as president and vicepresident, respectively, of Gordon-MacBeath Hardwood Company. Both have moved their homes to Sacramento, McCann from Medford, Ore.; Bennett from San Francisco.
