Appointment of William G. Jeftrey as general sales manager for Calaveras Cement Company,. a division of The Flintkote Company, has been announced by Mel J. London, Calaveras vice-president in charge of marketing.

London also has announced the appointment of Jack Gordon as sales *urras"r.

Gordon joined the firm in 1954, and has been assistant sales manager since September, 1959.

London said the promotions are keyed to a long range program of stepping up Calaveras service to customers in the company's recently expanded marketing area which now includes California and western Nevada from Bakersfield north to the Oregon-Washington line.

Jeffrey has been with the Calaveras organization for more than thirteen years. He was vice-president of Stockton Building Materials Co., a Calaveras subsidiaryo for four years starting in 1950, and has been Calaveras sales manager since 1954.
