Rudy Melesky, manager of Interbay Lumber Co. of Marin, is back on the mend after surgery at Sequoia Hospital, Palo Alto, on August 13.
Newark lumber merchant, \4'arren Osborne, owner of Osborne Lumber Co., suffered a heart attack while vacationing in the East during mid-August. Latest reports as we go to press have him resting comfortabiy with Tim Fogarty ably holding down the fort in his absence.

Herb Farrell, for many years associated with Hogan Wholesale Building Materials, joined T. M. Cobb Company last month and will be covering Bay Area sales out of the company's newly acquired Santa Rosa warehouse. Herb has been active in Bay Area lumber circles for several years and is a past president of Oakland Hoo-Hoo Club 39.
Marinland Lumber made its annual salmon safari on the good ship Blue Fin, of Sausalito, on August 4, with nine hardy lumbermen netting 22 salmon, 8 rock cod and 97 cans of Ole. Participants in the highly successful outing were hosts Mack Giles and John Polach, and guests Bob Meyer (Home Lumber), Bill Wray (Hubbard & Johnson), Bud Byard (Gillon Lumber), Burt Wheeler (Larkspur Lumber), Allen Warden (Fred Warden & Son), George Schmidbauer (Crawford Lumber), and Jack Pomeroy (Lumber Merchants Assn.).
